“Excellent service and food was good. Accommodated gluten free needs. Had gluten free buns for burgers and sandwhiches however not a celiac kitchen so cross contamination can occur per staff. Portions large. Quick service. Offered gluten free cider and seltzer.“

“Pixan? More like sheeeeeshan am I right. That burrito is phenomenal. Similar to just about any Christopher Nolan film but especially reminiscent of dunkirk, a personal favorite of mine.
There’s this scene where tom hardy is speaking all British and flying a fighter plane and it’s really great and exciting. Way more chill than the scene where the boat is sinking. That was stressful.
Nothing stressful about pixan tho, super chill vibes and great food. Nothing like a Nolan film really. Table salsa is spicy.“

“We came for lunch, so it was sandwiches. The family had 3 different ones. All very tasty. Then we had blackberry danish and poppyseed cake for dessert. The desserts were rich and I don’t think anyone could clock them as vegan for whatever that’s worth. And the sandwiches were very flavorful on house made bread. Highly recommend!“

“Soup is delicious. My family really enjoyed our meal here. I have celiac and can only eat GF which made it a bit tricky.
The soup was very tasty, but I’d be cautious if you have celiac. I explained that I have celiac and ordered the shio ramen with GF rice noodles. I was assured everything was GF, but before eating I learned the GF noodles were cooked in the same water as the regular ramen. They remade it and the manager confirmed the soup was GF, but I was still unsure about some ingredients, so I only ate the noodles, chicken, and broth. Thankfully, I had no symptoms, but the experience was stressful.“

“Pine Street Bakery ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ On 9/15/22, I stopped in Hood River, Oregon to check out Pine Street Bakery. Owner Megan Davis’s mother started Grand Central Bakery in Seattle, Washington in 1972. Today, there are 11 locations between Portland and Seattle. If you ever have an opportunity to visit a Grand Central Bakery/Café, I recommend it. I wanted to try one of their famous Cardamom Knots, which are Challah dough slathered in Vanilla Butter, covered in Cardamom Sugar and tied in a Knot. Unfortunately, they were out. I got a Carrot Cake cupcake ($5), which is one of their best sellers, as well as a Maddie Cake cupcake ($5). The Maddie Cake cupcake is a seasonal cupcake that changes with some regularity. The current Maddie Cake cupcake is Peaches & Cream. It is Vanilla cake filled with Peach compote made from local peaches, topped with a Vanilla Swiss Meringue Butter cream frosting. I enjoyed both cupcakes but my favorite of the two was the Maddie Cupcake because it was so unique. There was a generous amount of peach compote in the center of the cupcake, as well as on top. The compote had great flavor. Both cupcakes were fairly dense but moist. In addition to the baked goods and breads, Pine Street Bakery has Breakfast, Lunch, and Coffee menus, as well as specials. They also sell a lot of other products and fresh flowers. Highly Recommended!!!“

“On our way back to Pendleton from Portland, we stopped to charge our car. Then walked over to Solstice Wood Fire Pizza for dinner. We decided to order the BLBB pizza, a hot Kenyan Grey tea, and a huckleberry organic lemonade. Our server Brad N did an awesome job making our dining experience a real treat.“

Pro-tip: if you make a reservation on Open Table, make sure you double-check the location. The Hood River team were SO understanding and accommodating to our mix-up. And we got to grab beers and check out their merch shop while we waited for seats!
We especially love the veggie burger (the cherry jam on it is killer) and the vegan Mac (love the pickled peppers, really makes it pop).“

I miss when the cohen brothers made movies together. Similar to how I’ll miss freshies bc I live a few hours drive away.
Similar to george Clooneys character, Ulysses Everett McGill, I too might need to go on an odyssey adjacent adventure to reclaim family, self and bagels.

“Best food in Hood River! And right up there with the top restaurants in Portland, as well. Tasty seafood options, steaks, pasta. Good variety, focusing on quality over quantity. Beautiful presentation. Desserts are top notch and in appropriate proportions. Having been here many times over the years, we drove an hour from Portland just for dinner on a beautiful day. The views from the deck are wonderful!“

“I ordered the Thai Chicken. They will ask you what level of heat you want. I get Thai hot, I'm not real sensitive to spicy food. It was delicious and comes with brown rice, decent portions and pair it with Thai tea and you'll have a delicious meal. I would highly recommend this place.“

“We travel here frequently from the Vancouver area because it is the best coffee and atmosphere in the around! We love that they have toys for our toddler to enjoy while we relax and love the artful, delicious lattes and gluten free mochi! We highly recommend stopping in, it is worth the trip!“
