“Omokase with Nakano-san is a truly special experience. Knowledgeable and personable, he serves a variety of tasty nigiri to delight your palate. Sit at the sushi bar for a memorable evening. When Nakano-san chooses, you try fish you might not have chosen yourself. A fun night for sushi lovers! If you can't get a seat at the bar, order a variety for the table. Staff are there to help you choose something special. Photos are from a March 2024 visit. Notice the variety of old standards and seasonal fish. Enjoy!“
“As a sushi lover, I was so happy about the quality of seafood of the three rolls I tried. I went out of my comfort zone and tried a dish called "chawanmushi" and it was so good! The staff were friendly and knowledgable and the restaurant had a warm vibe. I will return and bring others!“
“Visiting my brother and he took me to his favorite casual sushi place. I can see why it’s his favorite!!!!! The service was outstanding and the servers were very attentive. It was a comforting place to be. The sushi was fresh and scrom-SHUS.“
“Another reels recommendation. Cash and Venmo onlyWe live in issaquah so this place is quite the trek. My partner was particularly drawn in by the oversized roll with a variety of fish.Maybe I picked the wrong menu items, but overall not sure what the hype is about. The oversized roll is 30$+ so it’s not like it’s cheaper on a per serving basis. The fish was also so cold to the point where it hurt my teeth to eat (I do have sensitive teeth, but I’ve never had trouble with sushi before). Having so many different fish in a roll meant I couldn’t actually taste the individual flavors very well. I’m also not a fan of raw green onions paired with sushi. The other rolls also weren’t anything special. We got a scallop nigiri which was good tho.Overall probably won’t be driving an hour to come here again.“
“Food was fresh miso soup some of the best I've had and I usually don't care for it. We had two rolls, and it was a lot of food. I found it to be kind of pricey, but good quality food and a lot of it. the restaurant itself is a little dark and hard. It didn't feel like a sushi place but I gave it four stars because the food really was outstanding.“
“My family enjoys the Wasabi factory, the sushi has always tasted good, and my son demands we go here for it. Personally, I love the breaded chicken it's so crunchy and awesome. The staff has always been friendly and kind, especially to my kids.“
“Food was amazing. I had a sushi date with a couple friends and we came hungry, we ordered takoyaki, gyoza, 7 rolls, and some sake and it all was delicious.Service was really nice, place is clean, it is a bit small and seating is close together, it is what it is though.“
“Possibly the best meal of my life. We dined omakase and left full and very satisfied. The cook and server were very attentive and friendly, and clearly had fun along with the customers. The food was a wonderful blend of straightforward servings of high quality fish and some more adventurous and surprising dishes such as cod milt and a yuzu scallop. Truly one to remember and I can't recommend it highly enough.“
“This is our go to for teriyaki, only done takeout cuz it’s a easy dinner/lunch on a work day. Best bang for your buck with decent quality food. For $16 you get teriyaki/katsu with salad, 4 pieces of California roll and side of tempura plus miso soup! When pho prices are $12~18 nowadays, this place is GREAT value. The people who works there are always nice and work quickly.“
“One of our longtime favorite sushi restaurants, Sam's is always delicious. On our recent trip, we enjoyed nigiri, bento box, and udon soup--it was all outstanding. This restaurant is wheelchair accessible. Street parking is hit and miss (no parking lot unfortunately). Now that bento now comes with maguro (tuna) instead of hamashi, but the wait staff graciously provided hamachi (yellowtail) this time only. We'll be back!Kid-friendliness: family friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Door is wide enough, but needed help opening (old building). Ramp just inside was wide, easy to walk down. Regular tables, able to wheel up to one. Didn't use the rest room. No handicap parking but you may find street parking nearby. We found a place out front, there's an old ramp right here too (former loading dock?). Staff was pleasant and helpful.“
“Great place if you're looking for a local sushi bar. It's not going to win any international awards, but for a Lynnwood sushi restaurant, it is very good. The owners are always pleasant and helpful, as said in some other reviews, the decor isn't bad, it was just done by the owners and isn't fancy or high end. Perfect spot to go for lunch or dinner, always room, never packed or uncomfortable, great proverbial hole in the wall that serves good food, it's clean, and the people are nice.Edit: I am giving the food here 4 stars based on living in Okinawa and eating some of the best sushi in the world. For a US restaurant, the sushi here is top notch. Don't let the 4 start rating fool you onto thinking this isn't a great sushi spot.“
“High quality and tasty rolls! Had the Salmon Lemon, Shrip tempura, Spider rolls. Fresh ingredients and excellent portions. Also tried the spicy ramen which was delicious and very well presented in the bowl. Kids had the Katsu Don and gobbled it up. Servers were attentive and overall inviting. Will come again!“
“Good terriayaki, constantly the same everyday! I have eaten more terriayaki than most people, I know teriyaki, and I'm just starting to share my thoughts because I have some extra time in my life. One thing you can expect from this place is constantancy in their food. The teriyaki chicken is juicy, and not rubbery meaning they know how to grill it!. The spicy chicken is cooked with love by infusioning their spicy sauce by wok and adding fresh cut onions, just by taking the time to wok it tells you they are not lazy. The other things on their menu are decent and is above the standards in Seattle's terriayaki world.Serving size is decent, and you will have a little extra if you are the average person with a appetiteThe only issue I have is price. You decide for yourself......I ordered:1 spicy chicken1 terriayaki chicken1 order gyoza2 coke bottlesCost= $46.80“
“Katsu Burger in Ballard was the perfect thing to find on a beautiful Saturday afternoon! The moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with genuine smiles and warmth from the owners. They’re not just serving up burgers; they’re creating a welcoming community hub! We indulged in the Umami Wagyu Burger x 2 and a side of their Nori Fries, complete with the heavenly trio of dipping sauces – curry mayo, nori ranch, and wasabi mayo. Each bite was a taste sensation- flavor bomb MOMENT, prepared with obvious care and attention to detail. The owners’ kindness TRULY just shines through in every aspect of their establishment, making you feel like part of the family from the moment you arrive. If you’re searching for more than just a meal – a genuine experience filled with delicious food and heartfelt hospitality – then Katsu Burger is the place for you. Give them a visit and let them wrap you in their warm embrace with a side of curry mayo.“
“I was here with my fiance for the first time and we both have a good time! Not only the food was excellent, the service and ambience were also exceptional. Our chef is so funny and made this experience super memorable. You pick the meat and they cook in front of you kinda thing. All meals come with rice, noodles, and veggies. The price is about $30-60ish (depending on the meat selection), we think its a good deal because the of the high quality meat and great service. We would be def returning and take our friends here!“
“After the first bite, we said “never again are we trying another place.” Consistently the best sushi of my life, we keep trying to find a place closer to where we live, but the hour drive for this art is worth it and makes anything else feel ridiculous In comparison. Mango Kiwi and Seahawks are our current favorites, but really it’s all amazing. Fish is incredibly consistently fresh, and it is so clear the sushi chef has put his life into this.“
“I came in at the last 5 minutes because i didn’t notice the time. The staff were very accommodating and had my food ready in less than 5 mins. I got home and sat down to eat and let me tell you, this is the best teriyaki I’ve had in a long time! Well done!!“
“After many years of driving past this spot we decided to give it a shot. Great location, plenty of free parking, and decent food. We ordered two rolls I've never had before, 1) Golden Dragon and 2) Double Tuna Roll - both were delish. Our only complaint was the selection of music that was playing. Very very odd for an Asian restaurant.“
“The food was really good and you get large servings for leftovers and the customer service is excellent and the tables are always clean. I was a little cold, though, especially when people walk through the door. Everything else was amazing!“
“I freaking love this place! Fresh ingredients, well balanced combinations and the staff are all really friendly and laid back. This is my go to when we need a week end lunch. Hubs gets a sub down the way and I get a delicious sushi burrito. It satisfies without being heavy. Love.“
“Some of the best Teriyaki we’ve had in the Seattle area! Amazing orange chicken too. Very friendly and welcoming staff. We were happily surprised they came and let us know that the green tea and miso soup was included! Super clean and fast. Highly recommend this for lunch or dinner.“
“Busy area near the kitchen for the family of employee. Looks bad from entry but could be decluttered. Otherwise nice atmosphere.Vegetarian options: There were not any specific vegetarian offerings. I looked around a bit on menu. However this food is generally a good idea for Pescetarians. Vegetarians would look for soy here.Kid-friendliness: I saw a lot of kids toys and nursing equipment“
“Muto has a wide variety of Japanese food items, including sashimi, sushi, ramen, udon, curry, and even lunch specials.I got the lunch special #4 which comes with chicken katsu, 4 California rolls, and three pieces of nigiri. It also came with rice, salad with sesame dressing, and a little sweet egg omelette piece. My friend got the garlic ramen with pork and marinated soft egg. This is probably one of my favorite ramens on the menu. So yummy! We've been here twice, as it's a good spot to go to after spending some time at Olympus spa, just around the corner.“
“Rolls, not bowls. Rolls, not bowls. Say it with me. The rolls are great -- fresh and cheap, with decent rice. The (teriyaki) bowls are not. [the chirashi bowl is pretty good too but that is 1/2 roll, 1/2 bowl]Specifically, our chicken teriyaki bowls had no flavor (or sauce). My in-laws (who generally like bland foods) said they would try it again after putting coconut aminos on it.The ~15% 'tax' is dubious, but the value is still good. Our order was ready for us promptly when we arrived. I would definitely order a party platter in the future for family dinners!“
“Haven't been in here for a while since we moved out of town but came back and really enjoyed that I could go out for some Japanese food. This is really spectacularService was absolutely stellar. I had lots and lots of questions and I think all of the weight staff stopped by to answer my questions for me and I ended up getting the pokeball and I am really delighted with it. They explained to me they've got several different kind of sesame bowls and I like the pokey bowl. It has a really nice sauce to it and there were just tons of food in here just and very delightfully presented. I did ask for the lettuce instead of rice and they said it would be an upcharge of $2 which I didn't want to go for. But that would have been a nice addition if they would have been that the atmosphere was a lively there all lots of tables were full. There's a sports bar football game on right now. Music playing in the background. The chefs are busy at the sushi bar. The tea is really great. I definitely know this is one of the places I like to go to. So sorry my husband doesn't want to eat Japanese anymore. This is a real treatWe live up in Mount Baker now and it's 100 mi trip to get down to Everett but I was down here today and thankful to come out of my way a little bit to be able to eat here.Wheelchair accessibility: Accessibility spots are at the end of the walkways so you have to walk past a couple of storefronts to get here. Not too far.“
“So fresh and so yummy! I absolutely love their take on the humble inari sushi. Inari is a favorite little bite of mine, usually just a sweet and vinegary little rice stuffed tofu skin pocket, but Arigato puts a delightful little twist by turning it into a roll with some fresh avocado and cucumber inside. It's pretty exciting to try a different twist on a classic! Also great is their Negihama roll, with yellowtail and green onion - the green onion gives such a fresh brightness and flavor that really set it apart. Just discovered their deep fried avocado roll tonight, and the creamy and crunchy combination was a real explosion in my mouth. Definitely a repeat order! We love this little sushi spot in our neighborhood and it's our go-to for sushi night takeout.“
“Generous and nicely varied portions in the bento boxes. The salmon collar was fine. The karaage chicken was well cooked but too cold by the time we got it home. I'm sure it would have been great if we'd been able to have it at the restaurant. The matcha roll cake is listed as their most popular dessert -- it's easy to understand why. An outstanding balance of colors, textures and flavors. I hope to remember to get it every time!“
“A great place for sushi, they also have a full bar with some very interesting Japanese whiskeys which I love .The times I've been it hasn't been overly busy so it's nice to be able to walk in and sit down quickly. I also like the colorful lights they have behind the alcohol bottles on the bar which is in the center of the restaurant.“
“I wish I could give more stars. I just finished lunch with a good friend who has frequented Hanami for decades. The service is exceptionally warm and inviting, and the sushi is unbelievably tasty and beautifully presented. If you dine here, tell them you know Joe!“
“I got the number 1 Benton box. Let me tell you, it was soooo goood! Really phenomenal, everything tasted fresh and delicious. You don’t need fancy food, you just need good food. Totally worth the price, I will definitely be back. Also the chicken wasn’t drowning in teriyaki sauce, it was the perfect ratio of sauce to chicken, and it was cooked exactly right! This is my new favorite spot!“
“Delicious food. I was impressed by how big this place is. The menu is also huge. This felt like Mazatlan and Oaxaca partnered because of the seafood selection (that I'm planning on trying next time) and the Oaxacan traditional food. Tlayuda was very good, molotes were good, but it's hard to even find molotes in WA in the first place.Service was spot on. The lady who helped me was so sweet. The only thing that I didn't enjoy was the loud (laoouuuud) music. It was 11 a.m., and it felt like a bar environment and, well, not my vibe. Other than that, I love to find authentic places to eat ? give it a try!Parking: Free in front of the business“
“We went here for our anniversary and Richard (the head chef) was part of our omakase service. He was excellent - professional and kind, very knowledgable about the sushi he was serving us. It was a super busy night, but he never look flustered and got the job done for the whole restaurant and for us. Well deserved stars for this restaurant!“
“The food is so fresh and good! The monorail is very innovative and awesome and a robot brings you water! It was a little more expensive than where we usually go, but worth it! The food was fresher and the presentation was on point! Highly recommended!“
“Really good teriyaki. You gotta get the large though. It's so much more food, even if you eat it over two meals. The guy working there is always super nice and he's consistently got a clean a** cut too. Would definitely recommend if in the Maple Leaf area.“
“The food is amazing, and the service is also amazing, the guy at the counter is very nice, and this is the best teriyaki place I have ever been to. Me and my friends completely destroy every meal we get because it is so good. We eat it in like 5 seconds. I highly recommend going “
“This is the best sushi place I have been to, I wish it was closer to home! First of all the atmosphere is cozy and pleasant. So much nicer than the loud, cold, sterile modern vibe of a lot of other places. It was actually enjoyable to be inside. The staff were so friendly and welcoming too. BUT THE FOOD! First of all I love that the menu is simple and I don't have to go through 3 pages of ridiculous sushi rolls to try and decide what to eat. The menu is just the right size. Second, the items on the menu are quality food focused. Meaning youre going to get great fish and ingredients and not just cream cheese. Its nice to see rolls that dont have cream cheese in them. But most importantly the fish is so fresh and so good! The tuna nigiri melted in my mouth like butter and was so tasty and so fresh. There was none of that fishy flavor that comes with older fish. The rolls were perfectly balanced too. I have been thinking about it all weekend. Seriously 10/10 its a whole package. My only complaint is I have to drive an hour to get there lol“
“This place may be small, but that is FAR overshadowed by the quality of the food! The sushi is made fresh. Even the sushi rice is seasoned to perfection! Don’t skip over the Poke bowl, the Ahi melts in your mouth which only comes with quilty tuna. Service was exceptional and attentive. Such a great place!“
“There's a lot of customization available for a decent price. You get to pick almost unlimited fillings for your sushi burrito - and it can cause your item to bulge a little! Was able to get my fish fix with this burrito in its full-of-flavor, practically-falling-apart goodness. Nothing too extraordinary here, but if you're in the mood for some fresh fish in roll form for a not-too-shabby price, this might hit the spot.I had the takoyaki on a later visit. Pretty satisfactory, albeit it was 6 for $6.95 and each piece only had a small slice of octopus tentacle. But it satisfied my takoyaki craving well enough.Staff are friendly enough and will make your burrito/bowl practically lickety-split.“
“Pleasantly surprised with how good this place was! This was a last minute pick while out in Ballard. And happy we stumbled upon it.We got1: Spicy Sunburn Scallop Press Sushi 9/102: Unagi Temptation w/soy glaze 8.5/103: Spiced Girl 8/10We also got their warm sake, I liked it a lot!Ballard is a bit far for me, but if I’m out there again and hungry, I would definitely eat here again!“
“From the front of the house to the back, Sushi Tokyo stood out in an ocean of sushi spots. The rolls ranged from creative and unique to the traditional. All of them were delicious and fresh. The owner was delightful and watched my boyfriend and I played Sushi Go while dining. His excitement and joy was contagious, and it definitely set the tone for the entire night. 100% will be coming back soon together.“
“Really enjoyed the Krab Delight cooked sushi roll! I don't usually get cooked sushi but needed something a bit easier on the stomach. It was actually quite good. Crispy furikake. Food came out in like 8 mins and they even brought out a nice glass of water without me asking for it.“
“After a long and rough business meeting in Lynnwood yesterday, I really needed to be reenergized with good food. Found Kami near by and stepped in. More than food, I was greeted by very happy and motivated employees. Since I have never been at this restaurant before, I wanted to play safe. Ordered Kung Pao Chicken with fried rice. What a surprise. The food came out on a hot sizzling iron plate. Listening the sizzling sound already made the food tasty. Portion of the food was very generous and taste did not disappoint me. Sure enough, I was reenergized. When I revisit Lynnwood area, i might stop by again and try different menu.“
“We had a salmon roll and a spice tuna roll, and they were both amazing! Delicious fresh fish and wonderful service! We can't wait to come back and try the yakisoba.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp in the parking lot to the sidewalk in front of the restaurant“
“Revolving sushi belt that's a great price and gives good portions. There is a menu as well so you can order additional sushi that are not on the belt or ones that are empty. Variety of other food options as well.Always great service, friendly staff and great atmosphere. My only complaint on the belt options of spicy is a lot should be more non spicy options. And ones that have one spot give more of the sushi. Other then that highly recommend always fresh tasting and sauces made in house.“
“The grilling, freshness, juiciness, and teriyaki sauce of the chicken were excellent. It was nice that Korean-style chicken was made and sold separately from breast, tai, and wings, so you could taste different flavors. It seems like it was a godsend that there was rice cake in it.. hahaThe taste and service are top notch!A home that is sure to be visited again!“
