“Last night we had a large party for a 60th birthday. The food and drinks where delicious as always. Especially the seafood enchilada and mango margarita!! Our server, Madison, was absolutely outstanding. She handled our party of 22 like a pro. Everything went like clockwork and she was attentive, anticipatory and really friendly. She is a TRUE asset to your restaurant. Especially because she handled it all by herself!! The food runner was also courteous and efficient, quickly getting everyone their dishes. “This is a taco truck that my hubby and I saw and decided to stop and try it out, first we tried the tacos de asada, pastor, lengua y cabeza which it only took one bite to know that this are some of the best tacos we’ve had in a very long time, then we ordered a quesadilla and a torta, the quesadilla de asada was super big with a home made corn tortilla also super delicious and the torta de asada was fantastic, and the people that work in the taco truck are super nice and friendly... over all a fantastic experience. There are taverns along the road where a weary traveler may find a meal, take his rest, and continue onward.

And then there are places where one crosses the threshold and discovers an entirely different realm.

El Beso is such a place.

I have known the hospitality of many peoples in my travels. The Elves welcome a traveler with grace, song, and a table elegantly laid. The Dwarves will fill your cup, heap your plate, and expect a proper tale before the fire. And the Hobbits—well, a Hobbit considers an empty stomach a problem requiring immediate attention.

Yet the folk of El Beso possess a hospitality all their own.

Cross its threshold and the whole world seems to brighten. The halls are alive with color and cheerful conversation, while the sounds of a mariachi band carry through the air. There is the merriment of a lively tavern here, certainly—but something warmer beneath it.

It feels almost as though you have wandered past the restaurant entirely and through the gate of a great Latino family gathering in the backyard, where the music is already playing, the tables are crowded with food, glasses are being raised, and someone has decided that since you are here, you had better sit down and eat.

A traveler could grow quite fond of such customs.

And what a table!

The enchiladas have long been among my favorites, as have the quesadillas. Their salsa is excellent, while the queso possesses some curious enchantment by which an entire bowl disappears before one remembers eating it.

But every traveler eventually discovers his chosen potion.

Mine is the mango margarita.

Sweet, cold, and dangerously refreshing. I have encountered many mysterious brews upon the road, but this one has earned a permanent place in my chronicles. A second should perhaps be approached with the wisdom of an Elf rather than the enthusiasm of a Took.

El Beso remains one of my favorite taverns in all my travels—not merely for its excellent food and drink, but for its spirit. It somehow captures both the colorful delight of a bustling restaurant and bar and the warmth of being welcomed into a family celebration.

There is life within these walls. Music. Laughter. Generosity. Good food passed around a table. And that wonderful sense that there is always room for one more traveler.

Should your road ever lead you past El Beso, do not simply pass it by.

Enter the hall. Join the feast. Raise your glass among strangers who may soon feel like friends.

Our waitress, other waiters/waitresses in our area, and the woman who came over to help clean things up were so wonderful and also so nice to my son. No one looked disgusted or irritated. “Seriously....run so fast to eat at this Mexican Restaurant. My first time here and literally everything I put into my mouth was delicious. But seriously...everything! Fresh chips and bright fresh salsa. I ordered the flautas which came with 4 in the order and rice and beans....more on that in a minute. They let me get 2 shredded chicken and 2 shredded beef. The beef was insane....I usually get chicken...those were terrific as well. The beans were perfection, incredible!!!!! It was a real fiesta in my mouth...by far the best Mexican Restaurant I've ever eaten at. Fried ice cream was delightful as well. This is my place now. I told my husband that if I go missing someday, check at La Salsa 2 first because chances are I haven't been abducted, just enjoying some tasty Mexican food. 10/10, would recommend.“

This place being very similar ( better prices though ) but this place could really get a foot hold in this area, but the chicken was very dry and the rice was undercooked everything else about the burrito was awesome.
