“It's one of my favorite 🇲🇽 restaurants in town. Every dish I've had there has been delicious. The staff are very friendly. Today's chile rellanos were a bit different than ice had at other places, smothered in a tomatoe based sauce with peppers, celery, onions, and tomatoes. Wonderful combo. They gave me a complimentary steak tostada because there was only one rellano instead of two. Their large horchatas are massive! On some lunch days, musicians will come in and play. I love how it's kind of hidden in a neighborhood.“

“I love the genuine Mexican food. We were a party of 3, and they wouldn't let us sit at tables that were more comfortable in case larger parties would come in, which never happened. We had to either sit with other people at a long table or a tiny one that 3 plates wouldn't fit on. They have a strange entrance. You walk through a much nicer room to go to a room that's smaller with torn stools. I would go back because the food is so good.“

“Chose La Chinampa to cater our wedding rehearsal dinner. We picked La Chinampa after trying out dozens of other Mexican restaurants in the Milwaukee area. They did a fantastic job. The food was delicious. All of our guests were very happy. It was packed in easy-to-use travel containers and stayed warm. Coordinating the order with the restaurant was simple. Would highly recommend La Chinampa's catering for events.“

“Came here on Sunday 8/10. Ordered a taco dinner with a Jamica juice beverage. The taco dinner comes with 3 tacos, rice, refried beans & salad.
I ordered 2 steak tacos & 1 al pastor pork taco, both were great, all was well seasoned, the jamica beverage was great, the service was great. For those who need to use the restroom, the restroom was clean. Lol. The only con I found was the PARKING.. LOL. We had to swing around a few times because there is hardly if any parking close at all, the customer parking in back only parks 2 cars so you have to find street parking somewhere, we had to park down the street. There is a small bar there, liquor is served at this location but family friendly. Over all it was great, i would definitely visit again.“

Parking: Small parking lot usually not crowded.
Kid-friendliness: Seems it would be kid friendly.
Wheelchair accessibility: No ramp to walkway but tables are well spaced. Probably good for wheelchair access inside.“

“Really great food and not charging you an arm and a leg for a taco is a plus these places charging 4-5 dollars for a taco is outrageous imo especially when theirs isn’t that good the steak looks like old wet boiled hamburger but this place gives you really nice seared steak and the chorizo is amazing love this truck.“

“A new friend recommended this place to us. We are so glad she did. It was so much more than a place to eat. It was a beautiful escape into another culture. The inside is a small mama/papa restaurant. As a survival from covid they extended their services to the back patio. As we walked between the close buildings we were transferred from a busy city street of Milwaukee to Mexico. Spacious, festive. On one side is a slushie bar. The rest is several spread apart tables mostly in shade naturally or by umbrellas. Peaceful little trees,plants, bird chirping, music to tap foot to, colorful flags above you. The menu has many options but not too long . I selected ensalada de pollo... A fresh chicken salad.... Delicious. Perfect summer day plate. A little shredded lettuce, grilled chicken, avocado,sourcream, tomato and cucumber. Plus, my favorite.... mushroom.
We truly forgot we were on a busy city block in Milwaukee.“
