Parkway Tavern checks all the boxes — great beer selection, delicious food, good music, and a really cool neighborhood atmosphere. It's tucked right into the middle of a residential neighborhood and feels like a true local spot.

The French dip was excellent. The roast beef was perfectly grilled, flavorful and tender, and the sandwich was really well done.

Bonus - the bathrooms were super clean!

The theme is Mary Poppins, (if the name doesn't already give it away) so even if you don't opt for dine-in, you have plenty of knick knacks and treasures to look at while you wait for your guilty pleasure. I didn't realize it was drive thru only so I missed the turn a few times. It's located in the U-Haul parking lot.
The service staff were kind and personable. They were also quick with taking orders and answered my question about the deluxe grilled cheese (basically, it's cheeseburger without the patty, lol)

“This place has the friendliest staff, cleanest kitchen I’ve ever seen, and the best biscuits I’ve ever tasted. Don’t even get me started on the specialty cheesecakes. Absolutely CRAZY Tacoma food scene pull. I will be a forever fan on this place. I drove an hour just to try it.

Because of where I live, I eat a lot of Vietnamese food. This place was definitely different. First of all, the staff were very nice. Secondly, the noodle salad was unlike others I've had. The highest praise goes to the shrimp. I've never had a shrimp roll as good as this was. The ingredients were fresh and delicious. I will definitely come back to try more dishes.
