“If you're looking for Chinese with great quality in the taste and freshness I'd say you wouldn't be disappointed with San Dong. Be around a long time and for as many years as I've eaten here the quality remains the same. Decent selection. Fair prices. The only reasons I gave 4 stars to the atmosphere category are: 1. It's a standard Chinese restaurant type of atmosphere. 2. I don't really feel qualified enough to judge and rate the atmosphere 100% nothing wrong with it. If they went out of their way to have live traditional Chinese music, dancers, or a light show then it'd be an easy 5 stars.

Go there and try their food. Order a couple of different entrees and bring some home for later.“

“This is my family's go-to for Chinese. The service is truly excellent: they're always pleasant, the prices are reasonable, the order is always right, it's always ready on time (usually a little early in fact), always hot and fresh. When I'm ordering for the spouse and kids, or on the odd Thursday evening when I'm too tired to cook, and what I really need is for everyone to get what they expected, no surprises or delays or hassles, this is the place. They have a few tables but the vibe is definitely takeout. The food is fine -- I wouldn't say it separates itself from the pack of local Chinese takeouts -- but they have a dim sum menu which is rare in Milwaukee, and there are a few gems on it.“

“Have been ordering from this place since it opened and I have never been disappointed. It is one of the best American Chinese food places on this side of Wisconsin. The ingredients always taste fresh and delicious, with generous takeout portions. They don't skimp on the meat or seafood! I have kids that are picky eaters and they love the shrimp with broccoli and the egg rolls the most. My kid who always asks for only peanut butter sandwiches all day will quietly chow down on the rice and broccoli, then invite the shrimp to the belly party. Another of my kids didn't even know until today that egg rolls are full of cabbage (stuff she doesn't like to eat if I make it at home) and just raised her eyebrows and said "well I love cabbage then!" and continued to eat the whole egg roll up as usual.The staff are always polite and friendly, food is made to order and ready quickly. My family and I really enjoy the food and the takeout experience.“

“My sister and I got take-out here on Saturday night. We shared crab rangoons, sesame chicken, vegetable lo mein, and vegetable Mei Fun! Everything was very good! We were at work, so our go-to Chinese food spot was too far away, so we decided to try this restaurant for the first time. Everything was fresh and flavorful. We will definitely be coming back to try more of their menu!“

“Incredibly legit northern Chinese restaurant. As an ABC (American born Chinese), I was literally the least Chinese person there when we went. Seems like the whole Chinese population in Milwaukee knows about this place, and it definitely deserves the recognition.

They have an extensive menu, but their northern style foods really stand out - dumplings, noodle/soup noodle dishes, and certain stir fries that are more specifically from northern China. Our favorites that we ordered were the 地三鲜 (eggplant, potato, and green pepper) and 麻辣汤米线 (spicy soup with noodles?).

Their food does seem to run on the salty side, but it’s also because it is mostly intended to go with white rice.

Will definitely be coming back.“

“We ordered 2 orders of chicken and snow peas dinners, and 2 orders of pork egg foo young. Our food today was SUPERB. Everything was Hot, and well packaged. The delivery time was exactly 35 minutes. We have ordered from here occasionally in the past, and a few times the food has just been mediocre. The dinners came with fried rice that was excellent, a BIG portion of soup that was tasty and an egg roll. I have read a lot of so so reviews of this establishment, but we were so impressed with our food today, that I really felt I needed to write a review and let them know how much we enjoyed our food and service today. I also enjoyed the DanDan Noodles and Sichuan Pork Dumplings which both had amazing flavor and were quite filling. The Golden Pineapple drink was incredible and I’m still thinking about it! Very generous portions for 2 people...I think there were 12 pieces of fish! “I have been going to Panda Hut in West Allis for decades. I love love love their food. When I worked at the VA our boss would often treat us to lunch specials. We'd pick it up and eat at work. That's how I was introduced to wonton soup. It's the best I've ever had. It comes in a quart, or a smaller container, but I could drink the whole quart by myself. Egg rolls are awesome. Shrimp egg foo young is awesome. Everything is awesome. Lo mein. Fried rice. Lemon chicken...Depending on your age, you may remember the store for young women called Three Sisters. That's what used to be in the Panda Hut. The tile is still in the entryway.“

From the moment we walked in the door until the moment we left, everyone that was working today was absolutely amazing.
