To say the least, I was surprised if I had been informed before I had ordered, I may have decided to stay. Now I'll ask to see if there's a charge and if there is. “If you’re reading this, make the reservation. Easily a 10/10 meal. We started with the burrata, their specialty. It was, in a word, divine. The bread was perfectly toasted. The salad underneath the burrata changes seasonally, and the apricot, honey, and truffle oil elevated it beyond expectation. I could have had another order of this for my entrée and been set. My chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Unpretentious but perfectly executed. The potatoes and broccolini came to life with the lemon caper sauce. My husband had the mac n’ cheese with short rib. The creamy mac and tender meat don’t compete in flavor — they’re in a loving, happy marriage. This is what restaurant BBQ mac should be. I’m not usually a crème brûlée person, or at least, I thought I wasn’t. I let my husband pick the dessert, and it did not disappoint. Perfectly creamy and flavorful. This is the experience you want when you decide you’re ordering a dessert. The service was top-notch. The alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks were all delightful. Heirloom MKE delivered one of my favorite dinners to date.“

The 7 course surprise tasting menu was incredible, and they seemed to incorporate specific foods that we focused during my kitchen experience. “I would rate this restaurant 10 stars if I could. My salmon was by far the best I have ever eaten, and I spent 10 days in Scotland two years ago. The restaurant is so clean that it actually sparkles. Street parking can be a challenge but don't let that be a deterrent. You must try this restaurant!“

Shortrib tacos: ⭐⭐ These were fine I guess, but the meat was flavorless and the sauce was light on flavor or heat. The excess of pickled onions couldn't even overcome the lack of flavor. I just mixed the meat in with the meatballs

“I went to LuLu Cafe with my mom and our waiter, Joel, was outstanding! He was very friendly, accommodating, and provided exceptional customer service.

For lunch we shared the homemade chips with blue cheese dip (our favorite!) and we split the Roasted Vegetable Salad with chicken.

We love coming to Lulu Cafe and we've been coming here for years. The food is always amazing and the service is impeccable. They also have a nice bar and a large dining space. We enjoy sitting at a table by the outside window, when it's available.“
