“We come to Canaan Valley every summer and we eat breakfast of The Smokehouse which is connected to the Lodge. On many days they have a buffet set up but on others you order from the menu. The food is delicious and the prices are great. The servers are very friendly and they do a good job taking care of the customers. The restaurant is large but you can ask to be seated near the windows which face a lovely garden. After breakfast it's nice to take a stroll outside or sit in the chairs and look at the gorgeous view. We haven't eaten any meals except for breakfast but I highly recommend going there to get your day started out right! Good coffee, too!

Parking: The parking lot is enormous! There are, of course, accessible parking spots.“

“My group stopped in for lunch. They were busy but our wait staff was very attentive. Everything on the menu is made in house. The fish is caught locally, the crab is caught in Maryland, the meat is ground in house and you can tell. Our food was very delicious! Seasoned just right, fresh, hot, so well made. I love a good sweet tea and mine did not disappoint.“

“Stopped during mountaineer days for a drink and ended up buying some apples as well. Everything was the best, apples were extremely fresh crisp and tasted wonderful! Lemonade was squeezed fresh and was perfectly sweet and sour, one of the best glasses of lemonade I’ve had. I will definitely be back!“
