“Leon's has been on South 27th Street since 1942 and they remodeled in the early 1950s into the neon-lit, walk-up drive-in format that still exists today, meaning the building you're standing in front of has looked more or less like this since before most of your relatives were born. There's no dining room. You walk up to the window, you order, you eat in the parking lot or on the hood of your car, and on a warm Milwaukee evening you are surrounded by a full cross-section of the city doing the exact same thing.
