“I live about 25 mins north of here. Have had a few good fish fries here. This evening my Grandma and I went for steak, since we’ve both heard good things. We are pretty picky with steak, and we were not disappointed with our visit! Best steak we have had in a long time. Id even say it’s the best in the area. Would 100% recommend to anyone. Steak was close to fork tender, with amazing flavor! Will be back soon!“
“Look... I love my food and can eat my fair share of just about anything but nothing prepared me for the kastaway burger. The burger is massive and flavorful. I honestly could only finish half and I was struggling a 1/4 of the way through. it's worth every penny. Food was fresh: well packaged for being a to-go order and customer service was stellar. we also got the boneless wings which are huge. Definitely will be a frequent place we order.“
“Found this little, vintage gem on Yelp. In all of our 40+ years of coming up to the Northwoods as adults, we never had heard of this diner and yet it has been around since 1945 and claims to be the oldest family-run diner/cafe in Wisconsin. Once I read the history of Dixie Lunch I knew we needed to be part of the history too! It is a no frills diner but don’t let the lack of modern and new prevent you from checking out this downtown Antigo staple. The specials will draw you in and the classics will keep you coming back. My husband ordered the Tuesday Special of Jaeger Schnitzel w/mashed potatoes & gravy and red cabbage. He said it was some of the best he had ever tasted. I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger and homemade fries. It was delicious! Bacon was a little thicker than most other establishments use and it was crispy, just like I like it. The burger was juicy and the combination made it one of the best I have had in a long time. We finished our lunch off by sharing a slice of homemade lemon meringue pie…oh my goodness…YUM!!! We will be back!“
“Kid-friendliness: The kids scoopie meal is my go to. Get a single butterburger add cheese, lettuce and pickles, get fries a Dr Pepper and the scoop of the day for under $7. Don’t like the scoop of the day save the coupon and spend it on a day when the flavor is your favorite. Also collect 10 of the scoopie tokens on the back of the kids meal bag and you can get free stuff like a frisbee, shirt or a free meal.“
“Enjoyed their anytime breakfast on my evening visit. The Denver omelet was very fluffy, filled with generous amounts of diced ham, green peppers and chopped onions. It was paired with perfectly prepared American fries and pancakes instead of toast. A very good meal for about 14 bucks, including tip.“
“Would recommend as the best place to eat in town! Lately, as a foodie I was becoming disheartened by restaurant food. I've been only going to diners these past few months and they really weren't the greatest. This place is different! I think they've made the best omelette I've ever had at a restaurant. They use good meat and don't cheap out. They have really good bacon. I ordered an omelette with green peppers, onions, bacon and American cheese. Their toast tastes different too in a good way. My dad had the chicken breast sandwich and it didn't taste fatty at all.“
“They catered a funeral in 2022 and it was nothing short of OUTSTANDING!!! EXCELLENT food and PLENTY for all! There was enough leftover it took almost a week to get thru! EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT!!!! In 2018 it was chosen to use the northside bowling alley for another funeral gathering and it SUCKED! Unless things have changed in a year you won't be disappointed choosing 5th Ave for your needs!“

“If you are planning on spending your hard earned cash at one of the chain fast food joints… be smart and stop here. $7 gets you a 1/4 pound Chicago dog with fries made fresh! Forget the national chains and support a local business! The Chicago dog was delicious!“
