“An exceptional wine bar. A very intentional space created for intimate conversations and connections to be made. I went here with my friend for her birthday and it was such a relaxing and fun environment. You’ll have to look at the menu board, but if you don’t know what to drink, ask! They are so well-verse in their menu selection and have great recommendations. We had a true girl dinner, a full charcuterie board with glasses of red wine. Everyone, including the patrons, are so nice! You can definitely start a conversation at the bar counter and make a new friend. The owner, David, has created such an incredible space attracting such genuine people and will offer you life advice if you want it or just amazing cheese recommendations. You won’t regret coming here!“

“What a cute and charming wine bar. That’s what jumped out at me with is place. Great layout and decor and a nice warm, inviting vibe. This place is a self-service wine bar with selections of wine basically on tap. You pay by the ounce with 1, 3, or 5-ounce sizes. We didn’t get anything to eat, but they have food including charcuterie boards, and truffle chocolates. While the place is nice and the service great, the wines are not very good. We sampled 6 and only liked one. For the price you pay which is on the higher side, I’d hope they get some quality wines. I know you have to show profit with margins, but please upgrade your wines. Overall I recommend this place as it’s lovely, but don’t get your hopes up on the wines.“

“I am blown away by how good this place is. Not even exaggerating, best Italian food in Seattle.
The spinach cannelloni they had tonight was an absolute dream. I am BEGGING them to make this permanent on the menu. I’m going to be craving it.“

“My husband and I love this neighborhood wine shop. The selection of wine is spectacular and the food is top notch. Are you planning a date night? This is the spot! Are you out on a girls night? This is the spot! Need a break to relax? This is the spot! Its a beautifully curated space with thoughtful selection. Can drink wine in store or buy a bottle to drink at home. Plus the owners delightful.“

“Great service and great food! Stopped by for oysters and ar drinks and was not dissapointed! Small spot but you can find a spot later at night before they close. The sides they use for oysters were spot on and unique. Will definitely be coming back“

“So first of all I would like to say if you grab a burger and fries from next door at Red Mill you are allowed to come inside here while you enjoy their enormous selection of cold beverages. Not only are they extremely helpful and knowledgeable but you have a huge selection. A very clean and inviting spot with an amazing view outside where the front is even open a nice day. Plenty of places to sit. Parking is a little tight so I tried to avoid right at lunch time.“

“We Rise Wines is the wine bar Seattle has been asking for.
From the moment you walk in, you’re surrounded by stunning work from local artists, warm energy, and a curated selection of Black-owned and women-owned wines and beers (shoutout to Seattle’s own Métier Brewing). Owner Jamila Conley is a consummate host who has built something truly special here: a space where culture, community, and great wine coexist beautifully.
The events calendar alone is worth following. I’ve done drag bingo and Geeks Who Drink, and every time I leave with new friends and great memories. The tasty bites hit the spot, and whether you’re catching up with old friends or meeting new ones, this is the place for it.
I haven’t even gotten to the wine club or tastings yet, which tells you how much there already is to love. We Rise is more than a wine bar. It’s an oasis.“

“Young crowd. Very popular place. Noisy. We stood out with our white hair, but were treated so nicely we felt quite at home. The idea seems to be that you drink a lot and eat a little. But it's possible to eat a lot and drink a little. We split a salad. My husband had a Mac n cheese, and I had a brisket ragout. We then split the posset dessert. I had a glass of wine and my husband had a non-alcoholic beer. All of the food was delicious, and so was my wine. The bill (including tax but not tip) came to $115. Recommend!“
“Valentina's Wine Bar is the perfect addition to downtown Bellevue. Nestled right on Main Street, it's been beautifully appointed and is the perfect spot to pop in for a glass of wine (or a pint of beer) and light bites. Her wine list is extensive and impressive -- think old world classics like Barolo, Chablis, and champagne with thoughtful local additions. We tried the flatbreads and were really impressed by those, too (ate them too quickly to snag a picture!). Valentina was serving when we went there and she's warm, knowledgeable, and clearly deeply passionate about good wines. We will definitely be back here!“
“Walking into Aluel Cellars on top of Queen Anne feels like stepping into a snug vineyard tasting room transplanted into the city. I settled in and chose their Aluel Signature Flight and their Aluel New Release Flight, each a carefully sequenced lineup of their handcrafted Washington estate wines. The Signature Flight had richer, more developed profiles while the New Release offered bright, excited youth. I paired them with the European tinned fish, sardines and pulpo that arrived in polished little tins, and asked about the oysters. The server said they often have them for pairing events, so depending on timing you might catch fresh oysters too. Compared to other wine bars or tasting rooms in town, Aluel strikes a rare balance: serious about wine craft but laid back in vibe, welcoming instead of pretentious, and offering well curated bites that elevate rather than distract.“
“My husband and I have had the pleasure of frequenting this business a few times! We were invited to attend a few live performances by two friends of ours. We LOVE wine. This business specializes in artisinal and small-batch wines from the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France. DELICIOUS! Their appetizer menu is EXCEPTIONAL! Their service is IMPECCABLE!
If you are as enamored of fine wine as we are, check this beautiful business out! You will find it worth your time. And much, much more!“

“BFV is a fun place. The wine is good, and the waiters know what they are doing. What’s not to like? 😀“
“For years we’ve said all Perrinville was missing was a nice little tasting room, and we’re SO happy Elsom stepped up to the plate.
I had the pleasure of attending the grand opening yesterday with my beautiful (9 months pregnant) fiancée and my mother. We were immediately welcomed with pours of the 2023 Albariño and the Rosé, and the staff went out of their way to walk us through their non-alcoholic and snack options for my fiancée. That kind of attentiveness set the tone for the whole visit.
The Albariño had the perfect summertime lightness with just the right note of tartness, smooth with a little bite. The Rosé was right there with it.
Since we live a 10-minute walk away and plan on being regulars, we skipped the agonizing-over-the-menu phase and just ordered the first three bites: the mixed nuts, the salmon bites and the cucumber mango salad. We also got to try the truffle popcorn and finished with the lemon cake. (Apologies in advance if I butcher the names, forgot to snap a pic of the menu.)
Everything is prepared with such care and attention to balance that someone with a trained palate will absolutely notice, but even the most casual eater will want to finish every last crumb.
A quick sidenote on truffle: it feels like every place slaps it on fries or popcorn now, and usually so heavy-handed that it bulldozes everything else on the plate. Honestly, I’ve gotten a little tired of it. So I want to be clear, Elsom’s popcorn with truffle salt is perfect. The truffle is a whisper, not a shout, exactly how it’s supposed to be used. It’s dusted with a sharp white cheese powder that makes finger-licking impossible to resist. The ladies got mad at me because I demolished most of the basket. Worth it.
The mixed nuts (I think maple, rosemary and cayenne?) were awesome. Rosemary is another ingredient I usually avoid because it tends to bulldoze a dish. Not here. The nuts came out warm, the cayenne made these little cameo appearances between bites, and a sip of wine washed it all down beautifully. We’ll be ordering these every visit, and if they ever bag them up to take home, consider us stocked up for life.
The salmon bites were incredible. Salmon, roe and avocado on a crispy little square of rice that was seared on both sides for the perfect textural contrast, finished with pickled red onion and a refreshing thin slice of radish. I was hungry and went one-biter. Lesson learned. Definitely a two-biter next time lol.
The cucumber mango salad was confusing in the best possible way. How do these flavors work together this well? I think I tasted chives? Mint leaves? It shouldn’t compute, but it did. I love when a dish challenges my palate, and this one was a magic trick. I got told to slow down and save some for the rest of the table. Sorry ladies.
The lemon cake was brought out by the owner herself because she felt bad about a slightly longer wait, which honestly we didn’t even notice, we were having too good a time. It was a lovely gesture, and the cake itself was another ode to balance: sweet, light, citrusy and the perfect level of moisture. Gone before I could stop myself. Sorry again ladies.
We are absolutely thrilled to have Elsom in the neighborhood and can’t wait for evening walks down to the tasting room and their future dinners and events.
Service was incredible. The atmosphere was nothing but good vibes. The wine was excellent, and the food was creative without trying too hard to be different, which is the hardest balance of all to pull off.
Welcome to Perrinville. We’re so happy you’re here.“

“What an incredible experience at Browne Family Vineyards Bellevue!
The wines were outstanding, and the whiskey selection was equally impressive—each pour showcasing the quality and craftsmanship the Browne family is known for.
What truly set this place apart, however, was the hospitality. The service was warm, genuine, and refreshingly authentic.
A special thank you to Brendan, who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. His knowledge, recommendations, and friendly personality added so much to the experience and made the evening feel personal rather than transactional.
It’s rare to find a place that combines exceptional wine and whiskey with such sincere and memorable service.
We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bellevue.“
“Lovely little spot with a very nice owner who knows her stuff. I'm not a bubbles guy but I wanted to check it out and really enjoyed it. Highly recommend!“
“So much fun and so knowledgeable! You can get a Champagne flight, a sparking wine flight, and or a wine flight. The champagne and wine was delicious, and I really appreciated the knowledge they shared. The music is also lots of fun and the place is a comfy place to hang out.“

“I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to taste Washington wine and cozy place.
This place is bit distant from the center of Capitol Hill that it was quiet, which I enjoyed very much.
Me and my company tried flights; tasted 4 different wines. The manager explained every bottle of wine nice and in detail. Overall, it was a great experience.“
“If you are in the mood for elegant, vintage drinks with a whimsical (truly whimsical) twist - look no further - thus is your stop, for a sip - or two, or... We had the Chai Old Fashioned and the Last Word... If the devil is in the details - so are the companions of Bacchus - the REAL maraschino cherry in the Last Word and the massive ice cube in the Old Fashioned confirm how serious thus place is about its drinks reputation. Also, the Cherry and Apricot Salad gave us that so very needed connection with the local farmers' produce, it being a delightfully crispy concoction of bitter radicchio and peppery greens, smoothed by a pungent goat cheese and vanilla balsamic vinaigrette. The bread and the sharp olive oil were especially appreciated with the salad. We love gelato, but ordered the blackberry sorbet and did not regret it since it came with a solid chunk of anise biscotti - an excellent pairing for the double espresso. Our waiter, Troy, made us feel well attended, but not even once did he overdo it.“
“One of the most unique wine bars in Seattle. If you want something different this is the place to go. “Macarons are a favorite food of mine. I’ve tried many macarons from many places. Those other macarons do not hold a candle to Lady Yum’s. Their macarons are actually on my top 10 list of favorite foods of all time. They make my soul happy. My husband picks me up some every time he travels to Seattle and although I miss him when he travels…I’m also kinda happy when he goes because he gets me treats from there.“

“There are places in this world that find you rather than the other way around. I have sat in the grand dining rooms of Florence. I have lingered over Barolo in the hill towns of Piedmont. I have smoked aged Cubans on terraces overlooking the Adriatic while the sun took its time disappearing. I know what the real thing feels like.
And yet here I was, a man who has circled this particular block in Kirkland a thousand times behind the wheel of something fast, never once stopping. Downtown Kirkland has a reputation among those of us who know it well. Restaurants arrive with great fanfare, burn bright for a season, and vanish like smoke from a cigar you wish you had savored more slowly. I had written this neighborhood off without ever giving Rimini the courtesy of a glance.
Then one evening, alone, family abroad, I found myself searching for something worth dressing for. Waze delivered me, almost conspiratorially, to a door I had passed in ignorance more times than I care to admit. Fifty feet from my cigar lounge. Walking distance from my favorite Mexican table. There it was. Waiting.
I walked in and the room rearranged something inside me.
The staff moves through the dining room speaking Italian with the easy confidence of people who were born into it. The beautiful ones condescend to English when necessary and do so graciously. The candles are not decorative. The wine list is not a gesture. It is a serious document assembled by someone who has actually been to the vineyards, who understands that a great Italian meal is not complete without a bottle that has its own story to tell.
It took me immediately back to Firenze and Crossroads in their prime, twenty years ago, before success made them comfortable and comfort made them ordinary. Rimini carries that same electricity. That same sense that you are somewhere that matters, that the kitchen takes it personally, that the room itself has ambition.
I dined solo and felt like a king.
This is not a restaurant for the timid or the indifferent. This is a room built for people who have tasted life at its most generous and still lean forward when the next glass arrives. Brothers and sisters, I have been around this world more than once. I know the real thing when it sits across from me.
Rimini is the real thing. Do not make the mistake I made. Walk through that door.“

“Tried this very special “takeout only omakase sushi box”, Edomae style ( use cured/aged fish, and red vinegar seasoning in rice). The executive chef, chef Ryo, has worked in many renowned restaurant including Michelin star sushi restaurant “Sushi Sho”. Before joining this new restaurant “Ltd Edition Sushi” in capitol hill, he worked side by side with chef Nakazawa-an icon of edomae style in Japan, at both Sushi Sho Tokyo and Sushi Sho Honolulu. The sushi omakase box and kids fish bowl are both very sophisticated, the curing and aging techniques brings out the deep complex flavor of each fish and gives each fish this extra tender texture, the taste profile as such is hard to find here in Seattle. Chef sake flight ( we tried Haneya Junmai Ginjo and Hidakami Junmai today), one is floral and one on the dry side, pair with his sushi very well. Sushi is in a very elegant wooden box and everything you will need for the experience including a separate soy sauce dipping dish is prepared for the guest. This is, truly, a perfect omakase takeout experience. 💕💕😋“

“I was in town for a special event, I haven't been here before and was amazed with every aspect of my experience. our server Charles was utterly fabulous. he was very knowledgeable, thoughtful and prompt. he made it feel like we were old friends. the steaks were perfectly cooked. I am 4 and 1/2 years sober, and to go out and enjoy an exquisite meal and only drink water can be a drag, but you all had an amazing selection of mocktails, my partners and I enjoyed immensely. I took the time to thank Charles for everything and got to meet Justin, letting him know how wonderful everything was. this will definitely be a regular stop anytime I visit.“

“This was a nice place. Probably wouldn't pick it myself, but met some friends here. The food menu was weirdly put together but I got the chowder in a bread bowl, my wife got a burger and fries. Burger and fries was ok nothing special really. My chowder was cold, and our friends chowder was as well, they sent them both back. The drinks were good. If I go back it would probably be just for drinks.“

“Dropped in for breakfast on a grey morning.
Friendly service and great food - we shared the breakfast burrito with avocado and bacon between two of us and it was plenty! The dipping sauce was great.
Coffee was excellent - really nice caramel roast.
I will say it felt very expensive - $38 for two coffees, one burrito with tip. Likely a one-off treat for this reason!“
