All the rolls I've had are great here. They also have a modest sized menu for teriyaki that's pretty good as well, great for if you have family members or friends who don't like sushi.

Portions are BIG. The price is fair especially considering the portion size. They have reasonably nice staff and pretty fast service. I would definitely recommend it.“

“When we arrived, we were told there would be a twenty-minute wait, and it was definitely worth it. The restaurant was clean, the service was efficient and friendly, and the food was phenomenal. Everything was fresh and presented with a unique touch.

We ordered the pork gyozas, Philly roll, Spider roll, and California roll.

“This is my second time coming here. I will definitely come back again. I got the shrimp fried rice and the salmon lover’s roll. I have to say this is one of the best fried rice I’ve in a long time. Staff is very attentive and the restaurant has a great atmosphere“

“The food here is absolutely amazing! I seriously did not know it was possible to sell such generous portions of fresh sushi at this price. My big back friend and I (also a big back) shared a family combo that was only $69 after tax that had 4 gigantic rolls and a boat-load of karaage. We weren't able to finish and had enough leftover for another meal. On top of all that, the service is super friendly and the atmosphere is nice and cozy. The staff were very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed, and more. I'm a self-certified sushi connoisseur and I can confidently say this is the best value sushi I've ever had by far. The salmon nigiri especially was super fresh and had blanket-sized slices of salmon. This is 100% a must-try restaurant.“

“We ate at Katana for my husband’s birthday dinner. It was a busy weeknight. We were greeted by a lovely hostess who immediately made us feel welcome. Our server, Kingsley, was absolutely phenomenal- definitely one of the top servers we have ever encountered anywhere! She was tending to multiple tables, bar customers, and also making drinks. She was easily one of the busiest employees there, yet she kept a big smile on her face and a kind, positive spirit throughout our entire service. The sushi was delicious, as always. Katana is consistently reliable to serve good food, but this time we had especially amazing service as well. I highly recommend katana for a family celebrating a special occasion!“

Quality: Best Sushi I have ever had in my life. Period! Kazuko has my highest recommendation! Me and 3 other friends went there for happy hour and we had the best time! SHOUT OUT to Jason who made the most delicious sushi on earth! The taste, freshness, texture of the sushi and sashimi are top-notch. My favroite is the toro and the melting sensation once placed in my mouth feels amazing! The spider rolls, nacho sushis, sashimi and sushi sets are all dazzling and tasted incredible! I can’t say enough good things about this place! It is hard to pick my favorite!

Appearance: A picture speaks a thousand words! They all look like masterpiece and art! It was such a satisfying experience just watching Jason putting the sushi together! I really appreciate him putting many efforts and time to serve the best sushi to us!

Portion size: We loved it! Everything is the perfect size and great portion!.

Friendliness: Service is solid! Jason is the best chef and he is awesome! We enjoyed spending time with the chefs and the servers! They are all very nice and friendly. They created a heart-warming, welcoming and nice atmosphere for us to have the best dining experience. I love talking to each of them and we are so grateful for their wonderful service!

Timeliness: Food came in no time! We went on a Monday night so not many people is in the restaurant, but I really appreciate them for providing the best service to us!

Environment: Very clean and nice, The lighting is perfect and I loved how everything looks, very simple yet modern. It really brings me to Japan and I loved it! Ver ycozy and warm atmosphere and the nice people make it feels like home!

Location: Great location with plenty of parkings outside, It is very easy to find the place! If you don’t have a car just like me, it maybe kind of hard to get there but I am sure with the lightrail opened up to Lynnwood, it will definitely make things easier!“

“This place has become my family's favorite teriyaki spot. I believe the lady that works there, she might be the owner? Either way, she is absolutely great. If I bring in a client or my son, she treats them great and always tries to make conversation and I love it. I hope this place stays open for a long time, one of my favorite spots that has great teriyaki, eggrolls and salad. Its hard to find a place that has ALL 3 (i am picky about my salad dressing and eggrolls LOL) Thank you so much for the good food. Ill see you guys later this week. ;)“

“Note: We attempted to talk with the managers/staff before posting this, but we were told the fish was supposed to be this way. I didn’t think to take photos because we assumed after talking with the staff the issue would be fixed so we brought them the leftovers. We have been eating sushi for several decades and have never had fish that smelled and or looked like this. Normally we eat here in restaurant, but this last week we ordered and picked up. The tuna handrolls looked like it had been in a meat grinder and tasted bitter. The sashimi special we normally order had all kinds of connective tissue and fat clumps we had to try to tear off the meat because we could not chew through it. Instead of being soft the hamachi (yellowtail tuna) was hard chewy. I eventually spit it out in to my napkin. We gave up when it came to the salmon portion because it didn’t smell right.“

Everything is delicious, and even our three year old even loves it! “Today was my first time in with a recommendation from a friend. I came by myself and had no idea how the operations of this restaurant work. I asked a couple employees and they were very willing to help me through the system. They seated me at a bar seating in front of the conveyor belt. And explain to me with the overhead screen that I could order drinks and menu items from and I could also just take the small plates off the conveyor belt in front of me. When you are finished with your sushi plates you slide them in the opening just in front of you. You are charged individually for each plate. The other dishes you might accumulate you just leave on your table and they come by to pick them up. If you need Wasabi or anything extra I just had to ask. The sushi was very fresh and clean and nicely presented and easily recognized from the markings on the dishes with the names. There was a huge selection to choose from. Even a couple sides and cheesecake for dessert. You have fresh ginger and soy at your seat. The guard over the conveyor belt is just at the right height so you don't have to look at everyone else and then not looking at you. Also Fu Robots that roam around the restaurant not quite sure their responsibilities but they were fun to watch. I also ordered Ramen which came on a separate larger conveyor belt above and out of the way of the sushi bar. Being in a strip mall parking lot there is an extreme amount of parking and is easily accessed across from the Alderwood mall. I will definitely be back with friends and family more often. The sushi was a good price. The ramen is in a very small bowl so don't expect it to be a meal, but it tastes great. Definitely seems like a place you can bring behaved children.“

“I had the aloha roll. It was light and delicious. The rice is cooked perfectly. The wasabi is so good, more flavorful than intensely spicy. The sashimi is excellent quality. The white fish (called super white tuna), had zero fishy taste. I'd never tried it. The dessert was excellent. The cheesecake was one if the best I've had. Super smooth, and very fluffy, which made it too easy to finish! I really enjoyed it and was very impressed at the quality. Woodenville is lucky to have such a good quality international cuisine to add to the more mainstream (but also delicious) selection of restaurants in the area.“

Son loves their katsu and California roll. Wanted to dine in when I heard they now have jjamppong. Glad I did, noodles were cooked perfectly, slightly al dente. Broth had a roasted/charred undertone and was not very spicy. Squid was a tad over cooked, still good just chewy. Thin slices of beef also went well with the noodles and savory broth.“

The courtesy of the staff does require a mention. Very friendly and checking with you on a timely basis.

Monkey brain - good
Gyoza - good
California roll - good
crispy firecracker roll - this was different, never seen one like this, definitely a must try
mango tango roll - was good too
katsu chicken bento - good
chicken karaage - nice and hot
If you ask if we would visit this place, the answer is a Yes. Ambience was good and didnt have difficulty finding a parking spot.“

“I almost didn’t come in because the exterior of the restaurant is not very inviting. But, since the place next door was closed, I took a chance and opened the door. It was a big surprise to find a perfectly appointed Japanese restaurant. The food was excellent - I had Sushi. “We reserved a table online for their Cowboy Brunch for 4. The music was so loud that we could not even have a conversation. Two of us received our food cold. The waitress brought out two new plates, again cold! Needless to say we didn't eat them. The deposit was suppose to come.off the bill ($100.00), but we all paid individually, with the waitress saying she would refund the original deposit. A week later still not refunded and no one will return the call. Absolutely terrible experience!“

“I was pleasantly surprised - extremely homey, tastes like home-cooked Japanese food! What an unassuming little spot!

My partner and I had the Oyakodonburi, Katsu Curry, salmon cucumber avocado roll, and a side of tempura.

The portions are big! The Oyakodonburi was the star of the show - usually I don't like oyakodon because it's very easy to do wrong; too slimy and too saucy, but theirs was just perfect!!

This is gonna be a top lunch spot for me for sure!“

“I’ve been coming here since I was in middle school. It was always our favorite teriyaki spot in Seattle because the family that first opened it was so friendly, and the food was always delicious.

I’ve seen it change ownership probably 3 times. The quality has gone up and down. Overall, it’s probably not as good as it used to be, but it’s still one of the better Seattle teriyaki shops.

Giving it a high rating in hopes that it remains in operation, and to hopefully motivate the owners to keep up the good work!“

“Stopped in at this teriyaki shop for a quick bite while I was having a tire repaired at the shop nearby. I ordered a chicken teriyaki with a side of gyoza. The food was excellent, the chicken was tender with nice looking char lines from the grill. The gyoza was just the way I like it with the outside crispy and the inside juicy. The restaurant had condiments on the table including teriyaki sauce which I always appreciate. Overall great experience!“
