“I don’t understand the bad reviews . I had the shrimp with pea pods, my mother-in-law had the beef chop suey and my husband had kung pow chicken and an egg roll. All of us were happy with our dinners. My mother-in-law and I are both gluten-free. We don’t have a lot of options when it comes to Chinese food. Our waitress was lovely. She said she could make most dishes gluten-free. I was very confident that she wouldn’t “poison” us. I’m not a big fan of chop suey, but I tried some of my mother-in-laws. I thought it was very good. We will definitely be back!“

“We got takeout, so service and atmosphere weren't really a factor but the place looked nice. The food, like always, was SO good! I tried the roast pork with garlic sauce---it was perfect...a good amount of meat and a great variety of veggies! My husband got sweet and sour chicken. You get plenty of chicken to feed two people!! My son got the orange chicken...again SO much chicken! Husband and son both said the chicken was really tender.“

I also enjoyed the DanDan Noodles and Sichuan Pork Dumplings which both had amazing flavor and were quite filling. The Golden Pineapple drink was incredible and I’m still thinking about it! “I have ordered from No. 1 Chinese Restaurant several times. Years ago, I thought their quality was so-so. Lately, they've been excellent. I like my Chinese takeout to be fresh, not-gloppy, with crisp vegetables and flavorful, but not too salty. I don't think they use MSG. More recently, I have ordered from their food through Grub Hub. Unfortunately, the last time Grub Hub screwed up and brought me the wrong order. It wasn't No 1's fault. I called No 1. and they sent the correct order, at their own expense. I felt bad that I wasn't prepared to give the driver a tip. Please support this local restaurant!!!“

“This place has the best Chinese food it is always delicious and the wait time is less than 20 minutes when calling in and order for takeout. The egg rolls here are homemade and absolutely delicious. The amount of food you receive for the price is very reasonable. If you like Chinese food I highly recommend this place.“

“Quick, delicious, plentiful Chinese food. You get two entrees and a rice or noodle side for $8.95. The styrofoam container is packed! I usually make two meals out of one order. Currently there is only take out. We’ve gone early, mid day and in the evening. It’s always hot and tasty. Not dried out. It’s become our favorite place for reliable Chinese takeout.“

“Chinatown is not only cost effective, they have excellent customer service, speedy and courteous delivery service, the food is fresh and made to order. “I usually order the Crab Rangoon & the Large Shrimp Fried Rice. Both are an excellent amount for the price & almost always cooked to perfection. Not all restaurants do Rangoon right. I have to say, they have some of the best. It isn’t overly crispy & filled with a good amount of filling. I’ve never received a dish that wasn’t delicious....
Update: I haven't been there for a good minute. The last two times the chicken was so hard and brittle. I don't know if they were trying to cut costs but it shows. It might be better now but I haven't been willing to try..“

“I’ve always had good dinners from here. This time I tried the bourbon chicken. Great flavor with lots of broccoli and mushrooms. The large size easily is enough for 2 or to have leftovers. We picked it up and went to Lion’s Tail to enjoy a beer along with it.“

“We ordered 2 orders of chicken and snow peas dinners, and 2 orders of pork egg foo young. Our food today was SUPERB. Everything was Hot, and well packaged. The delivery time was exactly 35 minutes. We have ordered from here occasionally in the past, and a few times the food has just been mediocre. The dinners came with fried rice that was excellent, a BIG portion of soup that was tasty and an egg roll. I have read a lot of so so reviews of this establishment, but we were so impressed with our food today, that I really felt I needed to write a review and let them know how much we enjoyed our food and service today. “Really good taste, great service. Ordered by phone, was told 10min, and food was ready in less than that. Didn’t take photos of the food (I was starving lol) but it was really really good. Ordered Sweet n’ Sour Chicken, and General Tso’s. Stays open a little later than the others nearby.“
