I’ve been a customer of Emerald City Smoothie for years, visiting locations across Seattle, Bellevue, Redmond, and Shoreline. At one point, I almost stopped going altogether because the quality varied quite a bit from store to store—even within the same location. Some smoothies were great, many were just okay, and a few missed the mark.

That said, I want to give a special shoutout to Alex at the Shoreline location. She consistently makes the best smoothies my partner and I have ever had. The team there has also been very consistent, which really stands out.

“We visited Aroom with our family and absolutely loved the experience. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the coffee is excellent, and the interior is very stylish and thoughtfully designed.

The service truly stands out attentive, kind, and genuinely welcoming, which makes you want to come back again. A special thank you to the team: our little son accidentally spilled his hot coffee, and they immediately made a new one for him. That level of care really touched us.

“Oh, Pacha! There is so much to love about this place. The food, service, and atmosphere really draw you back and every time it shows up tenfold. We love bringing our two small kids here, it’s very family friendly (IYKYK) but also grown up. The team at Pacha really makes an impact and we love supporting this local business. “It's hard for me to understand some of the reviews on this location being negative. I have been coming here every Sunday for the past two years, and have always had a good experience and the smoothies have always been excellent no matter who was making it. The staff there are courteous and friendly. The store itself is always impeccably clean and well organized, and is the nicest E.C.S location I've been to by far. I have a choice on where to buy a smoothie and there is a reason I have been coming here for the past two years. They are good at what they do and are consistently good. Would recommend getting a smoothie here to anybody I know.....Would give them six stars if I could.“

“This is my absolute favorite spot to pop in for a casual lunch. It’s a calm, very quiet spot. Super nice for getting a plate of sushi and taking a moment to breathe. I personally will just go in there and prop up my phone, and throw on a youtube video or podcast. The vibe is very similar to a japanese cafe, where you can sit on your own, do your own thing, and there is no judgement for wearing headphones or being on a laptop. Also nice to do work in. “Stopped by to pick up a friend and decided to get a smoothie. Got to talk to the owner for a few minutes while waiting and he was super friendly. I saw that you can customize the smoothies too and he was very knowledgable in the type of supplements and products you can add and gave some recommendations. If you like peanut butter, try the peanut butter banana smoothie with collagen and protein, it was delicious!“

“I decided to stop by after a workout to replenish my energy and I was surprised at how good these smoothies turned out to be. There's 3 sizes with 32oz being the largest. The prices are a steal. Compared to Jamba Juice, this tastes more nutritious and flavorful.My favorite is the Vita Boost which comes with real blueberries and protein. Absolute must-try! There's a wide selection of smoothies that offer different benefits. I wish I had started coming here sooner! They even have snacks and other protein options.The only main downside is the that the hours are inconsistent. I know that it's not open on Sunday and I can't find any information about the hours of operations here.“

“My wife and I love this place. They have the best and most authentic acai bowls in the Seattle area. Both owners are from Brazil and one of them is from the region acai comes from, so he has the best understanding of the way it should taste and the best quality of acai. We highly recommend the acai bowls and also the mini coquinas with the green sauce.“

The owner, who’s always there, and the trainers are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Compared to other gyms and memberships, their prices are very reasonable. “I ordered from door dash and the smoothies were not labeled, so I had no idea which one was mine. I have pancreatitis, so I have to have non-fat milk. My boyfriend got a similar smoothie but it was extremely hard to tell the difference. He assured me he could tell by the color which one was his but I couldn't risk it. Please label the smoothies!“

“La Copa has the best coffee in the area. Their staff understands the science and art of pulling espresso shots and their machine is calibrated properly so your drink is well made. They have a nice variety of food options made on premises and everything is delicious. Our favorites are the breakfast burritos (huge and yummy), the coffee cakes (flavors rotate), GF banana bread w/ chips, the danishes, the marzuka bars, the cookies, and the turkey pesto panini. The owners and staff are hard-working and kind. They care about their locals and the newbies. Do yourself a favor and stop in. You deserve it!“

“My first time coming here and the boba and tattertots were so good! My friend and I ordered strawberry mango slushy and an oolong milk tea! They were perfectly sweet and the boba was perfectly chewy! The barista was also extremely friendly! Such a good study spot too! “The paneer burger used to be mind blowing. I would have become vegetarian if I could eat it every single day. But they switched out the cheese to low quality American cheese which is not even real cheese by the way and I’m really disappointed with how it has affected the burger taste. “What a beautiful and very welcoming studio! I was in town for a work conference and wanted to start my morning with a great stretch and yoga practice. Drift was perfect as it’s easy to sign up online and they provide all equipment for you. No worrying about renting a mat. It was great for multiple levels. The other yogis were very kind as well. I’d absolutely go back.“

“A spacious spot with lots of seating, games and very friendly staff! Their drink and smoothie menu is very extensive, although noting bubble tea flavours are powder. We ordered two of their paninis - chicken pesto and spicy chicken. Excellent crunch and flavour, spicy chicken was a very mild and gentle spice. Only complaint is there could have been more chicken in both sandwiches (which was more like small chicken shreds).“

“Bambu in Edmonds is an absolute gem and easily one of the best spots for authentic Vietnamese chè and Asian-inspired desserts north of Seattle. Everything here is made with incredible care and the freshest ingredients—fresh young coconuts cracked daily for that perfect coconut meat and water, house-made pandan jelly, and real fruit in every drink.
The Bambu Special is perfection: a delightful mix of pandan jelly, longan, basil seeds, red tapioca, and coconut that’s refreshing, textured, and not overly sweet (customize your sugar level—I love it at 50%). The Fruit Addict is bursting with fresh fruits, and their smoothies (like taro or avocado) are thick, creamy, and made with real ingredients—no powders here.
Don’t sleep on the pandan waffles—they’re the standout, crispy on the outside, soft and chewy inside, with that fragrant pandan flavor shining through. Hands down the best I’ve had at any Bambu location. The Vietnamese iced coffee is bold, smooth, and brewed the traditional way.
Service is always warm, friendly, and knowledgeable—staff happily explain the menu, offer samples, and make recommendations. The place is clean, vibrant, and welcoming, with generous portions at fair prices ($6-10 for most items). So many options are gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan-friendly too.
