“Great Friday fish fry with Cod, Walleye, and Perch. Good service and drinks. My baked Cod came in the dhspr of a pressed in rectangle which says right out of the freezer package but still it was good and a generous portion. They do have outdoor seating and a nice view of the golf course. My once again complaint, not just here but lots of places with bars, is that a gin and tonic should always have a lime in it. I shouldn't have to ask. Apparently the new generation of bartenders are not taught that it's part of the drink. It makes it distinctive and adds a little flavor.“
“The perch plate is the best.. it reminds me of the great perch plates growing up..potato salad is wonderful. Fish was breaded lightly and crispy.. coleslaw was delicious..just wished the potato salad portion was a bit bigger.. price was very reasonable.. Burgers here are fantastic I highly recommend this place..“
“The VFW Post 7591 on Cottage Grove Road is a great organization that has a lot of things going on. The general public is welcome and encourages to come in. They hall a big hall anyone can rent out for their personal or business events… if it’s not already booked. Some of the events they have are every Tuesday is Bingo night, Wednesday are either music in the front bar or Karaoke, Thursday nights are free Trivia night with prizes, Friday night fish fry followed by music in the main hall, etc. Their are many other special events so come on in for a cocktail and check it out. This is a very nice and friendly place to come and hang out.“
“Sunday morning breakfast of Walleye and egg with hash browns (cheese and onion optional). Self - biscuit and gravy as just had walleye couple nights before. This has to be the most sausage in the gravy as I have ever had. Bloody is great and you can get it as spicy as you want. Great selection of craft beer for a chaser. Service was outstanding.“
“This is a different serving model. Went on a Friday night and the four of us enjoyed 3 different fish fry choices. The food was very good. You place your order at the counter and listen for them to call your name. Took about 6 minutes for our food to be ready. We ate at the attached Muskellounge bar. The bar and restaurant are separate entities but are clearly connected operations.“
“Really good atmosphere, super kind staff. The jam pretzel burger special was fire. Square cheese curds, strange shape, very tasty. I would definitely come back to this spot. They served an adequately liquored up drink and did it with a smile. I may have found my new "local" as they say out in the Midwest. ALL good here.“
