“If it’s aesthetics in a beautiful location you’re searching for then McMenamin’s Rock Creek Tavern has it all. One of my very favorite locations for several personal reasons but this two story gem located in the heart of rolling hills and dotted forests just off of Hwy 26 will captivate you. They weekly offer live music for free, an upstairs pool table and shuffleboard and dining on a balcony, full bar, indoor rock fireplace and cozy corner window seating, out door dining patio with wood burning fire pits and string lights. “Love this brewery! Staff are friendly, the beer is absolutely top notch, place is small but cozy and inviting! Generally have some excellent shanties playing and a dart board in the corner...taste of Irish, anyone?! Brewer does a phenomenal scotch ale, and the Meanderin' Mandarin Pale Ale is delicious. “We went for the Wassail Cider Fest for the first time and it was energetic! The band performance was something I'd never seen before and hosting it in their barn really added to the experience. They had a great cider selection from a very wide variety of vendors. It was very crowded and difficult to move around at times due to the high volume of traffic. The parking lot was full so we parked nearby at the Fred Meyer and walked which was to be expected. We got food from their restaurant after and besides a slightly burnt pattie on one of our burgers, they do a good job. And service is always great. Overall we had a great time! Spending per person includes our event tickets which was $48 per person.“

“I Feel like I’m betraying my home by rating McMenamins lower than five stars. It’s a Northwest staple, but the truth is it’s hard to recommend without passing along the caveat that the service can be very slow.

The last two times I’ve been here, it took between 40 and 90 minutes to get my food after ordering it. The ambience, atmosphere, and nature help distract you from the wait, and that’s why you’re going to McMenamins in the first place, isn’t it?“
