“Vinnie’s Wine Shop is a hidden gem and one of my favorite spots to unwind on the weekend. It’s a small, cozy place with a laid-back vibe that instantly makes you feel at home. The wine selection is fantastic — they offer a wide variety from around the world, with something for every taste and budget. Whether you're a wine newbie or a seasoned enthusiast, the staff is super knowledgeable and always ready to help you find the perfect bottle or glass.

One of the best things about Vinnie’s is their Sunday oyster special — fresh oysters for only $2 each! Pair them with a crisp white wine or a sparkling rosé, and it’s honestly one of the best ways to spend a Sunday afternoon. The oysters are always fresh and beautifully served.

That said, there are a couple of things to be aware of: they automatically add a 20% gratuity to the bill without telling you, and there’s an extra $3 fee if you pay with a credit card. It makes sense in a way — it probably helps them offer the oyster deal — but it would be better if they were more upfront about it.

Still, the experience is worth it for the quality and cozy vibe.“

“From the moment our party walked in we were greated with a warm welcome. The service was prompt and non-invasive throughout the meal. Beverage program and wine selection is worth coming back for alone. “Last night a small group of us celebrated my husband's 52nd birthday.

Since I was introduced to We Rise almost a year ago, this has been my go to place. The list of wines are amazing and the non alcoholic options are great.

Last night the staff was great. Rayna or Raina (sorry for the mis-spelling), they were on top of it along with the other staff (I did not get the other staff members name). I love the intimacy of the space, the food and the vibe.

My partner had a great time and we were able to introduced our friends to this spot. I hope We Rise has a long life as long as they want. This is definitely my go to place and I hope to be there more often.“

Very knowledgeable about her product, she didn't hesitate to help me pair a wine with the food I ordered. This place is bit distant from the center of Capitol Hill that it was quiet, which I enjoyed very much.

I didn't need salt or pepper. It was beautifully seasoned. My favorite by far was the rabbit kidneys on toast. Wow!! Mind blowing Michelin worthy dish in my mind. The kidneys had a lovely sear on them, cooked beautifully and topped with a rich sauce. The bread underneath was soft with a lovely crust and absorbed the sauce so well. I enjoyed my meal in totality. I'm placing pictures but won't tell you everything I ordered. Go early or make a reservation (your best bet) and order a variety of dishes and see if you happen to order anything like I got to experience. I am an absolute foodie and enjoy Michelin restaurants and unique cuisine experiences and for what I got at Off Alley, it was up there! When I got my check, I expected to pay more because it was such a niché experience with high quality products. It really should cost more. I'll certainly head back...soon!“
