“This is a review from 20 years ago when me and my dad were at Ft. Lewis. This Chicken Bowl spot was the absolute best I ever had and the Korean grandma was an absolute sweetheart tried to teach me a little bit Korean as well.

The most memorable part of this place was the Teriyaki sauce. It was sweet, but not teeth aching, it was savory with hoisin, umami fermented flavor, and it wasn’t so bold and rich that overwhelmed the grilled chicken and rice combo.

It is a core memory for me and will never forget the taste of it until I die. My only regret is not buying a gallon of the stuff from them as a kid lol!!“

“We had chicharones w/yuca fries & papusas. The food was excellent! It came out fresh and hot. The chicharones were tender on the inside and crunchy on the outside, just way it should be. We've had alot of papusas over the years, and these are the best & most stuffed I ever had. (Chicharones con queso) We will be back.“

“This is instantly my favorite breakfast place. Had chicken fried steak, hashbrowns, over medium eggs and biscuit. The gravy was so rich! The eggs were perfect (and I am very picky about my eggs). Potatoes are seasoned and delicious, coffee is perfect! Not too weak and not overly bitter. The staff was friendly and very attentive. I will absolutely come back!! Only complaint, the tables in the booths are a wee small.“

“To rate any less would be unacceptable. The food, the people, the atmosphere. To figure out where to start is very difficult. Upon entering this establishment I was immediately met by a positive host exuding happy vibes. The wait for my food was not long. In most cases my first concern would have been the quality. This concern was met by beautiful dishes of well placed food cooked at the right temperatures and without the heavy flare and over sauced noodles I have come to expect from most of these establishments. The host was not hovering but kept kind anytime interactions sparked. He left me in peace to enjoy my meal. To say that this restaurant is anything short of a experience would be greatly wronged. If a higher rating were possible I would happily give it.
But for now I give you this. If you wish to enjoy beautifully cooked food, lovely rolled sushi and hot sake heated to perfect temperature. Please come here and enjoy it for your self. Share a smile with the host and enjoy a experience. I will surely be coming back very soon to see what all this establishment has to offer.

“We went to El Toro for the first time last night and really enjoyed our dinners. I had the chicken fajita quesadilla with rice and beans and my hubby had the beef enchiladas. Both were very tasty. Their prices are fairly reasonable and they have great value lunch specials. Give them a try!!“

“Red Lantern is one of the best local restaurants in Yelm. We have tried many of their different menu items and have never been disappointed. They really understand how to flavor food. The Red Lantern chicken is my favorite for certain. When I crave peanut sauce, I'm always thinking of that dish. Definitely worth every penny!“

“This is the first time I came here. Got the General Taos Chicken with Vegetable Fried Rice, Chicken Lo Mein and an order of Crab Rangoons. The food was great, the only problem I saw was how much chicken was in the Chicken Lo Mein dish. There were maybe 8 pieces of chicken in it. But the portion sizes were good for the price and the lady who served us was friendly and the order was ready when I arrived. Overall not a bad experience here.“

“A small family owned business owned by a very nice Korean family. I would describe this as pan-Asian cuisine. The Korean food is top notch as expected since the owners are Korean! “DO NOT RECOMMEND It's what I pushed and then all the sudden it said I recommend it no I don't I went in today to go get my Beef Teriyaki with fried rice I paid extra for the rice. I ended up not getting a sauce for my fried rice so I asked for one. I showed the girl that I didn't get one and she was rude to me in front of all the customers saying that it doesn't come with 1. Trying to charge me $1 so I'm confused that not only did I just pay 12.49 plus 1.99 for some rice and you want to charge me for a sauce. She slammed down 2 sauces and said "next time I'm charging you". I took 1 to my table and said you know what I'll put it back because I ordered a side of fried rice and will give my mom mine. Shes slamming the ice around etc... Also I had bean sprouts in my food a few weeks ago when I asked for none in 3 of my meals. I didn't complain. I did have 2 complaints from the past about sweet and sour chicken being hard it was all like bone cartridges. If you complain one time the rest of the time on they treat you like crap. I'm done with going here I've had enough of thier bs.“

“Located in the entrance to Dupont. The Good_ Really good terioki and yakisobi. Other yakisobi places only give you like 3,4 or possibly 5 pieces of shrimp in your meal. I was pleasantly surprised to find i had at LEAST 10. a plus!
The negative. _Quite expensive! We got 1 dish of Terioki, 1 dish of Yakisobi plus 2 orders (4) egg rolls, NO drinks, NO other extras and our bill was nearly $50. Yes_it was delicious but I question the price tag.“
