“Absolute angels. My wisdom tooth is impacted and killing me. Weeks until I can get it removed. Cant eat solid food. Missing my favorite chineese resturant I asked if they could prepare my meal extra diced up in small bites and they delievered. Gotta love a place that eases your pain and fills your cravings.“

“This place is a gem of a restaurant. The food, the atmosphere, the drinks are all 10/10. One of the only places in Madison I have seen tofu skins so that alone got me in the door. A lot of the small plates are vegetarian/vegan. Everything we have tried in our two visits there has been excellent - potstickers, green beans, tofu skins, scallion pancakes. They have specials that also sound great. Service on a busy night is a little slow, as can be expected. Would recommend a reservation as they are not a huge place and fill up quickly. Highly recommend having a meal here!“

“I recently ordered pork chow mein from China Work, but when I went to pick it up, I realized it wasn’t the noodle dish I expected. It turns out that chow mein at this restaurant is actually a rice dish, while lo mein is the noodle version I was looking for. I went back to the restaurant, and the staff was incredibly helpful. They explained the difference, and the worker kindly offered to make the lo mein for me at no extra charge, even though I tried to pay for the correct dish.

I was really impressed by their thoughtfulness and generosity. Plus, the food was absolutely delicious! I’ll definitely be coming back for more great food and excellent service.

If you're looking for recommendations, I highly suggest the Black Pepper Hot and Spicy Chicken and the Mongolian Triple Delight—those are two of my go-to dishes, and they’re always fantastic!“

“QQs is legit tasty food. This isn't the old QQs from 10 or even 3 years ago. The food is well seasoned, not too salty. Many items to choose, with some constant dishes and new things that rotate daily. The lunch line moves fast!

And importantly, the price has gone up, but the increase is much less than most other restaurants. 11 dollars for two entrees and side, and it is realistically two full meals of food.“

I took the servers recommendations and had BBQ Pork Crepe, Baked Creamy Egg Yolk Bun (which was excellent), Short Rib with Honey Sauce (also excellent), Chicken Feet with Special Sauce (first time trying, but was good), and Siu Mai. “My friends and I order from A8 China almost every time we are craving Chinese food. I had originally heard of this restaurant from my work place a couple of years ago and have been recommending them ever since. I have had nothing but great experiences with this restaurant. I've never dined in, but delivery is always quick and they're always incredibly friendly when I come to pick up. The food is always hot, delicious, and the portion sizes are excellent. The chicken is tender and doesn't have any gristle, which is something I've experienced with other restaurants. Plus, again, they do NOT skimp on any of the food! Every now and then, they won't have a specific drink if you order online, but they always substitute it for something else. A lot of the times, they'll include a drink with your delivery as a curtesy! I can't express how much I truly enjoy ordering from here and I highly recommend it if you haven't tried them yet. :)“

“Found this hidden gem randomly. Food is delicious and authentic. The server is super friendly but she does not speak English. You can order by number as shown on menu. Free soft drink comes with the dishes for each person. Cheaper pricing than other Chinese restaurants nearby. Will definitely come back to try more dishes!“

“Came here after about 5 years, if you want good food freshly prepared by the owners who are extremely hard-working, you need to come here. I have been eating here for at least 7 years and the food quality has been amazing. They are no frills, hard-working people who make excellent food.“

“I have now eaten here 3 times and appreciated the food every time. What stands out beyond very tasty food is their attention to detail and service. We ordered a gluten free entree and added mushrooms (marinated so not gluten free) - they labeled the dish identifying what was gluten free and what wasn’t and just in case packaged the mushrooms separately.

I called multiple times with questions and they were always kind, patient, and provided genuine recommendations and insights. It is a pet peeve of mine when restaurants/servers don’t feel comfortable providing an opinion.

I would highly recommend. Also, my two children tried three different items and provided their approval as well (not a typical experience as of late).

I ate here with friends and tried the Dan Dan noodles. It was spectacular with so much flavor, spice, and not to make a dad joke out of it but what I imagine is the taste umami. I will be returning for this dish. The rest of the food and drinks remained excellent.“

“I had the General Tso’s chicken with fried rice, so good! Also tried the Crab Rangoon, and it was delicious. Nice and crispy. The dinner portion was huge, definitely enough for two people. Highly recommend this spot, and the owners are incredibly nice!“

“December 3, 2024, I ate at World Buffet and was greeted when I came in, was taken to my table and brought me my beverage. The food was hot, delicious and well displayed. I very much enjoy the staff and will be going back.“

“Well, this is heavily sauced Chinese food! Which I like. Madisons Chinese food scene is either authentic and greasy or Hyvee and dry. This place is a nice change. Reminds me of my middle American hometown saucey goodness. I did get their Szechuan tofu - it was a level 1-2, but a little too spicy for me. The tofu was a soft tofu, which I thought was unique and yummy. But if you're not sure you like tofu soft, talk with them. I also like the sautéed veggies with lo main: so good.

“Updating my review because this restaurant saved my life during the lockdown. They are fast, always get my orders right, and have some really delicious things on the menu. I think my experience below was uncommon. Their egg drop soup is delicious, their fried rice and noodle dishes are flavorful and delicious. They put a lot of pork and chicken into the dishes if you order one of those. Maybe don't get shrimp, but do eat here!Ordered the Mongolian shrimp and got literally 6 shrimp and a bunch of onions. Don't get shrimp from them; it's a rude rip-off. That is not Mongolian shrimp, even by low American standards.“
