“This is a hidden little Mexican place in Mount Vernon. We got there close to closing time, so nobody else was there. However, the staff welcomed us with no problem and were very engaging and friendly. The restaurant is cheerfully decorated and clean. The food tasted good, but I do wish that it had been served. Warmer. Prices were absolutely reasonable for our meals.“

“Here in Skagit County we have many excellent options for authentic Mexican truck meals. Located on an arterial in a residential area. The truck is rarely here, but when it is, you absolutely should stop in for their handmade tortillas and stewed sauces.
The barbacoa taco plate is a truly unforgettable meal. I was too busy indulging my senses to take a photo.
Friendly people, with Pepper plants and herbs growing beside the sidewalk and picnic table for atmosphere. Indoor dining hut for cold weather.

Parking: Limited parking onsite up the driveway. Once you get in, getting out is hard.
Street Parking around the corner is easier.

Wheelchair accessibility: The driveway to the taco truck and (one side of) the picnic table is a little steep and bumpy for wheelchair accessibility, but no stairs. There is no rail beside the driveway ramp.

This blows it out of the water in the valley. Wow 😱 first the hospitality was amazing 🙂 super inviting even gave us some free corn bread for being first time customers. I got the cowboy beans and they are to die for 🤤 such a great flavor of beans. The pulled pork sandwich was presented perfect I loved that they don't build your sandwhich for you so your bun doesn't get soggy on the way home. The pulled pork was moist and the sauce was full with flavor. Thank you again for the hospitality and the delicious food i definitely recommend this bbq place in the valley!“

“Ordered dinner on DoorDash from Gentleman Gene’s, and it was terrific.
Ordered the steak, with a side, and cup of soup.
I was very happy with the clam chowder, it was flavorful and had lots of clams.
The steak was ordered medium/rare, and it came perfectly cooked. The baked potato was still hot and came with all the fixings.
I will definitely be visiting them in the future.“

“I have been here a number of times, food is usually very good but a little on the spendy side. Service is usually good. I've had a couple of experiences with servers that were rude.

Kid-friendliness: Not really designed for kids.“

“It was solid! Service was nice, food was out quick ( we got two entrees, it we left roughly 10 minutes after we ordered), and it was pretty tasty! I got the shrimp and pork combo meal, and it was a lot of food for how much I paid. The only gripe I've got is that the shrimp was a little bland and a little overcooked. Other than that, the rest of the meal was very yummy! Would definitely recommend!“

“The pizza is good. To date, for my household, it's the best tasting pizza available from a chain in the area. I would even venture to say it's the best pizza option in the valley. For the price, which is affordable by today's standards, you can't beat the quality or portion amount. I've only used their carry out option so far which includes a drive through option, yes a drive through option, but it appears to still have the elements of its original Round Table Pizza roots still around within the restaurant itself. Meaning a salad bar available and arcade games in the corner. The crust is good, the ingredients are good, and the price is fair. If you're in Mount Vernon don't sleep on this place as your pizza provider for your family on a Friday night.“

“I went here for years, know the owners, this time around, I asked for hot spicy beef yakasobi. I got alot of pepper flakes sprinkled in it, has no flavor to the beef, the owner can cook better than this. The food is very dry. I called the place, they made it right thanks but its still too spicy.“

“I've always thought they had great Mexican food here. I especially love the quesadillas as they put lots of cheese on them and onions on the side. I will give a warning about their sauces to anyone who hasn't eaten here before, as they can be a bit spicy.“

“For the those on a keto or carnivore life style, a go to spot. Ordered their 6oz steak and eggs. Hold the toast and hash browns with a side of bacon and a sausage patty. Went smooth with the garlic tabasco sauce and unsweetened iced tea. Great service! Everything you could want in a cafe.“
