“It is New Year's Eve 2024. We just got home from Michael's On the Lake and my husband ordered the special 44oz Porterhouse and it was divine! This steak was at least 3 inches thick.....but maybe more, so flavorful and melted in our mouths. (He shared a piece with me.) He ordered it rare snd it came out perfectly. All the food was fresh. The music and atmosphere were classy and subdued. The wait staff is well trained and friendly. The old fashioneds were great too. Michaels on the Lake is a jewel of a restaurant. This family owned and run place is worth the drive!“

“Went for the Friday fish fry with the family. As most places it was busy around dinner time on a Friday (30 minute wait). A young lady pointed us over to the hostess table which is on the opposite wall of the entrance. Once seated server was there almost instantly. Drink and appetizer order was taken immediately. Wisconsin cheese curds were light and stringy, our boys loved them. Chicken wings were good, crispy where sauce wasn’t applied, think I might actually like them better this way. Grilled shrimp was ordered by a few of the family and they were large compared to most other places. Red potatoes were soft and well seasoned. Baked Cod fish fry was great, potato pancakes were also softer and not greasy. Will be returning again.“

“Parking is a hassle. BUT this place is so clean and the water is not too cold or dirty. It was our 1st time there and will definitely be coming back. I’m from Chicago and don’t really like going to our lake but we all had so much fun. There were a lot of lifeguards around, which gives you some comfort.“

“We were a party of five seated in the back room off the bar area. Our server was kind and patient. We had a variety of food items for dinner. All were delicious except for my Caesar salad. There were two tiny cherry tomatoes ?and no red onion. I ordered the grilled shrimp as my protein and will tell you there was not a grill mark to be found. They were tiny and room temp. These shrimp never saw a grill. A twenty dollar salad was an extreme disappointment. There were just as much crouton as there was lettuce. Left hungry, disgruntled and disappointed.“

“This store frequently has very slow service, even during off-peak times. Possibly short-staffed? Other fast food restaurants in this area seem to have same problem so not just Culver's. Food is always good quality and staff is nice. Just slower than normal for a Culver's. Waited for about 15 mins for a simple order from drive thru; single cheeseburger, fries and a drink; nothing out of the ordinary.“

“I can't say enough good things about the people at Red Oak. Everyone who works there is delightful, friendly, professional, and accommodating. Their mission of serving local farm foods is also wonderful, and not only helps the community, but I feel better about what I'm feeding my family. The chef crafts a seasonal menu and great specials based around what is in season. Plus the food is delicious. We typically come for Sunday brunch, but dinners are equally great. We live in Illinois but spend time in the area frequently during warmer months, and dine here regularly. Family friendly. Great patio (occasional bees, beware). Fireplace in colder months. Retail items like locally made jams. Highly recommended!“

“I stopped by here on a whim last Saturday night because a friend recommended it to me. it's a quaint little joint in a 'middle of nowhere' kinda town. I didn't know what to expect when I walked in. Not too big, well lit and a friendly crowd. I was told that I had to try the food. Whenever I first try a new place, I usually try a burger of it's on their menu. Lots of smoked meats are available here as well! Brisket, ribs, wings etc. Quite the selection! I got the bacon cheeseburger and omg! It was BANGIN!! Come hungry too cause it's a half pound of mouth watering beefy deliciousness! The crinkle cut fries are an awesome addition to this monster burger as well. 😋 I ended up staying longer than expected as some people that I knew showed up and it was worth it! Great time here. I'll definitely be back (if they allow me) Did I mention the awesome bartender? 😎 Highly recommended.“

“We went to Bingo and Burgers tonight for our first time at Copper Bottom. Greeted by all staff when we arrived, received excellent service and enjoyed delicious burgers. So much fun playing Bingo too!“

“Stopped here on a Saturday night on our way through to Illinois. It was very busy. They had St Patrick’s Day specials as well as their normal menu and regular Saturday specials. Everyone was nice and things appeared to run smoothly in a crazy busy atmosphere. Food came out promptly and was very good! If we ever find our way down here again I’d stop back and recommend to others as well. I don’t usually do reviews but was impressed enough that I felt I should. Thanks again!“

“I was there on a Friday at the start of the dinner hour so it was pretty busy. The only thing that suffered was the service but even that wasn't horrible. I truly enjoy this restaurant and it's atmosphere .

Parking: Parking can be somewhat limited during the lunch and dinner rush but the turn-over rate is pretty quick.“
