“I love this place! I take my 5 year old son fossil hunting just north of Dickeyville, and we always stop here before driving home to Middleton. The food is great, and the staff are friendly and go out of their way to ensure that Millie’s is a great place for parents who have small children with them. If I lived closer, I’d eat here every week.Kid-friendliness: This is the most child friendly restaurant I’ve ever been to!Wheelchair accessibility: The building is wheelchair accessible”
“Me and my girlfriend are a regular at beakers, and every time I go there I have such a wonderful experience, the coffee is amazing, the selection is amazing, and I quite enjoy the good conversation. Coffee or lotus drinks are made perfectly every single time, and honestly I have to say beakers coffee is better then Starbucks. So if anyone is reading this give beakers the ole college try and I promise that you won't be disappointed.”
“Great coffee, fantastic food (one of the best is town!), and whoever decorated this place, has a wonderful aesthetic! The place has a cool vibe. I love everything about it!”
“My wife and I had lunch here yesterday and the food and beer were FANTASTIC!! We really enjoyed our meal and Chad was great. We always ask about local beers and recommendations for food and he happily took his time with us. We felt very welcomed. We had a great experience. You can't go wrong having lunch here! Thanks, Chad, you have a great place.”
“This little mom and pop shop is good to go, especially if you're looking for some healthy options. So they have this green drink/smoothie, which is really good. Restaurants and bathrooms were clean, too. parking is good, and just a well ran establishment with friendly people that work there. If you are looking for something in the city that's different and not too pricey, this is a good choice.”
“Yesterday, I stopped by Candle Ready Cakes, and it was a great experience! The macarons were flawless, and the gluten-free cupcakes were delicious. The new store is charming as well. I highly recommended for anyone with a sweet tooth!”
“My dad and I came here because we found them on the find me gf app, due to my celiac's disease. This was an amazing find!! I typically don't leave reviews for places unless that are exceptional. It was amazing value for the food you get. They were very diligent to be extremely cautious and use aluminum tissue to protect against cross contamination. The staff were extremely friendly, and the place is clean. I would also like to mention the inclusivity aspect. My dad is a huge fan of the gender neutral bathrooms for efficiency, but I like them for inclusion (and efficiency). ALSO!! The gf bread isn't sad like most places serve... it's great bread!!! I got the farmer's daughter without cheese... terrific!! Highly recommend if you have celiac's disease or are avoiding gluten. If I could give them 6 stars, I would. ?”
“So much fun! We went with our two kids for a couple drinks, food and then discovered the game room. We all had so much fun! We went back to next night for more fun. We will definitely visit again when we’re back in town.”
“A chef friend recommended Frannie's to us a few weeks ago, so the next time we were in Dubuque, we had to stop in. Some of the best BBQ brisket I've ever had. The baked beans had brisket and peaches in them...so dang good. I highly recommend Frannie's. We're definitely coming back next time we're in the area.”
“This is a wonderful establishment with delicious drinks and an even better atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and super knowledgeable making for an easy experience of you've never tried kava kava before. Go give them a try!!”
“We love coming to Brazen and it's really our capstone dining experience when in the Dubuque / Galena area. The menu seems to be getting more extraordinary each time we visit, which is remarkable given the tremendous talent in the kitchen. There are so many crowd pleasing options on the menu but what really struck us this visit were the vegan options which is saying something since we recently came back from a trip to NYC which included a visit to 11 Madison Park where we enjoyed its vegan prix-fix.This visit I had the beet soup (amazing) and we both had the vegan butternut squash as our main - elegant, approachable and delectable. Subtle mastery of a dish that's straight forward but layered in complexity. For dessert, the vegan Swiss roll was truly a standout and should not be missed. The kids feasted on a generous, perfectly cooked and sliced NY strip which screamed welcome to the Midwest with an amazingly flavorful but not overwhelming horseradish cheese sauce and prodigious bunch of perfectly cooked fries. Lucky for the adults, we escaped with leftovers and so I am not unhappy about lunch tomorrow. On the beverage side, Brazen also really delights - the wines were thoughtfully selected and the cocktails were very well crafted. The immediate neighborhood has lots of fun after dinner options which is a great plus. The service at Brazen is also a treat as well. It's particularly remarkable in the post pandemic era that this restaurant delivers friendly, very knowledgeable and attentive service in a relaxed atmosphere that is suitable for foodies, diverse groups and families alike.Make the trip and visit if you are close by - you will be delighted by this standout dining experience.”
“Brought in friends to celebrate a birthday. Kim and her staff we amazing. We told her to create the menu for us and she brought us a beautiful menu. Everything was delicious and our guests got to take a bunch of leftovers home. The staff and service was fantastic and the cocktails Russ made were delicious. It was a great evening all around.”
“Very cozy atmosphere, when there aren't a lot of people there. Great Theater Room with darts and an Xbox.Service was fine. The girl behind the counter was pleasant. The food was alright. The Mocha wasn't good. (My wife compared it to a Mocha from Burger King... Not a compliment.) The Bacon, Egg, & Cheese Chibata and the Frassati Franks (Pigs in a Blanket) were both pretty dry, but tasted good. We'll be going back to see if the food improves when it's a different time of day, with a different choice in food.Parking: Parking lot is very small. There is street parking, but you won't find a parking spot when the college is in session.”
“Love their food, drinks and restaurant. They the best quinoa bowls, breakfast burritos. Their salsas are so fresh and actually colorful. Always get their caramel lattes abd for sure one to go. If you love crescents, you must try their almond crescents. If you like chickens , say hi to the chickens they care for and see how their gardens are doing.”
“Brisket is money. All is the best I ever had You can't beat the price and food is worth the drive from Dubuque the sauce is better than competitors. customer for life. $ 21 for everything in ”
“Absolutely love love love the people who work here! They are so sweet and caring! And they make amazing drinks that I can take with me to classes to stay caffeinated and hydrated for the day! Highly recommend!”
“Stopped in for late night drinks…beers were cheap and the service was good!Lots of darts and a few pool tables.Kid-friendliness: Not as late as in was thereWheelchair accessibility: The front entrance has steps”
“Stopped for supper after touring UW Platteville. Ordered 3 entrees. Barely had time to dig into our chips and salsa and our food was at our table. Chile Chicken Relleno, Burrito Chicken Fantastico and Pollo Loco were all delicious. Staff were courteous and attentive. Will definitely be back since we will have a college student moving in.”
“We stopped here by luck when we where in town for a weekend getaway. So thankful google maps lead us here for coffee! The vibe was amazing! Prices are wonderful! 2 coffee drinks for $7 and some change! If we are ever back in Dubuque I will be stopping again!”
“Great food, especially vegetarian options. Good drinks, the bartender didn't know how to make one of our drink orders (a martini vesper), but very happy with one of their specialty drinks.”
“Austin, Hannah and the gang always make me feel super welcome when I go in! It is definitely a place where you feel part of the Badger Brothers family. I always got the chai in whatever seasonal flavor they had and it was always great! If you don't go here while you are in town, you are missing out.”
“A nice coffee shop and bistro. They have a bit more selection on the menu and stay open a little later than other local shops. A very popular place that tends to be busy, and you can decide if that's a plus or not. Definitely a good choice for eats and coffee drinks.Wheelchair accessibility: I noticed stairs in the front and back.”
“Had the Italian beef nachos and they were so good! Unique combination getting again! Friendly staff! I have not tried before and will definitely be ordering again. Friendly staff!”
“Pizza was made fast and delicious as always. Staff is always friendly. Becky delivered our pizza to our table n refilled our drinks which usually we do it ourself. Always need to stop when we are in town from Florida.”
“Great beer! Really cool, laid back environment with friendly and helpful staff. We shared a couple appetizers that were so so good! Only downfall is that food options are lighter or are appetizers, so if you want a fuller meal I’d recommend eating elsewhere.”
“This is the best chicken ever!but they are carry out only, and as soon as you get out of the car, you'll notice that your mouth starts to water, and the wonderful smell of fried chicken hits you,all up and down the block! The staff are friendly and helpful and we love their chicken and sides!so much!!”
“Called ahead and they got my tacos ready in 15-20 minutes. 4 tacos, just cilantro, and I bought a soda and some candy - cost me $19 and they were PACKED with meat. It was wonderful. Great Mexican food.”
“Alex & Angie are the nicest most welcoming people & work so hard for our community, we are truly so lucky to have them! I love stopping in to visit the club when I’m down town & can always count on them for a quick delivery with smiles & laughs when I’m pressed for time! I have done orders for as small as one drink & also large orders with over 30 drinks, each time is just a good as the last! 10/10 recommend!”
“A nice retro café for the family to go out for breakfast with pretty good prices and just a great place to read a paper and enjoy a morning joeKid-friendliness: They have bar chairs that are pretty low seating at booths”

“As a sucker for small town dive bars and a recent transplant to Dubuque, I'd been eyeing this little Wisconsin establishment for a bit. It's exactly what you'd look for in the when visiting the Midwest. An attentive bartender, great atmosphere, and excellent conversation. Can definitely recommend!”
