I wanted to love Hanks - I adore Mint Mark and the Muskellounge, and the burger I had during my first foray there was delish. I was super excited about the fish fry, so we ordered the walleye meal last weekend. Nice big filet, average waffle fries. The problem was that the walleye was so fishy-tasting and smelling, it was basically inedible. I'm a Wisco girl who has had many a fish fry in my day, and never have a had a piece as fishy as this one. Super bummed!

This is a different serving model. Went on a Friday night and the four of us enjoyed 3 different fish fry choices. The food was very good. You place your order at the counter and listen for them to call your name. Took about 6 minutes for our food to be ready. We ate at the attached Muskellounge bar. The bar and restaurant are separate entities but are clearly connected operations.
