“I LOVE teriyaki salmon, but it can be dry and flavorless at some places. Not at Niko! Absolutely the best teriyaki salmon I've ever had! A real salmon filet, perfectly seasoned and cooked. Nico is my go to teriyaki spot from now on!“
“I like teriyaki. I don’t have it often, maybe because I am usually so underwhelmed by the places I have it. This night, I found myself hungry, and One Teriyaki was close. Never been there. I prepared to be underwhelmed. At least the place was clean and tidy. To my surprise, my order came out in half the time I expected it. On a large, square, black plate with VERY generous portions of spicy chicken, rice and salad. It is the best teriyaki I have had in quite awhile. What a pleasant surprise. Highly recommended!“
“All I have to say is the Salmon Tornado is amazing! And so is everything I have tried, the Pork Raman the broth almost had a creamy texture with big slices of pork and it was very filling, I ordered the Tofu salad and it had tons of avocado and a delicious dressing, Met the owner and he definitely has the pride of ownership, One thing to note this place is very small but worth the wait.“
“The service was amazing. I'm guessing it was the owner. I was talking to and she was an absolute sweetheart and took the time to explain all the dishes. I didn't get her name. But she looked like mom and possibly daughters working. They were all absolutely so sweet and the food. Oh my god out of this world Highly recommend. The chicken was crispy just like the picture and cooked perfectly Probably could have gotten A better picture but it was absolutely amazing delicious. Next time i'm gonna get the burger“
“"Indulge in the essence of authentic teriyaki at its finest in the heart of the PNW, crafted by the legendary Chef Toshi since 1976."Each bite of the chicken katsu, grilled chicken, or beef unveils tender perfection, perfectly complemented by the precisely balanced sweetness of the teriyaki sauce. Accompanied by a delightful coleslaw, every dish is a symphony of flavors. With less than 13 dollars included tax (can you imagine it in 2024?), you're treated to the quintessence of Seattle's most beloved cuisine. Definitely worth driving an hour just to savor a chicken teriyaki that captures the essence and history of our city.“
“Here's a funny story....Brace yourself, it will be long. To be respectful of the owner, owners, whatever it may be, I am omitting names and locations. Anyway...I used to order Teriyaki regularly during my lunch break from a specific location in WA. I loved the taste and the portions of this particular place. I LOVED this place. I ate Teriyaki exclusively at THIS place. If I wanted Teriyaki on a weekend, I would drive 25 minutes to get it from THIS place.I would always order this specific order: Chicken Breast Teriyaki, no salad, extra rice, and a side order of gyoza, no drink. I know, that's a lot of food for a dude 5'8" at a buck fifty, but I can put it away, especially during a cheat meal.Overtime, I would order, and the person on the line would say. "David? 15 minutes." So she got to know me through my repetitive and specific order.I loved the taste of the food. Everything. The portions are huge. You don't see that very often....Large portions and good food. It's typically either good food, small portions or bland food, large portions. Not here, which is why they earned my exclusive business. She also always included a drink and didn't charge me for it.This went on for years until one day, I noticed a sign on the door that they would be closing. I was pretty sad about it, but I just kind of accepted it as a lot of my favorite food places in that area also were closing. I also am not the best at dealing with grieving people or sad situations.I only ate Teriyaki a handful of times after that for the next 4-5 years. Typically out of necessity when I didn't bring a lunch, but only a handful of times and always disappointed they could not hit the bar I was used to.This was about 10 years in total.Recently, about a year ago, I was sitting on a the sofa and thinking about what I should have for a cheat meal....Scrolling and thinking, "No, no, no. None of these places will do." I started having flashbacks of the Teriyaki and Gyoza that I used to have.I decided to give it another go.I called up my local place in Lake Stevens "Teriyaki Diner." I ordered Chicken Breast Teriyaki, no salad, extra rice, a side order of gyoza, no drink."I kid you not, the woman on the line says, "David?"I can't tell you the euphoria, excitement, and shock I was feeling all at the same time. I had a minor existential crisis before I answered, "Yes!" There wasn't much you could say to me at this time to bring me down.We both kinda laughed it off before confirming my order. I went and picked it up as usual. Same place. Same great food. Same great people.Anyway....been ordering regularly again ever since. Love this place.PSTeriyaki is a great choice if you are on a diet and feeling naughty. Not sure who needs to hear that, but you are welcome.“
“The workers greeted us very warmly & they were all working hard & skillfully like a well oiled machine...you could tell the servers & sushi chefs were well seasoned. It was a very warm day and we were seated by the front windows, which even with the thick curtains, was still acting like a radiant heated wall! Not a big deal for me as I run cold, but if you are a hot person...this might have bothered you. I was actually wearing a tank top so I was perfect...it was double date night. The fish on sushi & sashimi platters was buttery & fresh. Lots of roll varieties too just how I like it. We started with some appetizers, nice sized shareable portions of tempura calamari & chicken karage. We also ordered agedashi tofu & veggie & shrimp temp, perfect portion sizes for a party of 4 for appetizers. No one ordered any entrees or bentos...although they look really good, we stuck to sushi. They give you a sushi list and a pen and you mark down what you want yourself...I like that too, more control on server making mistakes! I love trying ikura(salmon roe) at different restaurants to see if the chefs marinate the delicate eggs or not. I was pleasantly surprised to find this order of ikura marinated. It was slightly sweet with a hint of sake and not too salty as some restaurants will make it. This order was rich & creamy with the addition of quail egg. We ordered a small sashimi combo with salmon, yellowtail, toro & another white fish...I don't know if it was bonito or what, they didn't go over the items when they dropped the dish...but it was the one in the front on the left. They have an extensive roll list which has a ton of California based rolls topped with numerous options. All really good, but California roll base is kind of boring...maybe they could switch up the centers a little. We got Las Vegas roll...completely deep fried, yummy if you like that type of roll, Polar Bear roll, Cali roll topped with white tuna & seared salmon...YUM, a lemon salmon roll, Cali roll topped with salmon & lemon segments...they go so well together!!!! We also had a Firecracker roll which is a spicy tuna roll topped with more spicy tuna & fried minced garlic...really good with a little extra heat, maybe some jalapeños minced up in there but so tasty. We also ordered a White Christmas roll which is a shrimp tempura roll topped with white tuna, Avacado & a wasabi cream sauce...super tasty. Can't have sushi without a Spider roll & I always have an ume shiso roll...this one had lots of julienned cucumbers in it & a negihama roll to appease my clean, raw fish craving. Excellent sushi & the wait for our food was good. We had reservations & I definitely recommend taking the time to make one if you want guaranteed seating, I saw a lot of walk ins turned away or told they'd have an ample wait. If you're up north, I'd highly recommend Sushi Zen.“
“Service was great, man was very nice. Dining in is not allowed so atmosphere not great. Rice and salad portions were large, chicken katsu was enough but small portion compared to other places. Chicken didn't look appetizing. Drove out of my way based on ratings, not worth it. Wish I could post pics.“
“My first time was last week and I'm going back there again so does that tell you anything spicy chicken breast gyoza and miso soup everything was delicious and can't wait to try something else and the people there are very nice!!!“
“My first time at Akane Ramen left a positive impression. The place has a calm and well-maintained atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a meal. The service was efficient and fast, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. While I added extra spice to my ramen, it may have masked some of the broth's flavors. Overall, it's a good spot to dine in.Vegetarian options: Vegan options available“
“Stopped in for a late lunch on Saturday. The couple running the place was friendly enough, atmosphere was simple, but the food was great! Seemed to be a more extensive menu than other teriyaki shops around town, service was fast and the sushi was wonderful. May be my new favorite place in town. Would recommend!“
“i love coming here me and my mom come very often on fridays. We love the sushi!! its ssooo good!! basically the food me and my mom have tried is super good! i really like the sexy roll and my mom really likes the spider roll! we also love the beef teriyaki or spicy chicken! The place is super clean and pretty! i love coming here?“
“After driving around 20 minutes to try a new teriyaki spot because the two teriyaki places I usually go around Silver Lake / Mill Creek area was closed, I think I might've found my #1 place! I ordered spicy chicken, which came with miso soup and salad. Firstly, the taste was not your typical "teriyaki chicken" that comes in a to go box. They serve the chicken in a foil to keep it warm. Chicken tasted like it was freshly grilled (not sitting in a warmer), which I did wonder how it was going to be given I ordered an hour before closing. The first bite was like holy crap, wow, this is sooo dang good! There were like 3-5 different crazy flavors hitting my taste buds at once. The spicy sauce it came with was something I've never tasted before. After looking at their menu online with more detail, I've come to realize that this place wasn't just a teriyaki spot, but a unique, hole in the wall restaurant that served Korean rice bowls (bibimpap), bento boxes, and sushi - all fused with amazing Korean sauce flavors! They also have Korean fried chicken as well, which made sense. Even the salad was amazing because of their dressing. Like they say, it's all about the sauce, and Gold Chicken definitely has their "Magic Sauce!". I'm absolutely going back to try rest of their menu. It's kind of hard to find this place. It's tucked away in the corner of Target's giant parking lot. I think if the location was more visible to the street, this place for sure will be gold!“
“You owe it to yourself to try this sushi restaurant. The quality is the best I have had in Seattle, and it is the farthest thing you can get from the conveyor belt sushi restaurant. If you want a traditional, homey, sushi atmosphere this is it. Miso soup is the best I have had in the area, and the garlic edamame is also great. The entire staff was so warm and welcoming. Great sushi, great value, great restaurant.“
“Recently moved to the area and I'll admit I started coming here first off because of its vicinity to me but wow I have become a loyal customer for a lot more then that! Always speedy, very fair portion sizes, delicious food! I mean look at that poke bowl! It's beautiful and it is BIG, very proportionate (nothing worse then wanting POKE and it's all sides with a piece of sashimi sized tuna) not the case here! Tons of rice and lettuce underneath as well, she's a hefty gal trust me. Looking forward to my next bowl and trying a new entree!“
“Busy area near the kitchen for the family of employee. Looks bad from entry but could be decluttered. Otherwise nice atmosphere.Vegetarian options: There were not any specific vegetarian offerings. I looked around a bit on menu. However this food is generally a good idea for Pescetarians. Vegetarians would look for soy here.Kid-friendliness: I saw a lot of kids toys and nursing equipment“
“Very delicious teriyaki, love the burgers here, used to go there for the famous teriyaki burgers almost daily, only downside is they've been jacking up the prices on the burgers... so I stopped going there as often as I used to...The burgers are literally just buns and a few pieces of meat from a chicken teriyaki. How does this cost half of an entire Teriyaki meal. ?“
“This is my favorite teriyaki stop in Marysville so far. All of them have been good but this one has a little edge. I still have more to try though so either way I still win. Lots to choose from on the menu and the staff is friendly. This location appears zombie free to boot.“
“We decided to try this for takeout. They were fast making the food, and it was ready to be picked up on time. Everything we ordered was delicious. It's our new favorite asian food takeout. The orange chicken and tempura vegetables were a hit with the whole family.“
“Got the chicken and beef teriyaki with fried rice family meal. Came with 4 egg rolls or 16 pot stickers. I did half and half. Also, salad. The food is great. Love their fried rice. It's done right. I have been in other places it's fried and all brown from soy sauce and no vegetables.“
“Service, food, ambiance of restaurant was very nice. I called an order in for pickup. Ordered spicy teriyaki and vegetable fried rice. She asked for me to pay cash and I did to help them with business. They have been located here in Lake Stevens for 20+ years. My first time trying and they didn't disappoint. I've had a lot of teriyaki in my life and when I showed up to pick up she opened the boxes and showed me and offered to put sauce on my white rice served with the spicy teriyaki and I said yes and so glad I did. Sauce homemade from here was delicious. Everything was spot on, hot and taste was delicious. Try them! Huge dining room with lots of extras like tea and water and very friendly staff.“
“This is a great spot for lunch or dinner! The older couple owning this place are the sweetest and the food is fantastic. This is a true mom and pop establishment and every time I eat here it tastes like a homemade meal. The the spicy teriyaki is my favorite.“
“Love this dive joint. The people are nice, the food portion is generous and they are fast. I've had plenty of meals from this place and I plan on continuing to buy food from hereParking: You'll find a spot. Maybe not directly in front of the store all the time, but a walk from a parking spot a little further away is good for you. Don't hate... appreciate.“
“Only reason I didn't want to go here was because of the area, but I saw they had really good ratings so I went. Very nice and clean and welcoming place. Greeted very welcoming, food was a bit pricey but what isn't now... Food was delicious!!! Will be back, def recommend. Plenty of parking as it's in a small strip mall, we left and there was a beautiful rainbow. ?“
“Food was good, had to get a reorder as one dish was way too salty but they accommodated without an issue, drinks are limited, but they did have some options and did have tea. One of their restrooms were out of order but we were able to use the employee bathroom.“
“I recently went to Tokyo Garden and had an outstanding experience. The vegetable tempura was a standout, perfectly crispy and bursting with flavor. The chicken katsu was equally impressive, cooked to perfection, and the accompanying sauce added a delightful touch. The very friendly service contributed to a thoroughly enjoyable meal. Tokyo Garden deserves five stars for its delectable cuisine.“
“*UberEats Delivery Review*Packaging: 5/5 Everything was packed nice and secure, no spillage! Utensils were provided upon request. Preparation time didn't take too long either.Food: 5/5So good! Only snapped a photo of the Chicken Breast Teriyaki. A great alternative if you are trying to watch your calorie intake somewhat and want something more high protein. Was slightly dry but they did a good job considering it's chicken breast.Spicy chicken was also good. Our favorite though, was the chicken katsu. It was so juicy, and the portions were huge. I think they use dark meat for the katsu, which I prefer because white meat is just way too try. I'll definitely order from here again!“
“I don't know how busy this place usually gets, but there were a few other patrons when I got there and I was in and out in about 25 min. My food came rather quickly and it was SO BOMB. I ordered a pork belly bun and build your own ramen bowl. The pork belly was perfectly cooked with a nice crisp and the sauce was mouthwatering. As far as the soup goes it was fantastic and every bite was its own little piece of heaven. I like my food spicy so of course I had spicy miso and kimchi with my noodles. Personally it could have had a *little* more kick but I'm not really complaining either. The host and server were very friendly.I will definitely be coming back in the near future. I may update with the latest food I try.“
“I just got door dash from this restaurant. I was CRAVING tempura and they didn't disappoint. The tempura was still a bit crispy despite the transport to my home. It came with miso soup which I didn't know. I can't report on the look of the restaurant since I wasn't there. My food seemed to be made quickly based on the tracker on DoorDash. Give these people a try!“
“We love this place! Me and my husband come here all the time for sushi! When I moved to this area I was looking for a good sushi place and we found it! They have the most amazing lion king roll, go Seahawks roll and Phili Roll!! You have got to try this place! Plus they have the sweetest employees here!“
“Delicious food - Crispy Alaska and Washington Sushi, Vegetable Gyoza, Shrimp and Vegetable tempura, and Sunomono salad. (Definitely recommend Crispy Alaska sushi and Sunomono salad - which I don't see in my local restaurants). The food and service were outstanding. This is a small locally owned restaurant. There was plenty of free street parking. Just two of us for lunch. We tried a variety of dishes. Quick service, delicious food.Parking: This restaurant is located in an old downtown with plenty of free parking. There are many small businesses nearby.“
“I am blown away by the sushi at this restaurant! Every piece is a work of art, beautifully presented and bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors. The fish is incredibly fresh and melts in your mouth, while the rice is perfectly seasoned and holds everything together flawlessly. From classic rolls to creative specials, there's something for everyone to enjoy. The atmosphere is inviting, and the service is top-notch, making each dining experience memorable. If you're a sushi lover like me, you won't be disappointed!“
“Come hungry! I didn't expect much but I was pleasantly surprised. When I came inside I noticed good music playing and was greeted by a well mannered fellow. I chose a katsu/chicken lunch combo that I paid $18 for. It came with a drink so I checked the fountain out. There were the usual suspects and also the stubborn brand agave vanilla cream soda, pineapple cream soda, melon, horchata, and Jamaica. On my way to select a table I noticed free soup! It was a mildly spicy egg flower like soup that I enjoyed quite a bit. I sat down and watched a steady parade of regulars come and go many of whom the gentleman behind the counter seemed to know. He even knew some of their orders. A waitress brought my food which came with rice, salad, chicken, katsu, and the katsu sauce. The rice was sticky, the katsu was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, the chicken had a light teriyaki, and the salad was cold with an interesting creamy red dressing. Hot sauce and teriyaki sauce as well as to go containers were readily available. Also, there were gum and toy vending machines.Overall, a 9 of 10. I think I found my new teriyaki stop for the family!??“
“The best teriyaki/Chinese takeout food in all of Snohomish and king county. Very similar to Taster’s Wok in Lynnwood in the quality of the food but way less expensive. I’ll never go to another teriyaki place. The General Tso’s chicken is my favorite, and their teriyaki sauce is a sweet soy glaze which is delicious bc most teriyaki joints have pure salty soy sauce which tastes gross. Totally recommend!!“
“Inside Everett Mall, you can find an underrated Teriyaki spot. I ordered a spicy chicken teriyaki, which cost about $10. When dining in the food court, the worker would provide a bottle of sauce to use, which I made use of. The portion of the rice and chicken was more than enough for one person. The chicken's spiciness was also great, as it is spicier than other teriyaki spots. Overall, I recommend coming to Teriyaki Express if you don't care about dining in a mall.“
“It’s been so long since I have gotten food from this place! But I am glad I came back around to it. Today I placed for a later pickup for 5:30pm but it turned out I got off of work a little early. I called the restaurant letting them know that my pickup will be “now.” And the lady who I spoke with on the phone was accommodating and my food was ready as she had said.?“
“We ALWAYS get take out from here of chicken katsu - not only is it delicious, it's a great value for the amount of food! We tried going somewhere else on a day they were closed and it was disappointing all around. Will not go anywhere else for chicken katsu!“
“The chicken yakisoba is excellent. Lots of vegetables cooked just right. The sauce was tasty and not overwhelming.I do not recommend the spring rolls. They tasted like they were from the frozen aisle of the grocery store.I was pleasantly surprised to receive this nice takeout bag.“
“This is by far my favorite teriyaki place in the entire world. Chicken fried rice is one of my favorite dishes, and this place does it the best. I have been to a lot of teriyaki places, I order chicken fried rice every single time, and none of them even compare. The chicken is tender, flavorful, and cut into perfectly small pieces. The vegetables balance together wonderfully. The rice itself is flavorful and fried to the perfect texture. The ratios between the rice, meat, and veggies are PERFECT. Every single bite I am able to balance chicken, rice, and veggies. Never am I left wanting for any one component. And the consistency between orders? Impeccable. I have eaten this dish 10 or so times since I moved to the area a few months ago and never once has the quality been lacking. They also pack the container full - for one order, they give me two full meals. All for an incredibly affordable $12.99.When I am sad, I call here for chicken fried rice. When I am struggling to cook and feed myself, I call here for chicken fried rice. I recommend this place to all my friends and tell every single person I can about how much I love it. If I wasn’t struggling to get consistent work and trying to save money, I would eat here multiple times a week. The service here is also wonderful. Ordering online is super easy. The food is usually ready in 10 minutes, 15 minutes maximum. Care is taken with special orders. I once asked for no lima beans in my fried rice and they went through and picked them all out for me (I have food texture sensitivities). Though now I just pick them out on my own because I don’t want to make the chefs’ lives more difficult. The workers are also very kind and polite. This place means so much to me. Chicken fried rice is a really important comfort food, and when my partner and I were looking at apartments, it was a requirement that we test the nearby teriyaki places before making any decisions. I was so stressed moving here, I have only ever lived in rural areas and small cities before now. But when we tried the food here, I knew I would be okay in our new apartment. And after living here a few months, this place and their chicken fried rice have done so much for my mental well-being as I struggle with a huge time of change in my life. I am so thankful for the workers here and what they do.It goes without saying, but if you read all this, I highly recommend you give Teriyaki Plus on 4th Ave a visit.Dietary restrictions: They make substitutions for picky eaters.“
“Good chicken katsu. Orange chicken was so-so. Too much sauce..... Unfortunately I have to say it's NOT a pleasant place to come to. The owner/cashier doesn't smile or seem friendly. Eating there is like sitting in the principal's office. Too bad.“
“I know nothing about sushi, I can't stand fish. This place has the best spicy chicken teriyaki I've found. Rich sauce, nothing at all like kikkoman, spicy with red and jalapeño peppers, and moist tender chicken. Comes with rice, soup and small salad. Everything is very good. Great service every time I've been here.“
“Seems like there's a new ownership for this restaurant about a month ago which turned out to be great. Food got way better and they actually take care of the customers more on what they want and prices are cheap! Highly recommend this place to everyone.I always get spicy chicken and gyoza combo.“
“Stepping into this family restaurant felt like entering a cherished oasis of warmth and comfort. From the moment we were greeted with genuine smiles to the last bite of our meal, every aspect of our experience radiated with hospitality and charm. The ambiance exuded a cozy familiarity, inviting us to relax and savor the moment together. As we indulged in the diverse menu offerings, each dish was crafted with care and attention to detail, showcasing the culinary prowess of the kitchen. But what truly set this restaurant apart was the palpable sense of community fostered within its walls. Whether it was the friendly exchanges with other diners or the personalized recommendations from the staff, it was evident that this was more than just a place to eat – it was a hub of connection and shared joy. In a world often characterized by hustle and bustle, this family restaurant stands as a beacon of heartfelt hospitality, beckoning all who enter to slow down, savor the flavors, and cherish the company of loved ones.“
“First visit here definitely not our last. This place was really great. Sweet lady took order cook smiled at us was quickly made. Only 15 minutes and we were on our way. Food was perfect and she gave us fresh dog food for our puppies at home they loved. We got to eat in peace for 1 night because they had their own food. Love this place.“
“Yesterday, we visited this establishment for the first time, and we were thoroughly impressed! From the food and service to the ambiance, everything exceeded our expectations. The lighting was just right, not too bright. As someone who is particular about teriyaki, I must say, the dish here was absolutely delicious!“
“note that if you want Teriyaki this is one of the few places you can get it on Sunday. long-time existing mom and pop establishment. if you want to support local this is it.the food was good but not the BEST I EVER HAD. portions were large.area is not the greatest nor is the restaurant fancy.service was very friendly.“
“Quality food and excellent service! They’ve consistently made great food since I was a kid! This place makes WAY better food than the other Kami restaurant in the middle of town. Some personal favorites I recommend are their egg rolls, pork fried rice, wonton soup, beef yakisoba and sweet/sour chicken.“
“Ordered from Manse Teriyaki on Uber Eats earlier this evening, and could not be more pleased! Food was absolutely delicious, well-priced, and came with a great amount of food. It can be hard to find Yaki Udon at most teriyaki places, so I was really pleased to find this on the menu. I will definitely be returning to Manse Teriyaki!“
“The food was good and the service nice. There are plenty of items on the menu I still have to try. No zombies noticed but I did see evidence of goblins in the park across the street. Should be safe in the daytime though. With entrances in front and rear you have parking options. Well worth a stop.“
“Our family really enjoys this teriyaki restaurant. We’ve tried many places, and this place has our favorite chicken yakisoba. Really generous with the chicken and lovely fresh vegetables. Mongolian beef had fresh and crisp broccoli. Sesame chicken was very tasty. Generous portions that don’t skip on the meat. Definitely recommend!“
