Food was delicious with good service.
Madrona is one of those Seattle enclaves that has done the work of converting older housing stock into something genuinely lovely, and Red Cow is a great example of an operator making the most of it. The driveway of this old house now retail/office has been turned into an outdoor patio for dining, which is a smart use of the bones of the place.

I haven't had many steaks in Seattle, but this one was the best. Amazing service, nice space, great food. My filet was perfect and the profiteroles divine! 🤤

Red Cow is a restaurant where the staff provide exceptional service, making every dining experience special. The restaurant also offers a back room/family style option, perfect for large groups, which has received praise for its tasty drinks and generous portions. While some diners have noted that the prices can be higher than expected and have experienced mediocre dishes, many others appreciate the well-executed meals and the attentive service. Reservations are recommended, as the restaurant can get busy. The steak tartare is the best in Seattle, and the 14oz Double R Ranch Center Cut Ribeye is phenomenal, cooked perfectly medium rare, super juicy, and packed with flavor. The Provençal Olives are addictive, and the Salad Verte is super simple. The fries were crispy and well-seasoned. Red Cow has an excellent happy hour. The prime rib French dip and crème brûlée were outstanding. Bea was an excellent server.
