“Great stay at Edgefield. I think the negative reviews are expecting this place to be something it’s not. But if you know what you’re getting into (a three-star hotel) going into it, then it easily fits that bill and goes above it. The food? Average. The bedrooms? Average. The soaking pool, proximity to the gorge, and uniqueness? Way above average. It’s a great, quirky, casual resort. Nothing more. Nothing less.“

“Drinks, food and service is always great! I’ve grown accustomed to driving to Camas for dinner or catching the bus over for a drink from Curt the bartender. My favorites are the weekly sandwich specials since I’m usually there for dinner, Brussel Sprouts and the wings. For drinks, the old fashioned and sometimes the whiskey sour when I don’t drive myself.

Kid-friendliness: Our kiddo was at a slumber party this time but other kids were there with their families and the staff were accommodating, friendly, and happy to see them.“

“Edgefield is probably McMenamins biggest properties. It has a distillery, winery and brewery onsite. The food is pretty good at the various restuarants on property. Its mostly burgers/sandwhiches but done well. They also a small golf course, soaking pools, movie theater and pool hall. All of the alcohol is made onsite and has an extra element of locally produced to it. I recommend getting your McMenamins passport and taking advantage of the perks.“
