“Excellent atmosphere, and friendly staff. New in town and I came in during the afternoon asking questions about a listing for a bartending position. Both the downstairs and upstairs bartenders were super friendly and helpful. Came back later that night with friends for drinks and was impressed with how well it's run considering the size and heavy traffic.

“Yes, the breakfast is obviously fantastic. Ma's is a staple. We have tried many items on the lunch menu as well and everything has been delicious. The home made potato salad is also fantastic. The prices can't be beat. That's the icing on the cake. It is a local hole in the wall with old school diner vibes. If you are ok with that, you're right at home. The lounge is amazing as well.“

“I understand the negative reviews. Political opinions should stay private. But a business is personal so ignore what offends you. I had a nice time. This is one of those places mindset and company matter more than the wow factor due to the atmosphere. I travel to many states and eat in many places, this was cozy, food was homie, coffee was great, server was kind, and the decorations of old cars are appreciated. A great spot for a quick bite on road trips.“

“I was here with a friend of mine who comes here a lot. I got a pizza and it was really good (the all meat pizza)! My friend said the burgers are completely awesome, so yhe next time I am there, I will try one out! They also had a pretty good selection of beer. “Price can't be beat. I love the $1.50 Hot Dog and drink. I get the hot dog (without the bun for gluten free) and the ice cream. For my drink I get root beer and make my own root beer float. Where else can you get dinner and dessert for under $5? My frugal side loves this.

I got the turkey bacon ranch sandwich on fresh (and when I say “fresh” I absolutely mean it) and it was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had. My husband got the turkey pesto ranch on herbed focaccia bread and his mind was blown. No more Subway or Panera for us. This place is our new first choice go to for sandwiches. The cafe is rustic & only open 3/4 days a week & often has hand lettered sign, feel like I am in Oaxaca eating the large lamb broth consommé with garbanzos & vegetables & lamb barbicoa cooked in a brick lined pit with banana leaves— & the homemade flan, oh my! Family operated, Louis & Ruth & a sister in law cooks the flan in her home & you are lucky if any is left by noon on weekends. Did I mention the homemade Mexican hot chocolate made in the chocolate pitcher. & wooden tool like in Oaxaca? And the fruit Frescas made in the summer— watermelon!
