We thought it was not going to be nearly as good but still begrudgingly ordered because the craving for Chinese food was too real. We were so pleasantly surprised! “We recently stayed in an Airbnb very near China East. After touring for the day, it was easy to come back to the house and order. Pickup was 5-10 minutes, and food was ready and hot. We especially liked their sweet and sour soup. I ordered chicken with broccoli one night and shrimp with broccoli another night, garlic sauce on the side. Portions were large and lasted for more than one meal. Reasonable prices.“

I got the red curry chicken soup which was packed with chicken, corn, mushrooms, fishcake, imitation crab, cabbage, ham, and a quail egg 🤯 So bomb with an herbal tea! Will be coming back for sure.“

“I adore this restaurant and the people who run and operate this little gem. I can't speak to much of the Chinese food, that's not why I go there. I go there because I'm half Korean and I want KOREAN FOOD. And they make some of the best.
The jjajangmyeon (black bean sauce) is the best I've ever had. Ever. It's thick, not runny and has all kinds of the right veg.
I love ojingeo bokkeum (squid stir fry) and this is my favorite take on it anywhere. I'm not even sure what they do, but it's fantastic.
The jjampong (seafood soup) is flavor and seafood-packed.
Really, all the Korean dishes are delicious.

This place is owned by an older Korean couple and I think their staff is mostly Hispanic. For those that think the staff is rude... those guys prep, cook, order, serve and clean. And English is none of their first languages. Yet, they deal with crappy customer attitudes too, and I've never seen them return it. I've gotten there shortly before close, when they are cleaning up, they do not hesitate to make your order. I've had miscommunication over the phone about an order, so instead I went in and ordered in person. It took 15 min for 4 entrees. That's it. So maybe they aren't being rude, maybe they didn't understand you or vice versa. As for tasteless, like I said, we don't order the Chinese food normally. But I can tell you their fried rice is KOREAN, not Chinese, therefore different and definitely not the same flavor. Or order the forbidden rice and freak out over the purple color!
If you had a bad experience, please, stay away. Let the rest of us enjoy the hard-working, lovely people that turn out some of the best Korean food in the city.

The most important thing about any restaurant - the quality of the food.... Excellent. We ordered 3 different types of dumplings as well as salad, edamame, and fried rice noodles. Two adults and two children under 4... We literally ate every bite. We are small people. We rarely clean our plates this way at a restaurant. It is so good!!!

The person working here suggested that the pork and beef dumplings are their best ones and that the noodle dishes are great, so we ordered those items.

There was only one person for seating, taking orders, and cooking as best I could tell. Considering there were 3 other tables as well as carryout orders the food came pretty fast.

I like my Chinese takeout to be fresh, not-gloppy, with crisp vegetables and flavorful, but not too salty. I don't think they use MSG. More recently, I have ordered from their food through Grub Hub. Unfortunately, the last time Grub Hub screwed up and brought me the wrong order. It wasn't No 1's fault. I called No 1. and they sent the correct order, at their own expense. ​You know how Chinese restaurants are usually known for generous portions? This place takes it to a whole new level. Their portions are actually larger than most other spots we've been to. Just a single entree could easily feed at least three people! Because my family all wanted something different, we ordered a few dishes and now we have enough delicious food to last us for several days.
