“Ok. My backstory first.Drive past this place every week, and have noticed it prior to driving past every day for work. Been on the buckelist for some time.We go in today, packed in a great way. All the patrons were very orderly and courteous with new faces coming in. Invited us to the bar to get an old fashioned, and helped us out with the process: You order a drink and say you want to order, and they will find you. We were skeptical, but sure schnitzel, they found us to order. Drinks were great with an amazing offering, and pretty great beer selection as well.Food: Amazing staff handling thr seating, and offering suggestions. Love the sweet tooth integration with orders (have to visit to see what I mean). Spot on Fritters to start?!?!?! Strawberry soup?? Think the cold slurry that is the best part of a strawberry Sunday. Unexpected, but great! Steak was a great cut and prepared exactly how I ordered- chef recommendation. My wife got the perch, which was light and amazing as well. To finish, we got the pistachio cheesecake. What. The. Heck. Amazing. VERY well done- kudos to the female chef that was on the edge thinking it was too sweet, from what we heard...Been on the buckelist for some time, glad we stopped and will be back.Thank you folks, and CHEERS!”

“First time eating at Paula's pub and grill. The food was amazing, I had their prime rib. I asked for medium rare. It was more towards the medium to medium well, however it was very tender, very juicy and packed full of great flavor , by far one of the best prime ribs i've ever had . Customer service was almost too good if makes sense. Someone was checking on us every few minutes which could be a nuisance to some. However, they were very polite. Just wanted to make sure we have everything we want at all times or drinks being refilled at all times. After we were done eating but gentlemen who I would assume runs the bar ask my daughter if she would like a treat, he took her Joe basket of candy and allowed her to pick out whatever she wanted. I thought that was amazing and very kind. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was because although it's winter it was a little colder inside then we liked. But overall Paula's pub and grill was amazingKid-friendliness: Before arriving I did call to make sure I could have my child with me who is under the age of 10 The lady that answered the phone told me I could once arrived. We sat down and that gentleman who again I assume runs. The bar came up to me and had a nice little chat about how they're welcoming to children even though it's set up more towards a bar then a pub and grill. They do have seating in the back for dining.”

“If you find yourself in Kiel, Roeck's Bakery is 100% a must. A staple of Kiel since the late 1800s, Roeck's Bakery is a fourth-generation family owned and run bakery. The bakery isn't large, however there is a plethora of baked goods to select from. They also give 50% off on day old baked goods. Roeck's Bakery supplies many restaurants in Kiel with their delicious baked goods. My nephew loves their loaves of wheat bread. I must recommend their blueberry cupcake with cream center. I do not usually like cream in my cupcakes because typically the creams have a funny taste. At the insistence of my sister, I got the cupcake. I am so happy that I did! The cream is fresh and doesn't have any additives or flavors. Roeck's has redefined the cupcake! If you are not a cream person, like I was, maybe try Roeck's! You'll be presently surprised! Pro tip: go early! They are popular and sell out of baked goods by early to mid afternoon.”

“Amazing experience! First of all I will say this place in the middle of nowhere gets BUSY! We got there at about 3:30ish. With that being said, the process in which they get your drinks and take your food order is effective and the food is well worth the wait. When we entered practically every seat at the bar was taken. We found the hostess station and gave her our name and got menus. We were able to find a couple of seats at one of the tables near the bar. After you decide what you want you set your menu upright on the table. Within 2 or 3 minutes a waitress came by and took our order and said it would be about 45 minutes before our food would be ready and they would call our name over the speakers. We enjoyed some good strong Old Fashions while we waited and watched a ton of people come streaming in. At about the 45 minute mark our name was called and we left an extremely crowded bar and went to a dining area where our salads bread and relish tray were already waiting for us. Shortly after our calamari appetizer arrived then our prime ribs. They were amazing! I have to say the prime rib was flavorful and cooked to perfection. Our waitress was friendly and attentive our drinks were brought out quickly by our waitress. My wife had the peanut butter pie for dessert and I had the brownie sundae. Both were good. I highly recommend eating here for a great supper club experience.”

“This restaurant is such an eclectic place, you can't help but have you head on a swivel when inside. We've lived 4 blocks from this place for 8 years and just now visited for a belated Valentine's Day dinner, and we were so pleasantly surprised. My husband ordered the baked French onion soup as a starter, which was quite good, and we both ordered the surf & turf for our entrees. He had the lobster and I the shrimp. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and my shrimp was to die for! Our server was good, but we wished he had told us about any specials prior to us ordering. Despite the minor bumps in our visit, we'll still be back!”

“[Full disclosure: I did not buy a smoothie from Beyond Nutrition, as ALL smoothies are made with a gluten free powder containing artificial sugar. I have dietary sensitivities to artificial sugars.] Beyond Nutrition has a unique spin on smoothies and is very popular with locals. Beyond Nutrition is a chain of independently owned businesses- every store has their own menu. The Kiel location includes a gym in the back of the store which offers personal training opportunities and classes. The owner was nice and welcoming- she is passionate about her business model. She has many regular customers. Beyond Nutrition has a goal directed towards improving health and nutrition, as evidenced by weight-loss-progress-photos on the wall. The smoothies are not made with real sugar. They are made with a gluten free shake mix called Herbalife which is supposed to help promote weight loss, as meal replacement shakes. They weren't able to make any shakes without the powder, so I ended up opting out of a shake. It's a nice business- I wish them well. Beyond Nutrition is located in the center of town on the main street of Fremont and is exceptionally community oriented.”

“The atmosphere of this place is very nice. Perfect for a date night- but the bar looked like a good time as well! Got the Panko crusted chicken and it was divine. The beans are a perfect compliment, and the gravy is delicious. Servers have always been great. It is a little on the pricey side, only downside. So don't get to eat here as much but would recommend”

“We have eaten here many times. Very inconsistent food quality. One time the food will be great then the next it is mediocre. The wife orders different sandwiches each visit depending on what she is in the mood for, but I stick to my favorite ... the Rueben. My Rueben will come with well toasted bread one time and is excellent. Then I get those times where the bread isn't toasted very well or with a different type of bread and the sandwich will be soggy and blah. Even so ... we will continue to stop at Roadside most every time we pass through the area as the food is generally very good.”
