“We have loved this building for now four generations of our family coming here. The current proprietor makes delicious food and pours her heart and skills into every scratch recipe. Today, we were well taken care of as we celebrated my mom’s 75th birthday in their outdoor dining space. Everyone loved their food, enjoyed friendly & attentive service, and enjoyed many “memory lane” conversations about coming to The Bair (and Mom working part-time here back in the day). “Our go to spot in Tacoma for over ten years! The staff is fantastic, the hot dogs are magical and the drink selection is massive! Great vibes, easy atmosphere to chat with friends, play a game or go on a date. Can’t recommend this place enough! Their vegan hot dog menu is great & accommodating for non meat eating diners.“

“Each time I go here I get the spicy tonkotsu ramen. The char siu is perfectly grilled so you can taste the carmelization. It is bad etiquette to take out your phone when there's hot ramen on the table so I don't have photos, but trust me.“

“This is a very solid Asian fusion style restaurant with a strong takeout presence. They have a descent menu but their Vietnamese food tends to be better than their Chinese Food. The souper salad is a nice option if you are looker for a liter option but still strong flavors.
One of the biggest draw back is they continue to have health department with Okay and or needs improvement ratings.“

“1st let me say..had food twice, once from order service and other in person. Both times the service and food were great! The manager is very nice and respectful along with the staff. The funny differences from other sushi restaurants are the fact you have to order everything by QR code ( so if you want a mobile device free night..not gonna happen) and your order comes via a robot! Now that I found funny because I kept on despite directions from the “robot waitress” trying to take food from the other shelves until I got used to things. Speaking on getting “used to”..try maybe 1 or 2 times order something small to get used to how the quantities are served. My friend meant to only get 2 of something and ended up with 3 and I had to eat the extra 1 for respect of the dining rules “whatever is left when you are done you must pay for”. Now the “all you can eat” bit. Please understand that the food here is really good and that they offer quite a unique variety of items to try and eat. That is the meaning of the “all you can eat” here. This is not a legit “all you can eat” restaurant . For $30 you are getting way good quality..so do you want good quality or high quantity? In this tight market you can’t really get both. So please be mindful & respectful of this. They do sadly have techniques to let you know when you are reaching “their” maximum..and after much thought…I can respect that. Overall the food, service and everything else was excellent. I ate mostly the sashimi which I thought tasted fresh and buttery when needed to be and when ate rolls I had the rolls that were cooked and those were handled expertly. My friends had the coconut shrimp which was the favorite for them and such like items. One said the ribs were tough and the fried rice was too hard. Overall I will return and be more “menu venturing “ knowing that there is actually a limit. Again..out of respect, please respect quality over quantity.“

“This is by far the best BBQ in Western WA. Everything is good. Portion sizes are great and prices are reasonable. We drive an hour just to get great BBQ. We have met people who drove 3 hours to just eat the excellent BBQ. They also have vegetarian options.“

“The OPH organization is absolutely wonderful. My daughter and I are visiting WA and ate at the Bothell location. My daughter purchased a forever coffee mug but left it on the table when we left. We contacted the Manager, Cameron, and he was absolutely amazing with coordinating the pick up of the mug at another location. We arrived at the Tacoma location to pick up the mug and eat lunch. The Manager, Alan, was anticipating our arrival and welcomed us with a big smile. He brought us the mug and for the remainder of our visit both our server Jorge and Manager Alan were very attentive. They checked on us regularly and made us feel like VIPs. Thank you to the OPH team for making our experience memorable. Amazing customer service. We will be back, Alan! I go there almost everyday, I see new faces once in awhile, but mostly familiar, but they all are extreamly kind, hard working, professional.
