“We have loved this building for now four generations of our family coming here. The current proprietor makes delicious food and pours her heart and skills into every scratch recipe. Today, we were well taken care of as we celebrated my mom’s 75th birthday in their outdoor dining space. Everyone loved their food, enjoyed friendly & attentive service, and enjoyed many “memory lane” conversations about coming to The Bair (and Mom working part-time here back in the day). “Our recent visit totacoma included a dining experience at Cactus, a swcond location to the one in Seattle,a Latin fusion establishment. While the restaurant presents a Mexican aesthetic, its culinary offerings lean towards a Latin fusion cFor those seeking traditional Mexican cuisine, this may not be the ideal choice. However, for individuals in search of a flavorful dining experience with a pleasant atmosphere and attentive service, Cactus is highly recommended. During our visit, I selected the Seattle chimichanga with smoked brisket, which offered a complex and enjoyable flavor profile. My son opted for the flautas, which he also found to be excellent. For dessert, we shared the flan and bananas dulces. Although I was unable to partake in the sweet bananas due to a cinnamon allergy, my son reported they were exceptional. It is worth noting that Kurt Cobain reportedly had his final meal at this establishment, including the sweet bananas for dessert.

At the Tacoma location, we had the flautas again. I had the Burrita Lenera with flank steak; it was spicy enough to give it a great flavor. I will recommend it with the smoked brisket, and my son had the shrimp and grits. He said that it is his new favorite dish.

For an appetizer, we got the Guac sampler, and it didn't disappoint, but the chips and salsa are great too.

The flan was enjoyable, though I personally prefer my own recipe; I still highly recommend it. We had this dessert in both locations; it's that good.

The cost, including beverages, was approximately $30+ per person, which is considered reasonable.

In summary, while the restaurant's Mexican-inspired dishes receive a rating of 5 out of 10, its Latin fusion offerings are rated a 9 out of 10, making it a worthwhile dining destination.

“I have frequented this place for years. It's a meet up spot for my old friends and myself. When they're in town, this is automatically where we go.
The dogs are phenomenal. I tend to stick to my favorites, which are the 6th Ave Strut & Ragin Cajun. Every once in a while I venture out. But my friends like different dogs and they love them. Dining in is so much better, but throughout the years, they've made takeout enjoyable. They used to wrap them up for takeout, which meant soggy buns. They now have takeout carriers, which makes it so much better to enjoy if you're not able to dine in.
Parking can be an issue, depending on what time of day or day off the week you go. However, it is worth it. I promise, you will find something you like, food or drink.“

I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was hands down the best breakfast burrito I have ever had, normally places have way too much eggs in them but not here! Perfect! Great coffee too. “1st let me say..had food twice, once from order service and other in person. Both times the service and food were great! The manager is very nice and respectful along with the staff. The funny differences from other sushi restaurants are the fact you have to order everything by QR code ( so if you want a mobile device free night..not gonna happen) and your order comes via a robot! Now that I found funny because I kept on despite directions from the “robot waitress” trying to take food from the other shelves until I got used to things. Speaking on getting “used to”..try maybe 1 or 2 times order something small to get used to how the quantities are served. My friend meant to only get 2 of something and ended up with 3 and I had to eat the extra 1 for respect of the dining rules “whatever is left when you are done you must pay for”. Now the “all you can eat” bit. Please understand that the food here is really good and that they offer quite a unique variety of items to try and eat. That is the meaning of the “all you can eat” here. This is not a legit “all you can eat” restaurant . For $30 you are getting way good quality..so do you want good quality or high quantity? In this tight market you can’t really get both. So please be mindful & respectful of this. They do sadly have techniques to let you know when you are reaching “their” maximum..and after much thought…I can respect that. Overall the food, service and everything else was excellent. I ate mostly the sashimi which I thought tasted fresh and buttery when needed to be and when ate rolls I had the rolls that were cooked and those were handled expertly. My friends had the coconut shrimp which was the favorite for them and such like items. One said the ribs were tough and the fried rice was too hard. Overall I will return and be more “menu venturing “ knowing that there is actually a limit. Again..out of respect, please respect quality over quantity.“

“This is by far the best BBQ in Western WA. Everything is good. Portion sizes are great and prices are reasonable. We drive an hour just to get great BBQ. We have met people who drove 3 hours to just eat the excellent BBQ. They also have vegetarian options.“

“The OPH organization is absolutely wonderful. My daughter and I are visiting WA and ate at the Bothell location. My daughter purchased a forever coffee mug but left it on the table when we left. We contacted the Manager, Cameron, and he was absolutely amazing with coordinating the pick up of the mug at another location. We arrived at the Tacoma location to pick up the mug and eat lunch. The Manager, Alan, was anticipating our arrival and welcomed us with a big smile. He brought us the mug and for the remainder of our visit both our server Jorge and Manager Alan were very attentive.
