“Best spot for wine, the owner is extremely nice. First time in WA where the person who grew the grapes, made the wine, poured the wine, explained and broke down the wine. This really helped me understand tasting it, as he was very honest, as I'm usually very picky. I love sweet wines, from when my husband was stationed near Temecula. His wines were the first ones I truly appreciated on a deeper level. In Cali you want a dark red sweet wine, here you want something crisp, refreshing like the breeze. The taste of his wine literally grounds you to Earth, and the elements around you, captivating and capturing it all in a bottle. This is very hard to do, to embed a flavor into someone's memory. Every other winery around has the excuse of it not being hot enough for sweet wine, causing an awful bitter wine. His is the only wine I've found in WA and OR, that has grabbed the natural tannins from its surroundings, and truly embraced them in a hug of flavors. Without using his surroundings as an excuse, he's fully mastered his environment, on the contrary to other wineries, who will literally apologize that it's not grown in California, and that's why it's "not as good". I believe any wine can be good, as long as it compliments its surroundings.“

“One of my FAVORITE things I did in Seattle! Bainbridge Vinyards is the only winery on the island that grows all its own grapes, and grows them all on the island! The tasting fee is only$18 for 4 tastings. We shared one, and the man pouring was so friendly and gave us a smidge more each pour because we shared. It worked and we obvs ended up buying more glasses, lol. The tasting takes you through some really unique wines. They offer snacks too, and allow you to bring your own. You sit on the patio or can even move closer to the vines and eat amongst the grapes! If I lived here I would come here every weekend. It was so peaceful and idyllic. It should be noted, do not be fooled by the bus route which seems like it will take you close enough you can walk. The bus in Bainbridge is impossible, did not come when it was supposed to, and we luckily got an uber (I guess there are only a few on the island, so don't depend on uber). During the drive, I realized how treacherous walking from the bus stop would've been! Do not rely on public transportation or uber to get you here! Rent a car or call a car service if you are from out of town!!“

“I would visit this location again for sure. Purchasing in store and meeting their very friendly professional staff is much better than ordering online. Thanks to Alphonse, Tim & co. I will see you again for another great wine tasting next time we're in the area“

“My wife and I came here on a Thursday afternoon and we had an incredible experience. This was our first time visiting the Bainbridge/Seattle area. We aren’t wine experts by any stretch and we had the most interesting educational and intimate wine tasting led by Chong who we couldn’t say enough positive things about. He is amazing! Every single wine was delicious and we even had a behind the scenes look at wine “punching” demonstrated by cellar master Bryce! We would highly recommend stopping by for anyone interested in visiting the Bainbridge/Seattle area!“

Eleven Winery Wineries •

“This is by far the best winery on Bainbridge Island and anywhere close. We love the wine, atmosphere, and especially the people. Alana, Armathia, and Forrest are some of the friendliest, funniest, and most welcoming people you'd be lucky enough to meet at a tasting room. We also just learned that the founder Matt is considered the Mouvedre King of Washington! They make amazing wines and are so welcoming!“

“Absolutely loved this place. Staff is exceptional and the wines are interesting and wonderful. Some of the wines I LOVED while other weren't my taste, but I appreciated each one's character and the tasting room staff knew a ton about them. I work in the bev industry and I really appreciated everything about this tasting experience! Cozy and cute — wine country tasting room vibes in the heart of the Junction. So happy I stopped in, I'm about to become a regular.“

“A surprisingly high ABV on their blends- be warned to sip! You may be able to tell I’m not a super wine snob. It has a very welcoming neighborhood feel, thoughtful interior that shows a lot of character in a time when most new businesses all look the same. I’m for sure coming back!“

Welcome Road Winery Winery •

“This place is fun! Right now they are taking hour-long reservations on their patio and there's plenty of heaters to go around and tables are nicely spaced apart. The wine we tasted was mostly red blends, all were very good. Very reasonably priced, and the staffer did a great job explaining the wines and making it a fun experience. We even joined the wine club - which we never do after only one time at a winery. And it's a big plus that it's one of the only wineries on West Seattle Island. We used to be regulars at a few wineries in Georgetown/SoDo - that's hard now.“
