Burger Restaurants near Big Bend

“We were starving and nothing was open. Pouring rain, cold and hungry. Three things that do not go together well. I must admit McDonalds is a last resort for food. I won’t go into that, but when you’re hungry anything does.

At 12:30 in the morning it’s drive through only. When we arrived there were a ton of people jammed into two lanes. Here’s where the five star overall rating comes in. The lines moved fast, the order was accurate, and the most importantly, the kids working were friendly and efficient. We received our food fast, hot, and well, it’s McDonalds. What else can you say. They scored on the important stuff and that’s all that matters. I’d recommend this location l, which sits across from State Fair Park as long as the service remains top notch and the lines move.“

“Had a cheeseburger and fries plus classic Bloody Mary which was pretty good Plate burger and fries came on was too small so juice from pickles kinda saturated the bun. Ordered medium done for meat but pretty much raw. Maybe that was my fault and should of ordered med well? Liked the fries a lot as not too salty. Service was GREAT! Somehow my wallet came out of my pants pocket and must've fell on chair seat. When we'd left, server tried tracking us down but we were already on our way. I realized it wasn't on me when I got home so called. They had retrieved it and put it in a safe place until my son picked it up the next am. Honesty and integrity those workers have there. God bless them! ❤“

“Food was tasty, service was friendly. I bought a pint of frozen custard to go, along with a 4 pack of cinnamon rolls. Cinnamon rolls were excellent!!“

“Let me tell you about our Badger Burger. We are frequent guests here and always have great service and fantastic food. Well, my 7 yr old daughter who is a very picky eater selected badger burger for her birthday dinner bc they have her “favorite” - good ol kraft Mac n cheese. She even planned to order not 1 but 2 orders for her special day. We arrived, Mallory was our amazing waitress and ordered our food and drinks right away. The food comes out and they recently switched to a delicious, home made, white cheddar Mac…not Kraft. Normally not a big deal but it’s a 7 yr old’s bday dinner..so needless to say she tried so hard to keep it together and be OK with not what she expected (disregard the fact that she’s a picky eater and were totally catering to her on this day..no judgement!) anyway, Mallory quickly realized the issue and we asked about the Kraft. There’s none, they switched. This is where it goes ABOVE and BEYOND - Mallory apologized and brought out the chocolate bday cake! THEN she literally ran to Walgreens to get this sweet little spring child a box of Kraft, complete with a bow and a little keychain stuffy to make up for this. This is not the kind of service you get anywhere. But something our local BB does and we love them for it!!“

“My husband and I haven’t had Webb’s in more than a few years after moving out of the area. We found ourselves in Milwaukee and noticed this location was one that was open so we took the little drive out to sunny slope. Monica was our waitress and she was absolutely amazing every step of the way. She introduced herself by name right away, shared all of the soups and specials with us, engaged with us while we ate, offered us dessert, and more all while working with other tables. I was very impressed by her and was super grateful for this experience at a Webb’s again after many years. The burgers were great, as usual, and so was the soup. Thank you, Monica and George Webb for a great night!“

“Just a PSA - I am normally a vanilla based ice cream flavor type of gal. Tonight my husband got the Flavor of the Day - Dark Chocolate PB Crunch. It was the most delicious custard I have ever had. I will go there every single time I see that flavor.“

“Went for the Friday fish fry with the family. As most places it was busy around dinner time on a Friday (30 minute wait). A young lady pointed us over to the hostess table which is on the opposite wall of the entrance. Once seated server was there almost instantly. Drink and appetizer order was taken immediately. Wisconsin cheese curds were light and stringy, our boys loved them. Chicken wings were good, crispy where sauce wasn’t applied, think I might actually like them better this way. Grilled shrimp was ordered by a few of the family and they were large compared to most other places. Red potatoes were soft and well seasoned. Baked Cod fish fry was great, potato pancakes were also softer and not greasy. Will be returning again.“

“3/22/26 Sunday evening, the crew at DQ was excellent. VERY PATIENT AND CALM AND IN CONTROL. Food was fresh and it looked just like the pictures. Didnt even have to check the bag, cause they reassured us that it was all there. ONION RINGS ARE THE BEST“

“Great food and friendly service! They generously provided a free Red, White and Blue pancake combo for veterans today. It was excellent! It included eggs, sausage or bacon, hash browns and pancakes with whipped cream, blueberries and strawberries. Thank you, IHOP, for honoring our veterans.“

“In this age of understaffed restaurants with poor food this Dairy Queen is knocking it out of the park. The food was fantastic and the staff even better. From the dining room you could see the staff and they were working their butts off moving food and ice cream at an unbelievable pace.“
