“We just went for the first time, and it was fantastic. Attentive and friendly staff, and everything we ordered was amazing - from the drinks to the entrees (prime rib, lasagna, and a pizza) to the desserts (profiteroles and oh, that creme brulee!). We will be back, regularly, and we recommend it!“
“Wonderful experience for dinner at Salvatore’s, E Wash & Livingston, Madison, WI.Crispy Calabrese Tofu was exquisite. Pizza great! Manda’s service was above and beyond. She was great with my 7 year old granddaughter!Vegetarian options: Crispy Calabrese Tofu exquisite!“
“Cocktails and Misto salad were fantastic. Pizza was ok. This was our first visit and we’ll try pasta next time. Waitress was great.Parking: We had a 5pm reservation and the parking lot was already full. Give yourself enough time to hunt down a spot in the neighborhood. Not too difficult“
“I went here for lunch and it was super busy. I suggest ordering ahead of time and picking up because so many people were there. The sandwich itself was good and there’s a lot of food for the price. The main reason for only four stars is because of how busy it is and how their hours are very limited.“
“I ordered on line and didn’t get the confirmation email. I called the store and they had the order as pick up the person answering my was quick to be able to change my order. I was not able to get a confirmation for delivery time… but short after what would have been pick up, my delivery driver was here! I was not expecting so soon but he was so friendly and wanted to be sure I had my food! Every single order from Sal’s… all the staff are so wonderful! Amazing kindness!“
“Once again you did not disappoint. We went for brunch this time, EXCELLENT. The food was spectacular, service was great. Our waitress Laura friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Bartender took pride in her craft. Owner is so personable and had come to our table everytime we have been in. Highly recommend!!“
“I stopped here for the first time because I had an appointment a few buildings next door. What a nice little restaurant. It is super family-friendly, and you can tell the food is authentic. Excellent Service as well, they were super accommodating for handicapped people Very friendly. I really enjoyed the pizza I had there today.“
“Enjoyed the scampi, although it was a little spicier than expected. The chicken parm was just fair. The chicken was mostly breading and dry, there wasn't enough sauce, and the noodles were very dense and chewy. My husband and I split both the dishes we ordered and we both only took a few bites of the chicken parm and had the rest boxed up. Not sure we'll get back to it, maybe we'll add more sauce at home and try it again. Service was great. We said that we planned to share our dishes and everything came up "pre-split," with no added charge. We very much enjoyed the complimentary (special occasion) cheesecake!“
“Recently had the chance to be in Madison and Gino’s is absolutely, positively worth visiting. I had the Italian Beef and got the large. This is a good sized sandwich at 8”. The thinly shaved beef was done perfectly with just the right amount of fat to make the sandwich tender and flavorful. I thought the seasoning was well done and the au ju sauce was amazing! I thought it was awesome service when the woman who took my phone order suggested I get the sandwich “dry” and they would put the sauce in a to go container. She said it was worth it because it makes this sandwich and she wasn’t kidding. There’s a choice of hot or mild peppers. I chose the mild and they were sweet, with a low tinge of spice. I will get the hot next time. Bread was either fresh or baked in house. Had a nice crunch with a soft and mild flavored body. You will not be hungry after eating this sandwich! I grew up blocks away from Omaha Nebraska’s “Little Italy” and I’ve eaten more than a fair amount of Hot Italian Beef sandwiches in the last 50 years. This sandwich, Is up there. I’m looking forward to my next Wisconsin visit already!!“
“Fantastic selection of rotating items with fantastic and knowledgeable waitstaff. Bluntly, some selections on the menu are better than others but everything is still good. That said, the fact this restaurant rotates items so frequently is an open invitation to frequently return. I've noticed despite the frequent rotations that they always feature a vegetarian item. Occasionally features exotic meats like kangaroo. Would highly recommend to anyone. The humble butterscotch pudding is surprisingly one of the single best desserts I've ever had.“
“Solid choice for Italian food. Everything we ate was good. The pizza we had was tasty. Our pasta dishes were all good. We had the calamari for an appetizer, and it was kind of flavorless, but at least it didn't taste fishy. I think the breading could have used a bit more seasoning. The atmosphere is kind of fun, probably looks the same as it did in the 60s. Definitely the kind of place you can bring the whole family or a date.“
“We had a wonderful Friday fish fry experience. After a short wait and a tasty cocktail we were seated. My wife had the fried cod and I had the grilled Maui Maui. Both meals were delicious and the service was excellent. We are always pleased with the consistent great food and service we receive at Angelo's!“
“I was at Naples 15 and was in shock to see the Grammy-award winning pianist Bill Charlap and his wife Renee Rosness. They were visiting from New York and came for a concert but stopped by Naples 15 for remembrance for the friendship between Salvatore (owner of Naples 15) and the famous singer Tony Bennett.“
“Really quiet when we were here, populated but not busy or loud. Very very nice customer service, a little pricey but it's very good authentic food. Got Ravioli Carne, great spicy sauce and really good serving size, added a Caesar salad for $5, also very good. Creme Brulee was also delicious, not too sweet, and the canolli cake was magnificent, also not overly sweet, great balance between canoli and cake“
“Traveling and selected this restaurant from a Google search while on the road. Wowww! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, staff were personable, super cute outside dining with lighting & decor, clean! The FOOD: delicious. Many options for appetizers, entrees, desserts and large drink/wine menu. Unique recipes, flavorable, fresh, healthy portions. Lentil soup, house salads, and their version of “shrimp piccata” fresh fettuccine, capers, jumbo seasoned/fresh shrimp & plentiful, fresh herbs and more… I need THIS dish in my life regularly. I will return when back in the area.“
“Our waitress, Kayla, went above & beyond today! This was our first time here & everything was great. We were celebrating our granddaughter's 21st birthday. She was impressed with the Monte Cristo & fries. I requested the cod special baked instead of fried. It wasn't a problem for them. Thank you for a relaxing lunch. We will be back!“
“We finally ordered Zoe's for pick up last night. I had 1/2 vegan pepperoni 1/2 vegan pesto. Husband got regular cheese and garlic knots. I have been crazing pepperoni (vegetarian, which from most places is not at all like I remember pepperoni). Zoe's was EXCELLENT. The vegan pesto pizza was really good to. Whatever vegan cheese they are using is better than many places. The middle of my pizza was a little wet/floppy. Not perfection, but hey I will take based on how good the rest was. Could be a vegan cheese related issue?? My husband liked his pizza but didn't love it. He said it was chewy - he ordered hand tossed crust and said he would try a different one next time.Vegetarian options: There is a vegan menu - someone posted a photo on the Madison Area Vegans Facebook page. The online ordering system has vegan options, but there are more on the menu.“
“Best pizza in the entire Madison area. The online ordering for pickup is a breeze. We've not done delivery bc we live too far away but it's worth the drive. When ordering online it tells how long for pickup, and that time estimate is always spot-on. The food is always consistent too, so there's never a bad experience.“
“My office booked Common Pasta for a client event and it was such a hit! The menu was simple yet varied, the portions were large, and the food was indulgent in the best way. Incredible service from a chef who knows Italian food. I can't wait to eat Common Pasta again! Highly recommend the food and hiring their truck for your next event!“
“After living in South Dakota for 20 years...where no one can make a decent pizza...I have been trying for the last couple of years to recover from "pizza deprivation." I think that last night's visit to Sugar River Pizza in Sun Prairie just about finished the job! My husband, son, and I went there 7ish. There were a lot of cars in the lot, but the restaurant is huge, so we got a table immediately. The hostess warned us that their chip readers were down, and we'd have to pay cash. We figured out that between the three of us, we had over a hundred dollars and hoped that would be enough or one of us would have to scoot over to the bank ATM when the check came. We ordered the wheat breadsticks for an appetizer, one Moscow Mule, on special for $5, two glasses of St. Michele Rieslings, and a large Amazon pizza, thin crust. Everything came to our table quickly, but as it turned out, we would have waited forever for that pizza! It was outstanding! The crust was perfect, the toppings were fresh, just the right amount of sauce and cheese. We ate all but two slices and took those home along with an order of their warm dessert beignets. Total bill, before tip, less than $70!!Please do yourself a favor and go to Sugar River Pizza ASAP. You will not regret it!“
“I have always liked The Olive Garden! Foods that Built America 2024 has an interesting segment on the restaurant. Starting from scratch by Campbell's Soup executives who knew nothing about the restaurant business. The original name was The Olive Tree, which was already taken. Unable to get orders out fast enough on opening day, a decision to bring bread and salad to the table was born. Which I love!“
“First timer. Soooo good. I had takeout beef ravioli, we also got alfredo and spaghetti with Italian sausage. I had never seen it served with a sausage on the spaghetti. All dishes were amazing. Staff we’re very friend authentic. Can’t wait to dine in. Only wish they were open during the day because it is about a mile from work. Great atmosphere.“
“I like this downtown restaurant. On State St, about a block from the Capitol Square. I loved the dark atmosphere. Cool jazz music playing. Besides not being very loud in there, the booths help make it easy to have a conversation. The rough brick wall also helps to break up any noise. Our server was very friendly and the timing of her check-ins was good.First off, I liked the bread. Besides being complementary, each piece was crunchy on one side and warm & buttery on the other. The roasted mushroom crostini was a great way to start the meals. It was crunchy chewy, with the expected sweetness from the cheese and glaze. My salmon crunchy outside and soft moist inside. The garlic lemon sauce was a great added flavor. The shrimp scampi also tasted great, although a bit too heavy on the garlic. The Bliss Burger was a tasty burger dripping with juicy goodness. The accompanying fries tasted just McDonald's fries, but a little less salty. The meat in the Ziti with Ragu was a nice combo of hearty meat with soft tender tasty ziti. The waitress passed by with plates of desserts that looked real good, but we were just too full. ....Next time.Overall, I really liked this upscale city tavern.“
“Doughnuts are amazing. My family showed up on Friday night after getting some pizza. The workers there, a husband wife combo, were amazing. Not only were the doughnuts amazing, the workers laughed and joked with my 4 year old son. Showing him all the doughnuts they had in stock. They even gave us 2 free doughnuts to take home for tomorrow. I will be buying all doughnuts from here from now on. 10/10“
“Cozy atmosphere, delicious food, reasonable prices and great service. THIS IS A MADE TO ORDER RESTAURANT FOLKS!! You shouldn’t come here if you only have 30 minutes to eat only to then complain about the wait. The food is so well worth the wait. Soak in the atmosphere, enjoy a glass of wine, order their chèvre artichoke dip or bruschetta to get you started and relax. A few of our dinner favorites are The Great pizza, Chicken Marsala, Penne with homemade sausage, Butternut Squash Ravioli (their pink sauce is amazing), Analisas Favorite and their homemade tiramisu for dessert is to die for. Take in the fact that this is a small family owned restaurant that puts so much love into their food, you can taste it in every bite. They treat their employees like family and if you’re lucky enough, the owners will come out to share their stories in between the hard work they are putting in to feed you like you’re sitting at their dining room table. Give yourself time to go there, relax and you’ll quickly see how wonderful of a little gem LaRoccas is <3“
“Rocky Rococo is a special Midwest treat for us. I have been to many different Rocky Rococo franchises through the years, and the Sun Prairie one is really one of the best, if not the best, Ibhave ever visited. Puntual, accurate, and they provide a great service. We love the Perfect with pepperoni, and the motherload crust is delicious. A real special pizza.“
“Best italian food I've ever had. I had the special chicken and shrimp alfredo. It was the best alfredo, perfectly rich creamy just the right consistency. The Chicken was moist, Shrimp was grilled and plenty of it. I can't wait to go back. Service was the best.“
“One of my new favorite places to eat! Excellent drinks (especially the melon spritz), delicious food (the fried mozzarella balls and mafaldine cacio e pepe highly recommend trying) and beautifully decorated - absolutely love the vibes. Will definitely be back!“
“I visited this diner because sir hobos was closed for a family vacation. And I was NOT disappointed. The average crowd here will Definitely make you feel young...The pancakes are immaculate. Honestly best pancakes I've had in a long while. Fluffy but crispy at the sides. Exactly like mom would wake you up with on Saturday mornings.I would say the atmosphere is very ideal for a diner. They are kind enough to print large examples of food you're waiting to receive. The ambiance is a quiet nod to the early 2000's Tuscany kitchen remodel. And I love that they kept the old stainless steel coffee thermos. And they do a great service to the city of sun prairie for all the kindness they show the geriatrics. Dispite some of them being quite nasty to the staff. Wait staff - I see you and the patience you so undeservedly give.I did have to remove a skunk point because there was an onion on my pancake (not very big but I was still disappointed) and the hash browns were mid.Basically grandmas right, visit this place“
“Came here on a spare of the moment celebration of my son winning the championship youth football game and we came in to celebrate with the kids parents coaches and I'm sure it may have been overwhelming but they were doing everything to accommodate us so thank you so much and the food was amazing and I'll be back “
“I don’t usually write reviews but my experience at Luigi’s was amazing! We absolutely loved the racket and the Maximus! I’d also definitely recommend the garlic cheese bread. Service and atmosphere were also great! 10/10Vegetarian options: Tons of vegan, gluten free, and vegetarian options!“
“Love this place! Great service, great antipasto & the best spicy Italian sausage! Don't ask for brats because they don't have them! lol Cut little seating area inside or outside. Staff really cares about their product, quality & customers!“
