So I have been all over Washington always looking for the best sugar cookie and I FINALLY found it! some places have good cookies and some have good frosting but no one else has both. My friend and I got boba from the place next to HMART. Couldn’t even drink it cause it tasted so blehhh…So we went here and got 4 different flavors. My friend got Taro, I got strawberry matcha, strawberry tea and the roasted matcha drink. I can’t describe how delicious they are over these boring words. I will definitely keep coming back!!!“

“Cute vibes and lots of seating. Working in the neighborhood and stopped here to get a break from the heat. Drinks are priced really really well and absolutely delicious! Staff are also kind and welcoming.

“By mischance our coffee was spilt, a small calamity of our own making. Yet Rachel and Cassidy bore it with uncommon grace and good cheer, offering help without delay and treating us with true kindness. Such courtesy is a rare thing and speaks well of the stand they keep.
The coffee itself was most excellent! well made, warm, and pleasing to the taste. But it was their patience and goodwill that marked this place above others. Where frustration might have met us, we found instead generosity and smiles.

“A humble sized cafe with a lot of nice options - sandwiches, coffee and/or soup. All a bit tempting if not that I am watching the weightloss of my wallet.
What really doesnt help with the wallet's weightloss is the beautiful artful decoration and environment.
The staff bring out orders to the table even when they are super busy.

“Spotted this place on our way through Tacoma and so glad we stopped! Got the taro strawberry with oat milk — creamy, layered, and beautifully balanced between the nutty taro and fruity strawberry. Also tried the mango lychee, which was refreshing and perfectly sweet without being sugary. Both drinks were gorgeous to look at and even better to drink. Cute aesthetic inside too, with a “there’s no place like Jodo” neon sign that’s perfect for pics. Hands down some of the best boba we’ve had — highly recommend!“

“I attended an event the Tacoma Chapter NAACP held at the Jazzy's cafe in Tacoma. This was my first time at this establishment. The event was well attended by NAACP members from Alaska, Oregon and Washington. DJ TV Lee a well known DJ from Washington provided music. The establishment is small but everyone had a good time. This is a nice place to have lunch maybe dinner and drinks. Recommend people check it out. Employees very professional as well as the owner.“

“We happened upon this little gem purely by accident because we needed to use the restroom on our way from Roy to Tacoma. I always feel bad asking to use the restroom at a business establishment without buying something, so I checked out the menu and, when I saw they had a sandwich called Ellie's Garden, I knew I had to order it in honor of my youngest granddaughter, Eleanore. The sandwich was phenomenal! I shared it with my daughter and we found ourselves wishing we each had a whole sandwich. We definitely will be returning to sample more of the goodies Blue Steele has to offer!“

Serves mostly older clients which makes for a quiet and peaceful atmosphere making it perfect for both relaxing solo dining and casual weekend lunch with friends. Their food looks and tastes homemade. I'm picky abt my fried eggs and they make them perfect. Cinnamon rolls are perfection. We like the atmosphere but to each their own. There's no loud music just the pleasant sound of people visiting. Sometimes the temp is a bit cool. We don't expect perfection especially since this is not a small business friendlybstate cc and sense covid help has been hard to get. No one is perfect and they take care of any problems right away. “My husband and I have been eating at Nordstrom's Cafe for years. The food is always great and service is usually good. We feel the quality of the food and the clean, updated interior warrants the higher food prices. However, after shopping the Anniversary sale my husband and I went to lunch at Nordstrom's and we both were disappointed that the Cafe is now using paper napkins and not cloth napkins. I know it's not a big deal to some but it feels like another Nordstrom's downgrade. Just like losing the piano player and the customer service center/gift wrap. Remember those beautiful silver boxes with the bows? Or how every clerk walked around the counter to hand you your Nordstrom bag. Those days are gone....we find ourselves shopping there less.....“

However the service was definitely questionable?.. it felt slow and sometimes you'd ask for something and they'd make you feel like dumb for asking I don't know. overall service is a bit slow and unprofessional but the food is delicious and I'll definitely be coming back regardless!
