The blistered cherry tomatoes, pesto and burrata were a magical combination, beautifully executed.The halibut special was a wonderful combination of bright rich flavors and still managed to be light. Prosciutto wrapped grilled asparagus - just yes.The halibut was just a trifle overcooked, but I'm rounding up from 4.5 stars.Friendly, capable service that was distributed amongst the crew because of a built-in 20% service charge policy, which usually leads to competent but not exceptional service.“
“Very good food - will definitely return. The communication was a little difficult on the phone, and the food in my take out bag was not exactly what I ordered. Then again, I didn't double check and they didn't charge me for anything different than what I actually got. So, that breaks even IMO. Will be back for sure.“
“I LOVE Mediterranean food and was so excited to try out Al Bacha in downtown Tacoma! My friends and I visited this Saturday and I ordered a lamb gyro. Let me tell you this was a top tier full flavor gyro. It was a huge portion of lamb, out of this world tziki, crisp lettuce, and all the vegetables. I also appreciated the drink case with every drink variety you can imagine. “I must say, this is one of the best experiences I've had at a restaurant in quite sometime. Upon entry me and my SO were greeted and asked if ee had any questions and to please reach out if so. After looking at the menu we went up to order, even before I could begin my 21 questions about how items are cooked Amanda immediately inquired if I was vegan or vegetarian from my order requested. Amanda was extremely knowledgeable and undeniably thoughtful to take the time out to inform me of how the food is made, cooked, and the ingredients on menu items ect... This came as a huge surprise as I always have to asked so many questions to the individual taking my order, considering I am vegan and do not consume ANY animal products. Amanda, went above and beyond to accommodate my needs with a gracious attitude. When we finally received our food, it was plentiful, and delicious. This has by far been the best service I have ever received at any establishment. I want to genuinely thank Amanda for her exceptional hospitality and thoughtfulness. Not to mention after we wrapped up she stopped me to suggest a few vegan restaurants, that cater to my dietary needs. I may say I do not take this lightly and am grateful for individuals like Amanda that display such care and compassion. “Had two Gyros served up fresh and hot. The ingredients were tasty and well portioned. It was not soaked in sauce, which i prefer, and could taste the meat was well seasoned and the bread held together to the end. Just enough fries are included with the meal to feel satisfied. I expect to return to try other offerings and would recommend the Gyros for sure. Keep in mind that this is not a chain and may vary slightly depending on time of visit, be kind.Kid-friendliness: The eating space is a court style seating area. I'm not sure if they have booster or high chairs available, i suspect not, but I've not asked for either.Parking: Lot wraps around building. Small section out front on S. Tacoma Way, most of the parking is around back off Short Park Street.Wheelchair accessibility: There are handicap spots in the front of the building along S. Tacoma Way.The whole of the building is on the ground floor and has ramped curbs. Some of the hallways may be cramped depending on the time of visit, but I had no trouble maneuvering using a cane.“
“Great menu with lots of options, both healthy and splurge options. We ordered the BBQ Brisket, the beef fajita, and the chicken pesto. All of them were served fresh and hot and were very tasty. For me it wasn't as big as I was expecting for the price, but still recommend trying it because it was yummy and filling. The staff were all very nice and super accommodating. The entire store was super clean, even the bathrooms! There were people dining but no line. We will definitely be back to try some falafel!!“
“Great restaurant for takeout! Gyro fries are my absolute favorite, along with any of the sandwiches. The fries have a bunch of feta on them, and sandwiches have a good amount of meat. Definitely worth the price, and even right now, I'm craving for more!“
