The star of the show, though, was our dessert, which was a deconstructed PB&J. I don’t think I’ve ever had something that had such a wide variety of complementary textures. “We have lived in several places and have tried lots of places here and elsewhere that sold banh mi sandwiches but these are the best banh mi sandwiches we have had! We think they might make their own buns because they are so very tasty and just as good as the fresh baguettes we had when we lived in France! The sandwich ingredients are fresh and flavorful and we especially love the wonderful paté they include on them, unless you tell them you are vegetarian or vegan. They make the paté themselves and it is also as delicious as any we used to have in France! We like their rice bowls too. If you haven’t been to the “Toast Mi”…located in Lacey…we highly recommend seeking it out and giving it a try. If you like banh mi sandwiches, you will be happy that you did!“

“We visited Three Hearts for lunch during our recent trip to Washington. I got the steak sandwich on gluten free bread with french fries and my husband got the chicken sandwich with fries as well as a mocha. I loved how thinly cut the steak was on the sandwich and the flavor combo was delicious. My husband liked the flavors on the chicken sandwich but thought the bread was too thick. The mocha was delicious. The food seemed really clean as I felt great after. The person who took our order was not that friendly, but everyone else we talked to who worked there was kind and helpful.“

“Came across Pollard while Googling local, small coffee roasters, and I'm so happy I did! Definitely one of our favorite coffees, been getting Pollard for a while now and it has never disappointed 😄 We always get compliments back when we gift Pollard coffee and their customer service is awesome! “Visiting from out of town and I was introduced to white coffee. It was smooth, smoky and had a very nutty flavor. I asked and was given the name of the coffee brand so I could order it upon my return home. The blueberry cream cheese muffin was fresh and flavorful.“

“First order: I was really excited. The portions felt on par with what I would expect for the cost, and most importantly, the meals seemed fresh. The flavors were really good and packaged well. As someone who hates leftovers, I really enjoyed my first order. I would have given 4/5 stars.

My second order this week, not so much. (Maybe I ordered the wrong things this week). The breakfast portions were small (I was still hungry afterward), and the quality didn’t feel the same as the week before. The scrambled eggs with asparagus turned the eggs slimy and brown—not the most appealing. Dinners during the second week were decent but included fillers, like what appeared to be canned green beans. More roasted broccoli would have felt better, in my opinion.

So it depends on the week, I guess. I already ordered for next week, so we’ll see. I’ll update my review if the quality improves. I would order again for convenience (I’m currently postpartum, so having premade meals is super helpful!), but for this price point, I would expect the quality to stay consistent or improve.“

“I attended an event the Tacoma Chapter NAACP held at the Jazzy's cafe in Tacoma. This was my first time at this establishment. The event was well attended by NAACP members from Alaska, Oregon and Washington. DJ TV Lee a well known DJ from Washington provided music. The establishment is small but everyone had a good time. This is a nice place to have lunch maybe dinner and drinks. Recommend people check it out. Employees very professional as well as the owner.“

“Spotted this place on our way through Tacoma and so glad we stopped! Got the taro strawberry with oat milk — creamy, layered, and beautifully balanced between the nutty taro and fruity strawberry. Also tried the mango lychee, which was refreshing and perfectly sweet without being sugary. Both drinks were gorgeous to look at and even better to drink. Cute aesthetic inside too, with a “there’s no place like Jodo” neon sign that’s perfect for pics. Hands down some of the best boba we’ve had — highly recommend!“

“My husband and I have been eating at Nordstrom's Cafe for years. The food is always great and service is usually good. We feel the quality of the food and the clean, updated interior warrants the higher food prices. However, after shopping the Anniversary sale my husband and I went to lunch at Nordstrom's and we both were disappointed that the Cafe is now using paper napkins and not cloth napkins. I know it's not a big deal to some but it feels like another Nordstrom's downgrade. Just like losing the piano player and the customer service center/gift wrap. Remember those beautiful silver boxes with the bows? Or how every clerk walked around the counter to hand you your Nordstrom bag. Those days are gone....we find ourselves shopping there less.....“
