Environment is top-tier, you can immediately respect the owner’s effort in decor from all different walks of life and eras of time. It’s wonderful.
The menu was classic, simple & has a kids menu for smaller eaters. THE PRICES ARE WORTH IT. Four years of economic b.s. and peoples food prices going up but the quality didn’t; that does not apply here. The food is portioned properly and priced perfect. I can’t stress enough how much I loved the price. It’s important!!

But what makes this place so special is the ambience under the old-growth trees, just steps from pristine Deep Lake. “Great place to hang out and jam to some karaoke. This is a cash only spot, but the drinks are cheap and strong. The back room is open before 9pm, and after 9pm, when karaoke starts, the rest of the bar is open. I haven't had any of the food yet so I really can't comment on that.“

“First time there and was greeted right away. It wasn't busy for a Monday. They do not serve food, but they do allow you to bring food in from other places. Nice little place, they have a beer garden also for nice days. Huge list of beer and ciders. Prices are reasonable. I didn't get a picture of the menu. Every Wednesday is knit and sip. You can meet other people who like to knit and drink and be social.“

“We stumbled upon this place walking around looking for something for lunch. Honestly my expectations were low we just wanted a cheap lunch with everything in the area being so pricey. “where should I begin..at first the service was great then we stepped outside and our food which we were not done with was gone then brought back all stacked which the original server stated he make it right but nothing was done to make the situation right shows how much they care about their customers..hummmm..service after that was terrible..also noticed alot of favoritism on regular customers..won't be back any time soon.“

“We checked this place out for the first time on Halloween, the prices are reasonable. Kitchen was closed by the time we wanted food so we’ll try it next time. Plenty of options for songs. Karaoke was a blast and the vibe was absolutely there compared to some other karaoke places in the area. Bartender was so sweet as well as the karaoke host. We’ll be returning!“

“Best "Hole in the Wall" or "Hidden" bar in Olympia. Always had great Bartenders, upkept pool table, jukebox, punchboard (with phenomenal prizes), and a good variety of pull tabs. Def the place to go if u want to avoid large crowds or the whole Downtown Scene.“

“I haven't been here in several years now so this isn't going to be a recent up-to-date review...I had been going here for about 10 plus years, lots of bands and lots of rough necks that I would hangout with. The walking back in time aspect is what has always been the best part of this place, looking at the art, posters, album covers and photos that are all over the walls is awesome!! Only way to understand is to go and look at everything inside McCoy's yourself, the description of it all is only going to be from my personal viewpoint perspective and I'm not you!! Keep in mind however that there had been evergreen college students showing up now and then, most of those idiots are only there to exercise their whiteness and their dillusional self superiority complex over the lesser masses.... HA! The only superior anything they got is their lack of reality and false hope given to them growing up (only in age, otherwise their maturity factor is very low grade and still at the whole ' you are rubber and I am glue' stage of childish reprise.). Other than that, this used to be one of my favorite places to hang with friends. The owner is a great guy especially, and he is a tough man, he has endured many hardships over the years that I have observed and still has been able to show his worth by overcoming each hardship thrown at him!!“

“This tavern is a gem. The food is cooked with care and you can tell when you get it. The brussel sprouts are a huge hit at any time. I tried a "special" called the CodFather yesterday with a hand battered piece of cod, topped with fresh sliced pastrami and some cheese on a slathering of coleslaw on a bun. It absolutely works!“

The place has a really funky and fun vibe, it's family-owned, the service was excellent, they have a very extensive menu, and a completely separate one for vegans and vegetarians!
