“Visited Nirvana Indian & Nepali Cuisine in Kingston on November 2, 2025, around 5:30 PM, and had a truly wonderful experience! Our server was very kind, polite, and attentive, which made the evening even better.

The restaurant is in a perfect location, beautifully designed, clean, and welcoming. The atmosphere feels warm and relaxing, ideal for a cozy dinner with family or friends.

We ordered the Goat Rogan Josh, Shahi Paneer, Assorted Naan (with onion naan instead of Kashmiri), Raita, and a refreshing Virgin Mojito. Every single dish was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The naan was one of the best we’ve ever had soft, fresh, and full of authentic taste. The curries were rich and aromatic, and everything was served hot and beautifully presented.

The prices were very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, and the service was excellent from start to finish.

“I didn't realize the restaurant is inside the chevron gas station until I saw the sign on the building. There are 2 tables in the back if you want to dine-in. They work with a few of the delivery services and offer a full takeout menu. The food is delicious!! It's not quite as Americanized as other Indian places I've tried around here, which is such a joy! They even have a list of gluten free options and can substitute coconut milk in a few dishes to make them dairy free. I had the chicken curry with coconut milk and it was fantastic. Plus they use basmati rice, cooked perfectly. I probably won't dine-in, but I'll definitely come here for takeout!

Parking: It's in a gas station, so there are a few spots in front of the building. To the side there is also a general use parking lot.

Wheelchair accessibility: There are a couple handicap spots in front of the grocery store and inside is wheelchair accessible.“

“We ordered a dish that we wanted to have a bit more sauce. Everything is made to order and would have taken a minute. Another order was placed for Tikki Masala and they made extra for us. Little things make a business shine. Thank you for a wonderful birthday dinner.“

“Stopped in for Happy Hour at Rupee. Now—we are Rupee Groupies!!! Had 4 small plates, dessert (the Love Cake), and chai, as well as a craft mango and lemon soda and a ginger beer. This is possibly the best meal we have had in Seattle in some time! The entire meal was like a symphony of flavors, each adding a distinct character and together, like heavenly music. “I absolutely love this farmers market, and it’s always a pleasure to see this stall here! The food is genuinely delicious, and it’s clear a lot of care goes into the preparation. I personally missed having sambar with the dosa — but I understand they’re showcasing a specific regional style of serving dosa, which is cool in its own right.

That said, I did have two main issues. First, the long queue and wait time. If you’re planning to spend just a couple of hours at the market, a big chunk of it could easily go into waiting at this one stall, making it harder to enjoy the rest of the market. Second, the food felt significantly overpriced. While I appreciate the quality ingredients and small-batch approach, you can get a more complete dosa experience — with multiple chutneys, sambar, variety, quantity and dine-in comfort — at other spots for much better value.

All in all, it’s a tasty treat if you’re already at the market and in the mood to splurge a bit — just be prepared for a wait and a lighter plate.“
