“We Love Ruby Brink! Burger night—say no more…! The beef dip sandwich on the lunch menu is another favorite. We love eating here for so many reasons though. This isn’t a “high staff turnover” type restaurant where you’ll be greeted by stressed out workers plastered with fake smiles fighting over tables like you might be used you. This is a grown-up establishment with grown-up food and grown-up and experienced, competent and empowered staff and I appreciate how this dynamic expressed itself in terms of guest experience. When I say that the food is grown-up I mean that it is carefully selected and prepared from scratch and this means it does not taste like what other restaurants are doing, which often is buying bags of frozen soup and sauces from the chef supply store to keep costs down and to keep everything tasting exactly the same, every time. You will taste different things here and that might surprise you. Ready yourself for that and enjoy!“

“This was our first time at the new Jak's location. The ambience was nice and the large booth tables, similar to the old location, give a bit of privacy yet are more comfortable. Food was good as always, but I really wanted to make a note of the service. I wish I had gotten the name of our server. He was wonderful! Jak's feels like casual fine dining. West Seattle loves you! “As someone else pointed out, the outside looks kinda sketch. But don’t let that fool you. Their double bacon is amazing. The burger is perfectly char broiled. I ordered the mozz sticks and had a greateat cheese pull.

My wife is raving about the crinkle cut fries, which are crispy on the outside, but fluffy on the inside, she also did her happy dance when she took the first bite of her burger.

The crispy chicken sandwich was fire. One of the best chicken Sammie’s I’ve had.

The staff are super friendly and the food comes out fast and hot. Don’t sleep on this place or you’ll regret it“

I'm not sure if mom and pop have any employees, I've only seen what I assume is a husband and wife duo knocking out some delicious food.
If the sun is out and/or it's the weekend, it's probably going to be busy, otherwise food comes out fairly quick. If I don't stop for a bite, I'll usually grab a cone and a coke.“

“What an incredibly unique dining experience! The Derby and The Shop offers something you won’t find anywhere else in Seattle - the chance to dine surrounded by classic cars in their storage area. We hosted a private party here and were blown away by both the atmosphere and the food.

“This place is really fun! The 50s decor is really cool and they have a jukebox you can select songs for right at your booth. Food is very tasty. I have noticed a lot of turnover though (I live nearby), which is a little concerning. Overall I definitely recommend it, especially if you can go in on a weekday morning when it's less busy. On weekends there is very reasonably a bit of a wait.“
