The star of the show, though, was our dessert, which was a deconstructed PB&J. I don’t think I’ve ever had something that had such a wide variety of complementary textures. “Normally I have a good experience here. Lately, they have been hiring people who do not want to work. When placing an order, unnamed female employee, seemed bored, did not speak clearly nor make eye contact. I Felt like I was an inconvenience to her. If the manager wants to reach out I can give you employee name. I get enough attitude from the wife and screaming kids. I come here to get away and enjoy a bit of peace without being judged for being disabled vet.“

“We have lived in several places and have tried lots of places here and elsewhere that sold banh mi sandwiches but these are the best banh mi sandwiches we have had! We think they might make their own buns because they are so very tasty and just as good as the fresh baguettes we had when we lived in France! The sandwich ingredients are fresh and flavorful and we especially love the wonderful paté they include on them, unless you tell them you are vegetarian or vegan. They make the paté themselves and it is also as delicious as any we used to have in France! We like their rice bowls too. If you haven’t been to the “Toast Mi”…located in Lacey…we highly recommend seeking it out and giving it a try. If you like banh mi sandwiches, you will be happy that you did!“

“First order: I was really excited. The portions felt on par with what I would expect for the cost, and most importantly, the meals seemed fresh. The flavors were really good and packaged well. As someone who hates leftovers, I really enjoyed my first order. I would have given 4/5 stars.

My second order this week, not so much. (Maybe I ordered the wrong things this week). The breakfast portions were small (I was still hungry afterward), and the quality didn’t feel the same as the week before. The scrambled eggs with asparagus turned the eggs slimy and brown—not the most appealing. Dinners during the second week were decent but included fillers, like what appeared to be canned green beans. More roasted broccoli would have felt better, in my opinion.

So it depends on the week, I guess. I already ordered for next week, so we’ll see. I’ll update my review if the quality improves. I would order again for convenience (I’m currently postpartum, so having premade meals is super helpful!), but for this price point, I would expect the quality to stay consistent or improve.“

“This is a perfect spot for a relaxing afternoon. The indoor space is spacious and inviting and the outdoor area is really well put together. I love the view of the fountain and being able to watch the golfers. The service has always been great every time I’ve gone. The baristas are attentive and friendly. I’ll be back!“

“One of the most filling breakfasts I've had since going to the south. Great portion sizes and every meal has a wonderful consistent flavor profile. “My kids and I were craving for boba. Our favorite boba place closed months ago so I googled this one and said why not this place. I was not disappointed. My son loves mango slushie and not really into boba. He rated it as 8/10 because it DID NOT taste watery. My daughter had the taro boba and was very happy with the amount of boba in the drink. They have a good portion/ratio and that makes it worth the price. I tried the strawberry taro but not really a fan. I will definitely coming back to try other flavors.“

“My typical order is the grilled cheese with tomato soup. The grilled cheese reminds me of the classic grilled cheese from my childhood, and the American cheese they use tastes very similar to Kraft. The workers are always so friendly and recognize their regulars, which makes the experience even better. Love them!“

“I attended an event the Tacoma Chapter NAACP held at the Jazzy's cafe in Tacoma. This was my first time at this establishment. The event was well attended by NAACP members from Alaska, Oregon and Washington. DJ TV Lee a well known DJ from Washington provided music. The establishment is small but everyone had a good time. This is a nice place to have lunch maybe dinner and drinks. Recommend people check it out. Employees very professional as well as the owner.“

“My husband and I have been eating at Nordstrom's Cafe for years. The food is always great and service is usually good. We feel the quality of the food and the clean, updated interior warrants the higher food prices. However, after shopping the Anniversary sale my husband and I went to lunch at Nordstrom's and we both were disappointed that the Cafe is now using paper napkins and not cloth napkins. I know it's not a big deal to some but it feels like another Nordstrom's downgrade. Just like losing the piano player and the customer service center/gift wrap. Remember those beautiful silver boxes with the bows? Or how every clerk walked around the counter to hand you your Nordstrom bag. Those days are gone....we find ourselves shopping there less.....“
