“This brewery is located inside an industrial area. It's spacious from the inside with a nice outdoor patio. The bartender was very friendly and offered samples of some of the beers we wanted to try. Had a pint of the Red Mason Rye which was a really good Red Ale. If I'm in the area, I would come back to try the Blackjacket.“

“I have wanted to go here for the longest time, always pass by and just never stopped. Today we decided to stop by and I have to say, I have never been more satisfied with a cinnamon roll.

The OG was so soft, warm, and not dry at all like other cinnamon rolls typically are. These are definitely shareable sizes. Hands down the best cinnamon roll I have ever had.

“Some of the best wine I have ever had. We went to the Taste event last weekend in downtown Seattle and Lobo Hills was the only wine we tasted that stuck out. We came here the next weekend to the tasting room in Woodinville and did a full tasting and bought two bottles. The rattlesnake hills Grenache and the Carmenere—both incredible! Thank you to Diana, Kim and Pat who served us at the tasting room. What a wonderful experience!“

“This restaurant is only for those who want a full dining experience and aren't afraid of spending the money. The service was absolutely impeccable. If anyone leaves the table, the service replaces your napkin and the table isn't served the next course of food until everyone is reseated. The food was above and beyond fabulous and every one of the staff was attentive, professional, and respectful. This is a dining experience restaurant. Service was a 9 course meal and lasted ~4 hours. Chef Chris was an active participant of the service and introduced all the food with explaining the local origins and preparation. One of the most amazing dining experiences we've had.“

“THE place to stop when you are in Woodinville! A darling tasting room and a staff that is just salt of the earth and genuinely cares about the people that walk through their door as well as their amazing wine. “We were staying in Chelan on a camping trip and wanted to spend an afternoon wine tasting. We chose this winery over several others because of the beautiful views, and we’re so glad we did!

If you look at my photos, you’ll see just how breathtaking the scenery is. As an added bonus, there was live music while we were there. The musician was incredibly talented and made the experience even more enjoyable.

The wine was delicious, and the staff was welcoming, friendly, and attentive. During our visit, a fire broke out over the ridge. Thankfully, a local guest was able to share updates and reassure everyone that the fire was moving away from the area and that we were not in any danger. The staff handled the situation calmly and professionally, allowing everyone to continue enjoying their visit.

We ended up staying for a couple of hours because the atmosphere was so relaxing. After visiting another winery in the area, we can confidently say this one stood out for its incredible views, wonderful wine, live entertainment, and exceptional hospitality. We highly recommend making this winery a stop during your visit to Chelan!“

“We recently hosted a fundraising event at J. Bookwalter and had an incredible experience from start to finish. John, the manager, was fantastic in the lead-up — always quick to answer our questions and even on hand the night of the event to help with small tweaks that kept everything running smoothly. Jessica and her fellow wine steward were amazing during the event itself, handling all the inevitable chaos with calm professionalism and even helping with on-the-spot decision making.

The space was beautiful, the team was outstanding, and they made hosting an event there truly seamless. We can’t recommend J. Bookwalter enough for anyone looking to rent a venue for a special event.“

“Our visit to the winery was excellent! The wine tasting was curated to us personally. The wine is superb - smooth and exquisitely drinkable, fruit forward flavors. I don’t love Merlots - I loved theirs.

This bottle is a 2014 blend, and it is approachable, bold, smooth and highly recommended by us! I pick up raspberry, vanilla notes, more of a blackberry and vanilla flavor. “Kristina was amazing! She made our visit so much fun and was super friendly and easy to talk to. She was knowledgeable about all the wines and made the whole experience feel relaxed and welcoming.

She also helped us sign up for the wine club and made the process really easy. She took the time to explain the membership benefits, answered all of our questions, and never made us feel pressured. You can tell she genuinely cares about making sure her guests have a great experience.

We're so glad we got to meet her and will definitely be back. Thanks, Kristina, for such a great visit!

“This place felt comfortable and familial. The person pouring wine was passionate and knowledgeable, and a delight to talk to. The sailing theme is cute and not over-the-top. The best wines were quite expensive but also very good, and still had strong tannins after 9 years. The base wines are reasonably priced and very quaffable.“

“Been coming here for years. It's the only tasting room I've had after parties at. Because the staff is so cool. Especially Donnie. He's cool as hell. Fun, funny, great host. Oh the wines. Their red mountain wines are fabulous. And good value for the dollar. Red mountain has the best red grapes in the state, maybe the country. Highly recommend. Also visit the Richland room if you're ever in tri cities.“

Our waiter was Andrew and he also attended to us promptly and was kind from the start.My wife had the Nutella crepes and biscuits with peppered gravy. She rarely will finish her serving but did this time. (I helped with a biscuit) I had the lumberjack omelette with Pelican special potatoes. I’ll say one thing about the food. We’ve been here 6 months and that’s the best meal I’ve had including 3 of the local steakhouse’s. We will return, and my wife left a generous tip! Kudos to the chef.“

While walking away from my dead car I realized I was in the parking lot of locust cider! Tatum made my day!!! She was kind and patient and very beautiful (inside and out!). “EDIT*** Manager reached out and discussed the issues. I am happy with the resolution. I want to preface this review by stating we paid close to $700 a night and stayed in a king suite with courtyard view. We have stayed at many luxury boutique hotels in the pnw and this has not been our favorite by a long shot. The first night we had dinner at the Fireside lounge. Great atmosphere but as soon as we ordered our drinks with dinner the waitress asked us for our card to hold on file. We felt it was a little odd as we have never been asked for a card up front at any restaurant we have ever eaten at. The beds and pillows were very stiff. The 2 nights we stayed there we woke up sore and not well rested as well as paying extra for the courtyard view which was nice but it was rather noisy. We are 39 and are younger with kids but could hear everything outside and in the hall. The second day we went to the hot tub but was not told they do not have changing rooms avail to those that are not getting a treatment. I had to put my clothes and shoes outside in the rain and my husband couldn't use the sauna because he needed to walk our clothes back to the room. The person at the desk stated lockers were only for guests with treatments. This would have been nice to know. We were not impressed with this boutique hotel. The price was high and the treatment from the staff made us feel not welcome. My husband was asked by the hotel staff if we were even guests when he went to the hot tub! I am just completely in shock comparing to other places we have stayed and paying close to $1500 the rooms are about double what they should be.“

“Rachel, Tiana, and Brandon were all phenomenal servers, hosts, bartenders, and all around great human beings.

The food and beer are the best I’ve had in ages, and I don’t mean to sit on a high horse, but I cook a lot and eat out frequently, the BBQ brisket fries might be my favorite thing in the world right now. Perfect balance of heat and flavor. Hats off to the cooks, whatever their names.

I brought my dog, we sat outside, Rachel got us seated right away, Tiana brought him a water bowl, and Brandon brought my my food. They all greeted my dog, Bodhi, and called him a “good boy” (which is being generous, but lowkey he was on his best behavior).

I want to carry their beer at the grocery store I work at, that’s how good of an impression the staff here had on me. I’m emailing the GM as soon as I get back to work on Tuesday.

AND, and. As an added bonus, they never did that obnoxious thing where the server comes by in the middle of a bite to ask how everything is. They just know their food is bangin.

I will be back, no question. For any Seattle friends: This is worth a ride on the light rail to Shoreline South, then take the 522 to 139th, then a brief walk up an easy hill (and I’m fat, so for someone in reasonable shape it’s probably nothing).

THIS IS A MUST TRY FOR ANYONE WHO LIKES GOOD FOOD, GOOD BEER, and GREAT SERVICE.
