“Sushi Kato is hands-down one of our favorite spots in town! Every time we visit, the food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. We’ve tried a variety of items on the menu, and everything has been delicious—but our go-to favorites are the Ridgefield Special and the Crispy Tempura Shrimp rolls. Both are absolute perfection! The Sumo Kick sushi burrito is another standout—packed with flavor and the perfect mix of textures. The service is always friendly. Sushi Kato never disappoints—we’re so glad to have such an amazing sushi spot right here in Ridgefield! 🍣✨“

“New sushi restaurant with conveyor belt in Salmon Creek area (next door to The Barbers). Good quality, fresh sashimi. We tried several rolls and sashimi and enjoyed everything. We will def be back again.“

“First and foremost, the fish here is some of the best I've had anywhere in the Portland - Vancouver area. Very fresh and delicious sushi. It is no longer a conveyor belt operation, however, and pricing is not budget. The atmosphere and decor are rather bare bones. Still, the food is delicious.“

“Very nice place, the music is always relaxing after a hard day at work.
Food protions are BIG! I you get full so quickly and they pricing is good.
They put out multiple of the same sushi out to make sure theirs enough to go around.
Customer service is great, they always ask if you need anything even though there is a language barrier.
Would highly recommend for couples and those who are sushi lovers as much as I do ^w^“

“Most of the bad reviews are probably a result of the staff being stretched thin during the dinner rush or the language barrier caused by the fact that the staff are ESL. The food is well-prepared and well-stocked. My favorite is probably a combination of green beans, calamari, and fried shrimp. The noodles and rice are nicely prepared and filling. If you are on a budget, the lunch discount is the way to go.“
