“Dallas is a pretty small town, so this one of few choices for lunch when in the area. We were pleasantly surprised at this place! Large seating areas in addition to the bar. We both ordered burgers, and they were excellent. This is not a bad little place in a remote area with few choices!”
“What a treasure! Hands down the best steaks and prime around. Friendly and attentive staff. Ample portions, delightfully varied menu. We will definitely be going back!”
“Nice friendly comfortable old style cafe. Service was excellent, waitress was very friendly and accommodating made sure the meal was to my liking. Atmosphere was comfortable. Old school hometown style cafe.Parking: Plenty of open spots along both sides of the street.Kid-friendliness: Kids would be welcome It was a typical family run hometown restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: All on one floor accessible from the road and the sidewalk.”
“I drove all the way from Duluth Minnesota for their fish fry. Honestly still my favorite place to get fish fry! Much better than any place in Duluth I've gone to.The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming here. And you can usually pet the cutest old puppy dog while you're waiting for your food and drinks.Thank you Kate's Bar for being so amazing.”
“Best hometown breakfast you'll find. Come hungry, very large servings made with love. Try the pancake, it takes up the whole plate! My favorites are the French toast, patty melt and their freshly battered Friday Fish Fry!”
“We ordered 20 pizza pies 2-9-24 and I have to say this is the best pizza I have had since I moved from New York. I have definitely tried my share of pizza places. Come on in and order a pie and listen to a crunch with your first bite to your last. Everyone at the party loved the pizza. Thanks so much and we will be back at least once a month. Yum ?Elena”
“Great hometown tavern with live music, pizza, cold beer. Excellent pool table, lots of electronic poker games. Is big enough so you don't feel crowded. Clean and well maintained. Great place to meet up with friends or meet new friends.”
“Stix was actually a great place. Great food, good atmosphere, good service at a great price. No darts though but otherwise there was nothing I could complain about.”
“Best Chinese food in Barron County! The buffet is on the smaller side but we always order take out and get our favorites to eat at home. It's definitely worth traveling to the next town for. Service is timely and staff are friendly.”
“My wife and I had never eaten at this place. We were in town for taxes. Afterwords, we were hungry so we decided to try Sportsmens Bar & Grill. We were impressed with the food! We will have to try their Friday fish fry. All told, I would recommend it to friends.”
“Nice friendly place with amazing food. Love the variety of options on the menu. Prices very reasonable.Dietary restrictions: There are more options than most places.”
“Good genuine people. Awesome bartender (jenna). They also have rooms for rent above the bar. Nicer then most hotels. This will be a definite stop again along my travels.”
“Outstanding stop on trail. As a Veteran myself, I like the atmosphere. Drinks are a great value, great organization to support. I had a shot of tequila, wife had some wine, son had a beer, all for under $7.. stop if you can. Keep in mind that theres veterans and a 4 letter word may be said ever so often...lol.. maybe more than that....lol.. thanks all..”
“Always go here with the family for dinner, best burgers and ice cream fast and a nice place to sit down and relax to. Always love coming here.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly”
“It's nice they have the bar area looking so nice now. It's a lot nicer to eat in the bar area. The original dining area is pretty outdated with simple tables and chairs. We went on a Friday, and they had a fish and chicken buffet. You have to wear the restaurant style gloves and the food goes pretty fast. They try to refill the bins fast enough, but when there's a crowd, they can only do so much. But, it was very good. You get your choice of baked or deep fried cod, broasted chicken, cheesy potatoes or baby reds, salad bar and soup (which was a chicken soup), and with bread sticks.Parking: There is a very large parking lot with ample room for large trucks and many cars.Wheelchair accessibility: There are two entrances, and both are wheelchair accessible but require additional help to open. They are not automated.”
“I had actually passed the restaurant and had to turn around and go back because it has been years since I ate at A&W. I ordered a double Big Papa Burger and was not disappointed. They are as good as I remember in my opinion. And for some reason the root beer is so much better than when you buy a can or bottle at a store. Service was great. They were fast, friendly and efficient. I'm definitely going to stop by anytime that I have the chance.”
“It is good subs. I'm just very sad that you no longer have flat bread. The chicken bacon ranch sub isn't too bad. Just get mayo though not ranch. I also noticed though an employee take out the trash and then go back to making subs without washing her hands in between.”
“Went through the drive through ans everyone was very friendly. The sandwiches we got were good and hot. They also weren't scattered all over the sandwich where I had to rebuild it”
“Great local grill and bar with daily specials and variety of options on the menu. We've been there three times and have never been disappointed. Favorites are the Reuben sandwich and the prime rib (sandwich or entree). Spotted Cow on tap served in frosty mugs.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu and a family dining area separate from the bar.”
