“Been here around 5 times now. Their food is generously portioned and absolutely delicious every single time. Not once has been a miss. Probably some of the best fish and chips around, too. Last time I was here I got the fried chicken sandwich and it was fantastic. The service is also great, polite, and fast. I don't think it's ever taken more than 15 minutes to get my food. Their prices are, imo, better than a lot of places. Especially since their portions are enough it's easy to take half of it home. Love it.“

“Found this little gem on a Thursday run with my running group. Stopped in afterwards and had the pear, arugula, goat cheese, and hot honey pizza. Wonderful pizza with all ingredients well balanced, albeit a bit messy. 😉 Was told by the bartender afterwards that next time I could add meat ingredients too. So if you want to guild the lily just ask.

The atmosphere was perfect for an intimate couple with soft lighting, quiet music, and dark colors. This would be a perfect cozy date spot (21+ only, so kid free zone). Plus, afterwards, there is gelato next door.“

“Stopped by after a long adventure paddle boarding - so glad we did! We got the hand cut fries that were so crispy and seasoned to perfection, as well as the katsu quesadilla. The portions are tremendous! I don’t know what’s in that secret sauce but I highly suspect it’s crack. The staff was helpful in making suggestions, letting us try some beer to see what we liked, and so fun to talk to. Can’t wait to go back!“

“Finally gave this place a try. Glad we did. We’ve spent a lot of time in Scotland where they do Haddock and chips very well. So I was much amazed to see Haddock and Chips on their menu. Not Cod or wildly expensive Halibut, but Haddock. And it was excellent. Beautifully done, chips were perfect and tartar sauce was great. Nice space and friendly atmosphere. We will definitely be returning soon.“

“We've seen this wine shop on our visits to Tacoma but never really had a reason to stop in since our focus when we're in town is family and other events. However this weekend we were unexpectedly invited to a friend's house so we stopped by to pick up bottle of wine. What we found was a lively neighborhood wine bar and bottle shop. There were about 6+ people in the shop having a glass of wine, visiting and relaxing. The shop had a nice representation of wine from many different regions. We're partial to Italian and Spanish wines and were pleasantly surprised to see a nice selection of Brunellos, Rosso de Montelcino, Borrolo and Whites including Vermentino. The proprietors were knowledgeable and helpful. If we lived closer I could see ourselves dropping in occasionally to relax with a glass of wine or popping in for one of their tasting.“

Times are tough and this is one of the few places we can enjoy a great meal without breaking the bank. Nothing beats an ice cold Heidelberg and a Parky’s pizza.“

“They have a small selection of food. The food was pretty good but you're not coming here for that. The stars are the atmosphere and the drinks. It is dark with lots of flickering lantern light. Everything is wood and there are all kinds of pirate kitsch everywhere but it works. It feels like you're an extra in Pirates of the Caribbean. They have a few beers and wines, but come prepared to drink some rum! The drink list is extensive with punches, groggs, classic rum drinks, and many new inventions. They are rated from 2-5 skulls. Do not drink a 5 skull drink and expect to escape unscathed. You definitely need a DD or an Uber after one of those! It will put hair on your chest, as my dad used to say. Strong but delicious. We tried each other's drinks and everything was good. Definitely a fun spot for a night out!“

“Our server, Tyanna ( embarrassed to say we didn’t look for the spelling of her name) was absolutely a joy. She was pleasant, respectful, courteous, professional and all around great server. Wide selection of cigars ranging from your mid tier Perdomos all the way to high tier Opus X & Arturo Fuentes... PLUS a lounge area with comfortable couches to smoke at. You can enjoy your stogies at the connected Bird Bar! The Bird Bar has a good selection of beer, liquor and the food exceeded my expectations. Stellar combinations in my opinion. “Good variety, but kind of expensive, as most pay as you pour places are. The only downside is the noise in the place. It was very slow and the noise was sometimes tricky. Can't imagine it on a busy night. Also, the AC was on and a couple people in our party were very uncomfortable as it was early March in the evening (cold).“

Tuesday night $2.50 tacos, $3 PBRs, and a true, unfiltered Tacoma vibe.

Jack behind the bar was outstanding. Professional, dialed-in, and handled everything like a high-end vet while keeping it completely approachable. One solid genuine bartender.

I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was hands down the best breakfast burrito I have ever had, normally places have way too much eggs in them but not here! Perfect! Great coffee too. “We had a date night here and were absolutely impressed. The Beecher’s grilled cheese and butternut squash soup was a stand out. Both of our pasta entrees were phenomenal as well. The star of the show, though, was our dessert, which was a deconstructed PB&J. I don’t think I’ve ever had something that had such a wide variety of complementary textures. It was amazing and flavorful.“
