“GOOD GOLLY OH MOLLY this place SLAPS. Let me tell anyone reading this, this place is WORTH IT. I had the absolute privilege and pleasure of trying their food and will most certainly make this restaurant a staple. The roasted coconut drink (no photo as I drank it as fast as humanly possible) was great, almost like Nab Vam with tapioca jelly strips but a very rich coconut flavor. The Thai coffee was creamy, full flavored and delicious. The mango sticky rice had remarkably fresh mango, finished off perfectly with a sweet coconut cream. And a personal favorite, pad see ew, was some of the best I’ve had. The sauce was present but not too soupy or heavy— just the right amount to flavor the dish very well. The vegetables were fresh, crisp and bright against the dark soy and oyster sauces. The beef was tender, and the portions were good. While picking up my order I got to chat with the staff and relax inside. The interior is cozy, well decorated and clean. The staff were all insanely nice, showing me orders coming out of the kitchen so I could know what to get next time, love this spot!“
“New owners still getting their feet grounded. Sort of an unusual place. Mexican and Thai food. Talked with the owner, a very nice guy. They are still experimenting with the menu choices, based on the customer preferences. We would dine again.“
“There is no place to sit as they are understaffed. Remembr to call ahead, There is a 30 minute wait time. They are closed on Sunday and Saturday. The person in receptionist is super friendly. I do wish they would let people sit. There are only 2 seats in the reception where you have to sit for 30 minutes to get your order ready. The portion size is huge. I ordered a fried rice. 3-4 people can easily eat this.“
“This was a solid 4 stars. Could have been 5.We got a table right away. The hostess and server were friendly, and helpful. Not sure if it was a staffing issue, but our service was really spotty. Sometimes it was prompt and other times we had long waits, like the time between getting our drinks, and placing our orders. At the end of the meal, I had to approach the hostess to pay our bill.We had several questions and the service did a great job to help understand some of the specialty rolls. We ended up getting several appetizers including, Crispy Calamari, Pot Stickers, and Sashimi. Then we had a Specialty Roll, Mega Salmon. Liked everything with the exception of the Calamari, heavily breaded/battered, and tasted more like onion rings that octopus. Everything else was the right temperatures and tasty.Good place if you need a quick meal, but it's not on my A List for Sushi/Asian.“
“This was my first time trying Thai food, and won’t be my last time. This is probably one of the most pleasant experiences I’ve ever had at a dine-in restaurant. Very peaceful and welcoming atmosphere, delicious authentic Thai cuisine, and hands down the BEST service I’ve ever had. Our server, Clay gave us such a warm welcome and great suggestions on entrées to try. I decided on the volcano chicken which was *chefs kiss* delightful.“
“I grossly overestimated the amount I could fit in a dumpster bag, and had a driveway filled with debris. So glad I found Mekong! They were fast, responsive, friendly, and offered a fair price (better than the dumpster bag pickup would have been). Your search for junk removal ends here.“
“This is one of those places where I can try something new every time, and it's always incredibly flavorful. I tried my friend's dish, Nam Kow with ham, and it was the best tasting dish I've ever had! Everything is so tasty, and the staff is quite friendly.Vegetarian options: Any dishes can be made without fish sauce or components, and made with tofu as the main protein. (So yummy!)“
“Wife and I were recommended this restaurant. The place is small, but just fine - like an old school mom-and-pop diner atmosphere. Service was very quick and attentive. The food was decent, and certainly gave you enough, but they put more towards pure heat than the flavor of the ingredients (my wife had mild while I had medium). We'd go again the next time we're in that area.“
“Ordered the Pad Thai for pickup, it was ready prior to my order time, and when I arrived at the location the person at the front was going out of their way to assist another customer with small children, helping bring food out to their car. Thought it was terrific customer service. The Pad Thai was well made and I'll be returning on my next trip to town.“
“May have finally found the most authentic Thai in the Milwaukee area. Their menu is a bit limited (only 2 curries offered) but it seems that everything they offer is delicious. My go-to is tofu pad see ew and it was so flavorful and moist. My friend got the pork belly and I tried a bite, the dipping sauce is so dang good. The dessert was delicious as well. The portions are huge and it's reasonably priced. There were a good amount of people on a Friday night. Service was great. Would definitely come back!“
“The pad Thai was delicious, except they didn't mention that shrimp was a $4 upcharge. (For like 4 shrimp.) The menu specified that on some other dishes, but not that one and the server never asked. The volcano chicken was pretty good, too.Their bubble teas were a good price but certainly not the best ones I've had.Overall we liked our experience and would return.“
“Working on National Ave. See people coming and going. So you know its good. I came in after work. In my work clothes. And they were as friendly as if I were in a 5☆ restaurant. Delicious food. Can't wait to try the larb!!!Great people. That's a Delicious and successful combination!!!I promise I'll be there again and again.“
“WOW - amazing!! My husband and I are very passionate about thai food and it's hard to find a place that has good red curry AND padt thai! Both dishes were very good. Tom Kha soup was also very good. I live 30 minutes away and by the time I got home the crab rangoons were still crispy and delish. Will be back!“
“I knew my night would be crazy, so I placed a to go order to make sure I got in dinner early. My order consisted of beef pad see ew and pork egg rolls. The pork egg rolls were fantastic. Really good size, fresh ingredients, and amazing flavor. I would order these again in a heartbeat. The pad see ew is ok. I didn't think there was enough egg in it, I wasn't overly fond of the white onion, and both the broccoli and carrot seemed like they were added afterwards and not cooked in the sauce with the noodles and beef because they were harder than expected and didn't absorb any of the flavor of the sauce. Certainly not my favorite pad see ew in the area, but I wouldn't be opposed to getting it again.“
“I'm particular about sushi, and this place didn't disappoint. So tasty! I'd recommend over a lot of other sushi places. I'll definitely be going back.Parking: I had to park down the street and around the corner, but the food was worth it.“
“I haven't been here in years until I was craving Thai food recently. The Pad Kee Mao, Kang Dang Curry, Spicy Chicken in peanut sauce and egg rolls were all delicious and served in large portions. Ordered through doordash and pickup was smooth.“
“One of the best stops for lunch to go / pick up in the 3rd ward area downtown. The lunch specials are a good go-to. You can get one or two entrees. It’s been my go to, but today I did notice the price was $3 more than what was marketed on their chalkboard.Grab a meal to go, stay at their bar, or take it upstairs. You can park in the public market and get a free 1 hour voucher as long as you save your receipt.“
“Ordered Togo from here because it was the most affordable food options on Uber Eats and boy am I happy we did! In this economy, Thaibbq is the most affordable take out option with an abundance of food! We got the fresh spring rolls, tofu pad Thai, crab wontons, and Pad Laos Pork Noodle. All very good besides I probably won’t get the fresh spring rolls again. They weren’t bad just not for me. Crab wontons were a pleasant surprise on how good they were and both our noodle dishes were 10/10. I joke as DanDans crab wontons are $16 and theirs aren’t even half as good as these. Will come in for dine in next time!“
“Back in Milwaukee for a college reunion and HAD to make my first stop at King and I and they did not disappoint! I was accidentally given the wrong spice level on my noodles and called to see about a refund. Not only did the woman work with the owner and management to get me a full refund, but they also redid my order and delivered it to me for free! Customer Service like no other here. 10/10 all around!“
“Solid Thai food in the area for delivery! Portions are a good size, the spring roll was ok, the satay was great! I got the pad kee mao with tofu, they could've gone heavier on the broccoli but overa great flavor and spice. Partner got green curry medium spice and boy was it hot! The site didn't specify that rice was included with the curry so we ended up buying a side but otherwise everything was great. Do wish they offered a smaller portion of fried rice as we love it but couldn't justify a full meal size“
“Very hip space and friendly staff. It was easy to get a spot here for a weekday lunch, though I could imagine it gets busy for dinner. The moo ping (pork skewers) came recommended and were delicious, perfect texture and very tender meat. The Bermuda Triangle roll was very good though had a bit too much sauce. They have a kids menu with meals for only $6 and daily specials, including half off select bottles of wine on Wednesdays. Overall highly recommend and look forward to coming back!“
