“Tried this place a few weeks ago on DoorDash for a lazy start to the day. The food arrived hot and was delicious. Decided to check them out in person the following week. The croissant breakfast sandwich was delicious. The breakfast burrito was more pressed like a panini this time around. When we ordered to go, it looked more burrito. Both versions were good, just a bit surprised with the pressed one. The inside very gives coffee shop vibes. You order at the counter and your food is brought to you. There were a number of to go orders being picked up while we there. Would definitely order to go or visit again.“
“From the moment you walk through their corner shop door, you feel like you've entered a familiar and comfortable place. The service and atmosphere are just what you want out of a local coffee shop. Andy and Anya were super friendly and conversive. And she makes a fantastic cortado! The Cream City Brick and the nods to the local hometown make you feel like you've entered something truly Milwaukee. The coffee is great; it's now one of my Go-Tos anytime I'm in the area. What a great discovery this morning! Apparently, it only took me 20 years to fnd it! Happy 20th!“
“Delicious, inviting, and bright atmosphere inside. You’ll be craving your meal the next day! The crêpes are filling, especially the savory ones. Try their amazing earl grey and blackberry scone, too! And they make an amazing mix of coffee drinks as well. Can’t wait to come back and see the seasonal menu changes!Dietary restrictions: Separate Vegan crêpe section“
“Every trip to Mad Rooster is excellent. I may get loud for some people, but that is because everyone enjoys themselves there. The food quality and preparation is top notch, and they hosts and servers are always helpful and pleasant. Come early or be prepared to wait, and the parking lot is limited, but there is an adjacent lot very close by. The Mad Style Yogurt is a signature of there’s in my opinion, and I always enjoy the savory selections. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! The food was heavenly and is a perfect choice for vegans (full vegan menu). Even if you aren't vegan you will still enjoy the food here! The ambiance is very modern and trendy and definitely has a bright and light feel to it. The space is a little small but thats not much of a negative since it prevents the space from getting over crowded. The wait staff was very friendly and had excellent recommendations for the dishes. Definitely try the veggie breakfast burrito, the flavors meshed together very well and was expertly prepared. Also the lavender London fog was amazing! It had that nice cerebral feel that you get after having an expertly crafted cup of tea which allowed me to unwind after a difficult night. Thank you for giving me a comfortable space to unwind and enjoy a meal with friends!Vegetarian options: Full vegan menu“
“Super cute place with a warm and welcoming environment. You can tell the owner is a very dedicated and caring soul. The food options are wonderful and all taste amazing and their presentation is beautiful. I have to gatekeep my favorite item because it’s only available on weekends but I think about it all week LOL.The Italian bread is amazingTarts are fabulous as wellCupcakes are to die forAll in all, best little cafe in the area. 10/10“
“I got a naan melt, and now I’m wondering why I waited so long to try Indian food. If you’re new to Indian food and don’t know what to get the workers are happy to help you out. Great food, excellent service, clean restaurant! Highly recommend stopping by!!!“
“My go to is usually a almond chai or Jolly Green Jenny, a single maple-syrup laced crepe and a side of tofu scramble. Together they satisfy all my sweet salty and savory cravings with a comforting hot beverage. It’s always civilized in there, everyone keeping their voices to a mellow decibel and the greenery all over in the living walls is over the top beautiful. In the summertime it’s gorgeous outside. Michael and his staff are always hospitable and polite and you feel like they’re family taking care of you. It’s a terrific little gem tucked away in a sweet spot. Go there for healthy ish eats but mostly go because it feeds your soul.“
“I tried 2 tasty warm items today a feta and spinach pastry and a chicken croquette. I would say these are some of the tastiest things I have tried in a long time. Flaky pastry with a buttery taste and a croquette with the chicken that was so flavorful! What a lovely place. They also offered other warm items, pastries and a lovely seating area and free internet. I will come again. Perfect for coffee, small groups, families or to do work on the computer.“
“Top burger spot in Milwaukee. I had the crave burger with a small fry. Very flavorful, the bun was incredible, and the fries were crisp. Service was quick and great. The cafe has 3 tables with chairs inside and a patio. Definitely more of a carry out spot, but wouldn't mind staying to eat if I had a small party.“
“Took myself out to breakfast for my birthday and I had to check out the all vegan cafe! I have been vegan for 7 years now and I have never found anything like this! I had a veggie scrambler and mango tango fusion smoothie and both items were so good! And then they brought me a slice of vegan chocolate cake for my birthday dessert. It was the sweetest and kindest gesture. I can’t wait to come back!“
“We are from Indiana and go to Comet Cafe every time we visit our son in Milwaukee. We went twice this time. Love the food and the atmosphere. Nothing fancy but it's clean and the staff are really nice. Lots of delicious vegetarian and vegan options too. The Vegan Biscuits and Gravy and the Tofu Scramble are my favorite. The biscuits are delicious and the Tofu Scramble has lots of veggies and vegan sausage. Highly recommend“
“Root Beer Chai! This is one of the specials and it was so good. I forgot to take a photo until I was home and it was gone. Subtle, balanced flavors. I added soy milk and I recommend iced. Some merch available and cute seating nearby. Highly recommend. Thank you!“
“Coffee shop with industrial flair & amazing vibe, particularly well-suited to coworking & remote work. There are plenty of power outlets built into the tables, as well as enclosed *pods* for when you need to have that quiet space for a call or a break. Friendly staff & inviting atmosphere. Oh yeah, and great coffee too! I’ll def be back!“
“What a lovely coffee oasis in Milwaukee's lower east side. Stopped by here on a Saturday morning for bites and the hope of an espresso drink. Since it's winter, their seating options are somewhat limited, but we were able to get a hightop table (right near the heater no less!). I ordered a caramel mocha made with almond milk. What a lovely beverage. Their espresso is clean and smooth and of the highest quality. Neither the chocolate nor caramel were overly sweet--it was delicious. I got their M40 commuter breakfast sandwich. It comes with egg, sausage, smoked ham, pepper jack cheese, and house made cheese sauce on a toasted english muffin. I had them nix the ham and swapped out the pepper jack for cheddar. I think the house made cheese sauce must be pepper jack based as they didn't add that either (no biggie). It made for a basic but tasty breakfast sandwich. Their space is amazing for summer with plenty of outdoor and indoor/outdoor seating. I can't wait to come back in the warmer months. The only slightly bizarre thing is there is also a Nomad bar on the corner (about half a block away). I'm sure it's part of the same biz but is definitely separate. We wandered in there looking for coffee (our mistake). So, if you find yourself in a bar, exit and go down the block/side street a bit and you'll find it! Get to it!“
“I’ve frequented this establishment the since the early 2000’s. They have consistently had a great atmosphere and staff. I saw another review that said they have the best chai tea latte and they are not wrong. Interesting adult menu, I can’t wait to come back and try.“
“Came here for a quick stop on our way to Port Washington. The food was excellent and the variety of pastries just like back home on the island. The workers here top notch. Had a great time and wish we could come more often but we are from Chicago and the distance doesn't allow us visit here more often but I recommend to all who are looking for authentic Puerto Rican cuisine.“
“What a gem! This cute little shop made custom cookies for my son’s first birthday. I sent an inspo pic and they were even cuter than I could’ve imagined!!! They did an incredible job and they were so delicious! Very fast responses and packaging was perfect!“
“In a day and age where food is subpar and customer service is lacking, First Watch Oak Creek does not fall into that category. Travis, our server, was exceptional and didn't miss a mark while displaying the eptiome of customer care! The food was fresh and delicious, consistent with all of the First Watch locations we've visited. Great job Team, please don't change!“
“Ordered the ox tail, jerked chicken, and island shrimp and all of the meals were on point! Your portions were fair, everything was well seasoned and the staff was super friendly while I was picking my order up. We always jumped from one Jamaican spot to the next when we shopped but I think you earned our loyalty on our first visit.“
“Genuinely one of the coolest places in Milwaukee. The food is beyond excellent and the staff are so nice that I forgot I was in a restaurant! Highly highly highly recommend going here, even if you aren't vegan!Vegetarian options: The entire restaurant is actually vegan!“
“Press served their delicious waffles at our wedding on 9.24! They were a huge hit!! Our guests loved the waffles and their super cute vintage trailer! Emily was great to work with as well! We also love to grab Press at South Shore Farmer’s Market, they make the best Belgian waffles and have great topping options!“
“We have been going once or twice a week. Ever since we found this place. their Waffles, crepes, and fresh fruit juice are absolutely delicious! Also the fresh Hazelnut baklava is so good! Their customer service is amazing. They are always so kind and welcoming. This will be forever one of our favorite spots.Kid-friendliness: It is a very big restaurant and there are a lot of kid friendly options.“
“BEST cortado i’ve ever had—so smooth, and the homemade whipped cream on top was the perfect addition. the barista even explained that he added coffee bean shavings on top, which was a sweet touch ?we stopped in after going to retique around the corner, making for a lovely afternoon “
“This is a great old building, with a lot of character.Annodyne has the best coffee in Milwaukee, and that I have ever tasted.I was there for the Jimmys concert, it was packed, probably 250 people there, most had seats. They have a stage, which you could see and hear anywhere there.Street parking is difficult there, you mau need to walk a couple of blocks.“
“I got the veggie scrambler and my brunch mate got the breakfast sandwich on the croissant. Both were delicious, good quality food and good portion size, without breaking the bank! Very satisfied. Locally owned (the person working today is the owner, she's very kind) and good tunes playing! Highly recommended.“
“This place is beautiful and comfortable! Over the past year, I confess I often wondered if this spot work ever actually open. It was worth the wait. Staff are friendly and efficient, the food looks good, and the coffee is great. The regulars I saw there this morning felt like a Seinfeld episode or Cheers. I'll be back.“
“Very friendly staff, if you need something, ask them; if they make a mistake, tell them and they are so apologetic and will try their best to make it right. The food is also very good for the price. I was told that they are looking to expand their menu selections as well. They have paintings on the wall that has a price tag on, so they probably support the local artists as well. Not a bad place to have breakfast.“
“I was introduced to this super cool coffee shop through a Yelp event and, for that, I am super grateful. It's a coffee bar with a large indoor space - lots of tables on the main floor and there's a second floor with additional seating as well. In addition to coffee and snacks, they have a bar with really good drinks, pizza, and sandwiches. We stopped by here after a date night at Glassnote next door for a bite to eat before we met up with a few friends for more drinks. We got a margherita pizza, which took about -25 minutes to get to us. You would think that for a coffee place, the food would be mediocre, but that is NOT at all the case! The pizza had a really nice thin crispy crust. The sauce was full of flavor and the olive oil on top was *chef's kiss*. The cheese was sparse (like a true Margherita), but the whole pie was easily one of the better pizzas I've had recently! They also had a live band when we stopped by, which added a very cool vibe and for a Saturday evening, it was super busy with all kinds of people - some socializing, some working. We didn't imbibe at this visit, but have had their espresso martinis before and they are truly top notch and I highly recommend!“
“It's very small, but the service and food is great! I put $10-$20 but I really don't remember how much I spent. I think it was right around 9 or 10 dollars. The 5th question I really don't remember. I had a vegetarian bagel sandwich, though.Vegetarian options: I just know what I got was a hummus cucumber bagel. The bagel was toasted and it had lettuce as well.“
“Benny's is one of the best family restaurants I've been to in a very long time. Our server was fantastic, the food was delicious, and my classic bloody was made from scratch, not a mix! I had an avacado omelet, American fries and pancakes, Happy Birthday to me! Glad I picked here, we'll be back again.“
“Anodyne consistently delivers a great experience at all of their coffee shops that I have visited in Milwaukee and this one is no exception. This shop would be a good place to set up a laptop and get some work done, with plentiful seating and tables. Easily accessible by MCTS Route 15.“
“Enjoyed a weekend breakfast at Dia Cafe. Staff was friendly. The cafe was very busy, a little bit of a wait, no problem, it's a Saturday morning. The Turkey Melt was good, lots of cheese. Latte was good too. Loved the decor. It was just a bit loud. Hard to have a conversation. But I would still return. May try the connecting restaurant for brunch.“
“A hidden gem! Usually coffee shops in the third ward are a bit pricy, but Full of Beans is vastly different, including a wide selection of pastries and any coffee you can think of. M-F they offer any size drip coffee for $1! The owner greets you every-time you walk in the door, and offers a cozy atmosphere with various books, games, and local events posted by the door. If you’re in the area, give it a try!“
“I was recommended to come here for the food and wow I was not disappointed! I was also impressed with how much seating this café has to offer- great spot for studying/working. I tried the avocado breakfast sandwich, the sausage breakfast sandwich, and the almond waffle. It is all amazing! If you like almond flavor, PLEASE try the waffle... I'm still thinking about how tasty it was!“
“A classic place to dine in for breakfast. The atmosphere is warm and inviting with a great menu for everyone to enjoy. Only wish the servers were more attentive, but overall, very kind. We will be back for more delicious breakfast and lunch!“
“I came at prime brunch time and was welcomed warmly by both the barista behind the counter and also a waitress when I transitioned into the dining area. The person I was with and I had a lot to chat about and our waitress came back like three times before we finally ordered our drinks; she was so kind and didn't pressure us to keep it moving. My Bloody Mary was good: it included a huge pickle and a chaser. I got the spicy chorizo hash and it was huge; the potatoes aren't crispy though--that's the only thing I wished were different. The sourdough toast was perfect and I'd come back again because everything on the menu looked really good!“
“Love a good coffee shops. This location is very unique. The old pumping station, that has kept a lot of the infrastructure intact. It's a authentic view of some of some very impressive engineering. And the coffee part is pretty nice as well. Plenty of the usual drinks offering, and lots of seating. I ordered a London Fog latte. It was good, but lacked the typical foam head. Next time I will ask for extra. Will definitely stop next time I am at the lakefront.“
“Every time I visit here the coffee is consistently delicious and well made and the baristas are above and beyond friendly. They are patient and kind in helping you decide what to order, and keeping your tab open in case you want to order again. They collect your dishes and make your visit very enjoyable. The food is always delicious as well. Definitely recommend visiting!!“
“I love this restaurant. The quality of the food is excellent, atmosphere is charming and you will not fine better bread in Milwaukee period. The staff and owner are very friendly. I have seen a few reviews noting slow service, it is a small business and they have limited staff but it is worth the wait. Shorewood is lucky to have such a fantastic coffee, breakfast, brunch and lunch option.“
“Excellent buttery pastry savory pies and interesting sandwich combinations. Portions are sensibly sized with a focus of quality over quantity.Nice place to sit outside with a beer too, there's outdoor heaters for the unusual days where it's a bit cold in Milwaukee.“
“i was working in the area when i was approached by an employee. i was offered a coffee and the generosity could have made me cry. on top of that, the coffee itself was made perfectly. not harsh on the throat , too hot or cold, and the taste was phenomenal. the location is ideal; about a block away in all directions from busy traffic and it was just relaxing no matter where you were. the employees were compassionate about their customers and to me that deserves an award. they even support local artists! how amazing is that!!!“
“Still one of the best burgers. A Hot Mess. 1/3 beef patty, lettuce, tomatoes, cheddar cheese, bacon, beer braised onions and Guinness cheese sauce, with tots and a bloody! Service was quick and friendly. The bartender was fantastic! Thanks for another great Sunday Funday :-)“
“Had such a delicious chai latte there today and a really scrumptious dill havarti and turkey sandwich (thanks, Mary!) I need to make a point to get here more often. Plus, today, some artists were selling their wares, so it was fun to see what was there! I had limited time so I hope this ad hoc makers market happens again when I can spend more time taking a look at everything. Also, the ambience at Hi-Fi never disappoints! I have been going to the cafe since it opened in the '90s; to me it is a staple of what an artsy and music focused coffee shop should embody-- true cultural gathering place to foster creativity and community.“
“The service was absolutely fantastic. The friendliest servers you could ask for. The food was absolutely delicious. Some really creative items on the menu. Great variety. Check out the menu. Photos that have been added. Definitely worthwhile stopping in prices are very reasonable. And they have a fantastic fish fry also. I found a great sandwich in the three meat sandwich… delicious Chicken breast on top of a burger with bacon added. Very filling and absolutely delicious. be sure to try this sandwich.“
