We got shrimp, chicken, carne asada, and birria and loved everything. My favorites were the shrimp and carne asada.

The tacos are big — like one is basically two. The salsa bar is really good with a good variety of extremely spicy to no spice, and the tortillas and toppings taste fresh!

Also got arroz and frijoles and honestly… best I’ve had at a restaurant. It tastes like it came from your mom’s, your tia’s, or your grandma’s kitchen.

“This amazing Mexican restaurant won’t disappoint when you visit—the guacamole is the best we ever had (10/10). That alone is worth five stars for $14! The decor is spot on for a casual vibe.

It’s also kid friendly and has a patio that’s pet friendly. For a Father’s Day meal for two it was under $50. The food was so good.“

“Okay, you definitely have to know what you’re getting into here - I mean, it’s a Taco Del Mar. But for a fast-food establishment, this is probably about as nice as you can get. It’s not technically as fancy as something like a Chipotle, but it’s got more soul than any of those corporate slop bowl places could ever dream of having, and it feels like it’s maintained in a much more loving manner. The food is tasty and comforting, and the employees couldn’t be kinder. If you’re in the neighborhood and you’re looking for a quick bite, there aren’t too many spots I’d recommend above it.“

The taste of the meat directly off the flat top grill combined with the fresh ingredients make this one of the best gems in the neighborhood imo. The guy running it is so friendly and welcoming too. “There's NOTHING friendly about this place. I will not play the race card, HOWEVER, I did record a video. The server who served us left and the next shift bartender came. This guy did NOT acknowledge me until I asked for a napkin. The video is almost 6 minutes long and he so much did not say hello. The queso was so "watery" that it dripped on me and the bar. Appetizer plates were not even brought to us. No one checked on how the food was or drink. Poor service. Unfortunately, in this day and time this type of service is accepted and tolerated.“

“Santa Fe used to be the sister location of the popular Rosita's in Greenlake. The menu is slightly different at Santa Fe now. All the standard classics are available.
The Guacamole Appetizer is a standout...a chunky preparation, very fresh and of a generous size. Note that the guac you are served with meals is different: a smooth, more generic, type which is fine but nothing like the app.
My Dad loved the Chile Relleno and my Mom enjoy the Huevos Con Chorizo. However, my Vegetarian Chimichanga was very average. Veggie Chimichangas at Rosita's are fantastic, and a family favorite. While Santa Fe's is passable, it was basically filled with fajita vegetables... No cheese or beans.
Service was very good, and there's plenty of parking. Parking is a major obstacle at Rosita's.“

We enjoyed everything except our waitress the one with the out kast t- shirt, maybe she was having a sour day but her personality and energy was a total bummer. Next time we go we would prefer the gal with all the tattoos , she was much more fun and personable. And we will return,“
