“We Love Ruby Brink! Burger night—say no more…! The beef dip sandwich on the lunch menu is another favorite. We love eating here for so many reasons though. This isn’t a “high staff turnover” type restaurant where you’ll be greeted by stressed out workers plastered with fake smiles fighting over tables like you might be used you. This is a grown-up establishment with grown-up food and grown-up and experienced, competent and empowered staff and I appreciate how this dynamic expressed itself in terms of guest experience. When I say that the food is grown-up I mean that it is carefully selected and prepared from scratch and this means it does not taste like what other restaurants are doing, which often is buying bags of frozen soup and sauces from the chef supply store to keep costs down and to keep everything tasting exactly the same, every time. You will taste different things here and that might surprise you. Ready yourself for that and enjoy!”

“Amazing wine and beautiful scenery! Our first time in Vashon and we decided to make a stop at Palouse which was an absolute pleasure. Wonderful host who was very attentive and had knowledgeable insight toward each wine that we tried. The flight is priced modestly and was certainly more than enough to have a chill time and enjoy the views from the back garden. Can’t wait to go back and visit!”

“Andrew Will makes some of the finest wines around. The winery iteself is beautifully tucked away in central Vashon. If you're coming for a visit, I'd suggest planning to do so in the late Spring or early Summer when the weather is more ideal. The owners are extremely nice and they are wonderful members of our community on Vashon. You can find their wines @ Thriftway!”

“We took a New Year’s eve day trip from Seattle. The barista treated us with warm and a generous spirit. Oh, and the oat cortado paired with their maple bun with bacon was “wow” level delicious.

Made me want to quit my job leave my belongings move to a mountainous region in china to finally begin my 10,000 hour dim mak temple training specifically to prepare me for the inevitable battle with the person responsible for roasting these coffee beans. That way I might stand half a chance to get hired as a barista.

When I was leaving the first visit the “owner” told me: “fill all the holes.. thousand points of light.. have a good day”

“Came across Pollard while Googling local, small coffee roasters, and I'm so happy I did! Definitely one of our favorite coffees, been getting Pollard for a while now and it has never disappointed 😄 We always get compliments back when we gift Pollard coffee and their customer service is awesome! Have fun with the custom blend option, it's a nice feature, especially when giving as a gift ☕”

“While their food was delicious, the service and care is indescribable! While I was out visiting Vashon around Thanksgiving, I had lost my wallet one night. My friend's mom even tried to go back and find it for me in the next couple of days, checking everywhere, and it unfortunately did not turn up. I received a surprise piece of mail later and O Sole Mio had shipped my wallet to my home address in Wisconsin after they found it. They of course did not have to do that and they went above and beyond! I fell in love with Vashon and the community and this is an example of why!”

“Visited here in September for the first time! Was absolutely delicious!!! Highly would recommend. Currently craving their grilled chicken teriyaki again 😍 Very spacious setting with a nice breeze during the Summer months with the garage open. Had a big selection of beers / wines to choose from as well. Street parking was a bit busy but to be expected. Staff was friendly and helpful! Can’t wait to be back!”

“I came in a few minutes after they opened and I was greeted with smiles! My server, Lillian, was very nice and the fish & chips were probably some of the best I've ever had (super crunchy and the slaw is yummy!). Will definitely be visiting here again when I pop back over to the island next time.”
