“J Brookwalter stood out for my little wine tasting friends for a few reasons. While the ambiance is fairly basic and nothing of great note the service and the wine was delightful. I very much appreciated that we had options here. I opted for the Readers Tasting while my friends tried the Luxury Tasting. They very much enjoyed their wines trading tasting notes and discussing flavors. The staff here was very engaging. They told us the history, the grapes, the vineyard. They told us stories and asked us where we had gone. It was a very welcoming environment which I thoroughly enjoyed.“

“Jim was a great curator of our tasting experience. A very reasonable $10 fee allowed us to taste two recent wines and three wines from his library that were great. I find that almost every other tasting room has wines exclusively from their recent vintages, and many just taste too young (whether it be too tannic or just too bright/fruit-forward). But tasting a few wines that had spent some years in the bottle gave them a level of complexity and approachability that were a cut above most other wineries. Walked away with a few nice bottles to savor at home.“
“I went to the new tasting room at Brian, Carter and was very impressed with the whole experience. The tasting room was beautifully, and the wine and food pairings blew me away. Brian Carter does an amazing job creating delicious wines inspired by from around the world. He has been making wine since the 1970s, and draws many of his inspirations from Old World blends. The tasting room's newest chef, Nicholas Ames, has created the most delicious dishes that are beautifully plated. The Chanterelle-Oyster Mushroom Toast is delicious and pairs perfectly with the Roussanne. The Charred Broccolini might be my favorite item on the menu, with its toasted shallots and white balsamic emulsion - YUM. The 2020 Byzance was my favorite wine - it was smooth and complex, will only get better with age, and is perfect with the Red Wine Risotto, which is so flavorful and yummy - my husband loved it too. Also be sure to save room for dessert. The Opulente port is phenomenal, made even better by the chocolate mousse. I would highly recommend Brian Carter to any winos who love good food, foodies who love good wine, and anyone else looking for a great date night!“

“Just got back from wine tastings in Woodinville. I came across this winery as I am in love with reds! It did not disappoint! I tried about five reds and they were all excellent choices. The server Janine was great at what she did and I hope Terry the owner congratulated her. I will return after Xmas to try the rest.“

The wines were very good and if you go just follow the road all the way back because I got lost trying to find it on maps but if you go to the very end of the road it's there to the left. But it’s a very fun group of staff and overall the wines are good. I found a couple to take home with me.“
“We found this tasting room through the 2021 wine passport and instantly fell in love with the Spanish style varietals. Allison and Randy were great in explaining each tasting we were having. My wife and I, along with another couple we were with decides to join the wine club that day. We always enjoy coming back for an event and/or tasting.“

“Came here on vacation and glad we stumbled across it. The wine names are based on hiking trails and Rae was very knowledgeable about the area, wine, and hiking. We really enjoyed the conversations we had with her. The rosé is not a typical rosé but absolutely delicious. You can 100% tell that the owner has a passion for hiking, wine making and sharing her love with others.“

“I've been a wine club member at Lachini Vineyards in Woodinville for some time now, and I have to say, it's always a pleasure visiting. The staff here are consistently friendly and knowledgeable, making each trip both enjoyable and fun.One of the things I appreciate most is the genuine warmth of the team. They're always friendly and you can tell they really enjoy what they do. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, perfect for a leisurely afternoon of wine tasting.The wines themselves are definitely worth mentioning. Whether you prefer reds, whites, or something in between, there's a good chance you'll find something that suits your palate. I've discovered quite a few favorites over my visits (including many pinot noirs, to which I am usually not a fan), and the quality is always top-notch.The winery's cozy setting and friendly faces make it a place I look forward to visiting again and again. “Only tasting room that we have remained members of in this area. We had several other memberships at other tasting rooms, that over the years the wine has declined. We dropped all of them except Obelisco. Consistent quality in wines, cab forward which we love, almost all Reds, right up my alley. The tasting room stays open later than most in this area too, the attendants are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. We love their wines and chilling at their tasting room patio on a warm sunny day.“
