“We happened upon this little gem purely by accident because we needed to use the restroom on our way from Roy to Tacoma. I always feel bad asking to use the restroom at a business establishment without buying something, so I checked out the menu and, when I saw they had a sandwich called Ellie's Garden, I knew I had to order it in honor of my youngest granddaughter, Eleanore. The sandwich was phenomenal! I shared it with my daughter and we found ourselves wishing we each had a whole sandwich. We definitely will be returning to sample more of the goodies Blue Steele has to offer!“

My friend and I got boba from the place next to HMART. Couldn’t even drink it cause it tasted so blehhh…So we went here and got 4 different flavors. My friend got Taro, I got strawberry matcha, strawberry tea and the roasted matcha drink. I can’t describe how delicious they are over these boring words. I will definitely keep coming back!!!“

Service with polite 3 ladies there. About 6-7 tables and fireplace setting. If you want a nice place to talk with someone too treat them to your secret place: Sofi’s Corner! There’s some tightness to the driveway around the south side of the coffee shop which is always annoying but other than that it’s a better stop than Starbucks!“

“We have lived in several places and have tried lots of places here and elsewhere that sold banh mi sandwiches but these are the best banh mi sandwiches we have had! We think they might make their own buns because they are so very tasty and just as good as the fresh baguettes we had when we lived in France! The sandwich ingredients are fresh and flavorful and we especially love the wonderful paté they include on them, unless you tell them you are vegetarian or vegan. They make the paté themselves and it is also as delicious as any we used to have in France! We like their rice bowls too. If you haven’t been to the “Toast Mi”…located in Lacey…we highly recommend seeking it out and giving it a try. If you like banh mi sandwiches, you will be happy that you did!“

“We had their sausage egg sandwich on brioche buns. They were super hot and tasty. The coffee drinks used great chocolate in the mocha and a creme brûlée latte with their caramel whipped cream! We were at their newest location on Ruston and the barista was hustling to keep up with the business.“

“The chips were on the thinner side which I like. I was nearly falling asleep at any moment after a long day, and the chips alone seemed to be just the fuel that I needed to make me feel much better! The salsa was also nice. I liked the consistency that was the right combination between smooth and chunky. I also thought it was a good amount of spiciness, and I didn't even ask if they had a spicier option like I do a lot of the time.“

“Just had breakfast from Simply Panini and everything was great *except* why would you use died green filler sauce and call it pesto? Pesto is olive oil, basil, garlic, and a nut element that could be skipped… so simple and delicious! It could even be mixed with mayo in the right proportions and be good. This sauce was an immediate red flag when I opened the container and it barely tastes like anything. The early bird breakfast sandwich would be so much better with a sauce made from real food.“

“I really enjoyed the food here! It was all delicious. The gumbo, their deluxe sandwich and an espresso cost just over $50 before tip, which feels pretty steep.

It took us about 10 minutes to get to order our food, and another 40 minutes for it to come out. Once it came out, the food was noticeably fresh and warm, which made it worth the wait for me! I loved the Mochanut Crunch Espresso as well. I got a side salad instead of chips with my sandwich, and it was very memorable. I appreciate when dining facilities make an effort to do more for a side salad than lettuce. I was pleased that there was an assortment of vegetables upon a bed of spinach.

Overall I will be returning for a relaxing weekend lunch, when I'm not in a rush to go somewhere afterwards.“

The crew is always nice and willing to customize your drink and food however you need. If you've never been inside, I highly recommend giving their space a chance. The theme is Mary Poppins, (if the name doesn't already give it away) so even if you don't opt for dine-in, you have plenty of knick knacks and treasures to look at while you wait for your guilty pleasure. “My husband and I have been eating at Nordstrom's Cafe for years. The food is always great and service is usually good. We feel the quality of the food and the clean, updated interior warrants the higher food prices. However, after shopping the Anniversary sale my husband and I went to lunch at Nordstrom's and we both were disappointed that the Cafe is now using paper napkins and not cloth napkins. I know it's not a big deal to some but it feels like another Nordstrom's downgrade. Just like losing the piano player and the customer service center/gift wrap. Remember those beautiful silver boxes with the bows? Or how every clerk walked around the counter to hand you your Nordstrom bag. Those days are gone....we find ourselves shopping there less.....“
